Martial returns for United as Fraser is benched again

The final match of Gameweek 20 takes place at Old Trafford this afternoon, as Manchester United take on Bournemouth. Kick-off is at 16:30 GMT.

Anthony Martial has recovered from illness to reclaim his place on the left of United’s front three, while Paul Pogba makes his third successive start under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Martial takes the place of Juan Mata, while Solskjaer has made three other alterations to the side that beat Huddersfield Town 3-1 on Boxing Day.

Ashley Young replaces right-back Diego Dalot, Eric Bailly ousts Phil Jones at centre-half and Ander Herrera is in for Fred in midfield.

Having been beaten 5-0 by Spurs in Gameweek 19, Eddie Howe has made three changes to his side and is deploying a wing-back system for the trip to Manchester.

Diego Rico and Jordon Ibe come into the side on the flanks, with Joshua King joining Callum Wilson in attack.

Ryan Fraser is benched for the second time in three Gameweeks, meanwhile.

Jefferson Lerma – who sits on nine yellow cards – and the injured Simon Francis are the other two players dropping out.

Manchester United XI (4-3-3): De Gea; Young, Lindelöf, Bailly, Shaw; Ander Herrera, Matic, Pogba; Lingard, Rashford, Martial.

Bournemouth XI (3-5-2): Begovic; Cook, Ake, Daniels; Ibe, Stanislas, Brooks, Surman, Rico; Wilson, King.

Sorry for posting sort of the same question multiple times, but sitting with 1FT and 2.6 ITB, and the situation is screaming for a straight swap from Son to Hazard. Is there any reason not to?

    Salah - Son - Pogba - Richarlison
    Kane - Rashford - Jimenez

Nope. Hazard is a season keeper.

Monitor Rashford. I didn’t see it or read anything, but heard he came off with a strain of some variety. With Lukaku back and OGS saying Alexis would be back against Newcastle, Rashford would seem to be a doubt even if it’s just a knock. Why would OGS risk him with negligible rest?

As long as you've a decent bench defender/mid to cover Rashford's potential injury

        AWB/Schindler. It should suffice.

Will Martial start at Newcastle? Need to decide between Sane to Pogba or Martial to Pogba.

I think he'll start but the double up would be tempting, no?

Mitrovic out for Jiménez, for free?

    Or would you keep?
He scored this GW but has frustrated me a lot in previous GWs.

Jiménez three decent home games in the next 4 but could be given a rest next GW, maybe?

I'm a Jimenez owner, but that seem a little bit sideways to me. Mitrovic clearly has goals in him, and should be a dead certain penalty taker from now on. I'm happy to stick with Jimenez, but wouldn't use a transfer on getting him instead of Mitrovic.

        Fair enough.

Will probably do it but you’re making a lot of sense. Thanks for replying

Would you get Pogba in this team somehow? If yes, how?

    Fabianski
    Alonso - Trippier - TAA
    Hazard - Son - Martial - Anderson
    Kane - Vardy - Mitrovic

    Hamer - Bennett - AWB - Schneiderlin

0 FT and 1.2m in the bank.

    Any help appreciated. 🙂

Burnley defenders look a better bet in front of Heaton. Which of them are nailed on?

Tarkowski and Mee are nailed, Taylor almost is.
I could see Burnley getting a new right back in January though, so maybe something to watch.

Unlikely but a Cardiff player and a former Man City manager could influence Son only playing one Asian Cup game. How can that be? 😉

I'd stay as you are if I were you. Moving Shaw on would be a good place to raise some funds and I'm not overly fussed on Sigurdsson at the moment either to be honest.

Rashford > Mitrovic or Arnautovic or Wilson and Felipe Anderson > Pogba. I am on Wildcard so no problem with minus points. What do you think?

I've got Pogba tonight myself but would hold off on shifting Rashford in case of a price rise. I'm considering Wilson > Arnautovic too as I can see better results from West Ham in the short term.

I've brought Pogba in for de Bruyne but wondering whether to use a bit of the spare cash on Wilson to Arnautovic. Looking at West Ham's fixtures, I could see them having a decent Jan/Feb that looks a bit less likely for Bournemouth.

Anyone tempted by Dwight Mcneil at 4.4 after today's performance?

With Salah getting more expensive (now £13.3) is it a viable alternative to have Mane/Shaq and Firmino double combo instead as funds are tight? To funds Salah I’d have to go with a bench fodder striker eg Kamera or Success. Thoughts?
