is Sterling nearly £2m better than Sane??

Only when Mendy is back, for now Sane > Sterling

      😀
Great top of the page post.

I think until Mendy is back Sane is the better pick from those two.
Although Sterling is more explosive. So long term better option IMO.

Not while Mendy is out imo. Also for 11m I'd want someone I can comfortably captain in an easy game.

I was referring to rotation, there's no threat of that for Hazard.

Probably not. Sterling is the better option, but £2m is a lot of money especially in defence.

I think that Pep rates Sterling more and that Rahem's timing to make runs in the box for easy tap ins is something very valuable from FPL point of view.
However recently Sane seems to be in better form so it makes sense to have the German and save cash.

Yeah it's impossible to justify the 2m difference when there stats playing similar minutes are not far apart

Hazard has 5ppg since GW8 and Rich 16pts last 5. I calculated Rich last 5 out of curiosity since Deulofeu back that long and has 31pts. Pereyra 26 Siggy 23. Rich is flailing up against similar priced and cheaper options

What about Hazard from GW14? Or Richarlison's last 7, for instance?

Get that you don't want them, think they're terrible options or whatever, but every other one of your posts is you skewing the stats to suit your story.

I didn't think Kamara would play again Ranieri was so angry at him taking penalty 2 games ago. The Arsenal consolation goal was a 29 min sub appearance

Yeah same. I remember seeing something on here that every time he starts a game he gets nothing, but most times he comes off the bench he scores. Could be Ranieri's supersub moving forward which I can live with. He will most likely be third sub anyway tbf.

Ings has some great home fixtures coming. Could be good value IF he plays. I'd rather do that than lose Richarlison.

I really like Ings but again it's his hamstring. I basically have to choose between Brooks playing most weeks (rotate with AWB or Kiko) or Ings playing most weeks. Ings better fixtures, on pens and likely to be involved in the goals. But does he play.... Thanks for you help.

5ppg since and 2 double figure hauls since GW8 for 11.1m I don't dislike him per se and he could score great next game but the mythical love for him on here when he did the bulk of his scoring in GW 1-8 is astonishing

7ppg since GW14 good enough? GW 9-13 he was either injured or had tough fixtures. But don't let the facts get in the way of a good story.

If you bought him after GW8 he has a ppg of 5 and 2 double figure hauls. Is that worth 11.1m? Many captained him back to back last 2

If you bought him after GW14 he has a ppg of 7 and 2 double figure hauls. He won't be leaving my team for the time being that's for sure.

Respect your opinion and the fact that you don't like him as a pick, but 5 posts a page banging on about his ppg from a cherry-picked starting GW is a bit much.

I took the GW14 challenge. Anderson and Pogba have 51pts vs Hazard 56. Pogba didn't play 2 of the games and a 3rd was only 15 min sub and Anderson costs 7.4m

Deulofeu is a good pick. Since back to normal minutes from injury 5 games ago he has 31pts. That's 15 more than the likes of Rich and only 5.5. I think he's a viable 4th mid definitely 5th in a 352

Has much been said about Puncheon on here? 4.2 for what's likely to be a creative starting midfielder, could be a decent enabler.

Do we think he'll start? I'm probably going to bring him in this week regardless to enable Salah, but would be nice if my third bench fodder was nailed too!

I think so, especially while Mooy is still out (which is at least the next month, according to reports). Huddersfield are desperately short of creativity, likely to get set pieces too I imagine.

Think I want to double up on this pool defence. TAA is in, but what about the second slot?

They’ve all get their up/downsides. Should I just get Robertson, or is there merit in VVD due to his low ownership? However, how likely is it that VVD out scores Robertson anyway?
Alison is cheaper and there are a lot of good 5M defenders IMO that. Could be effective rotating for their good fixtures (kolasinac for example).

    Alison - 5.9m - 11% top 10k ownership
    Robertson - 6.6m - 70% top 10k ownership
    VAn Djik -6.4M - 11% top 10k ownership

Few opinions on this would be great 🙂 thanks.

I have Robbo and TAA but if I was buying now Robbo would be bottom of the list. Probably VVD first because of goal threat

Think Robbo and VVD are similar for attacking threat and VVD is cheaper. VVD also more nailed (Robbo WILL miss the odd game through rotation). Also similar on BPS I think.

Could be a personal preference thing - but think VVD and Alisson edge him at his current price

The thinking behind it is I am going to be captaining Salah basically every week now. With that said can I really go on with a 12.6m player? Surely Sane Arnie outscores Kane Gunarsson. Makes the team flexible to plum fixtures as well.

Won't have Son after United. Couple lucky bounces. Didn't really click with Moura. I'd never captain him over Salah so I'm fine taking him out for Salah.

GW23 I'm thinking of doing Jimenez and Hazard to Aguero and Redmond. Would leave me with

Salah Pogba Redmond Rich D Silva
    Aguero Kane

Just think Aguero is going to be a better prospect than Hazard from now on and Southampton have decent fixtures.

  24. diesel001

Up to the end of GW21, outside of the Top 4, there have been 72 clean sheets. Of those 72 clean sheets:

    - 0 have come against Liverpool, Man City, Spurs and Arsenal
    - 1 has come against Man Utd (Palace)
    - 2 have come against Everton (Leicester, Brighton)
    - 4 have come against Chelsea (Leicester, Southampton, Everton, West Ham)

This means 65 out of 72 clean sheets gained (90%) by non-Top 4 teams have come against 13 PL teams (65%). So looking at fixture runs of the non-top 6 of at least 8 GWs to avoid the above 7 teams:

Brighton: GW24 - GW32 play only che (11% bad fixtures)
Cardiff: GW22 - GW31 play ars EVE (20% bad fixtures)
Palace: GW24 - GW33 play MUN tot (20% bad fixtures)
    Leicester: GW27 - GW35 play none (0% bad fixtures)*
Newcastle: GW26 - GW36 play EVE ars (18% bad fixtures)
    Wolves: GW23 - GW29 play eve (14% bad fixtures)

*Everton from GW22 - GW26 with a switch to Leicester in GW27 gives a 0% bad fixture rate for 14 GWs

Pool double up, Doherty, AWB and Alonso. Alonso to Pereira in 26/27 is what I'm doing. Not even bothered to look for elsewhere.

    2. diesel001
      • 7 Years

Note: Man Utd and Arsenal have both kept 3 clean sheets each. So for non-top 6 teams, 59 out of 66 clean sheets (90%) by non-top 6 teams have come against 13 PL teams.

If I were WCing in GW23, I would be looking at a defence below. You can play 4 at the back with good fixtures up to GW31. GW32 becomes an issue because TAA plays TOT and Yedlin has ars. You would probably just play TAA though. GW34 is similar, but you would play TAA vs CHE and bench PVA vs MCI.

        Etheridge - Gunn
        TAA - Digne* - Doherty - PVA - Yedlin

*Switch Digne to Perreira from GW27

I feel that I wasted my first wildcard by keeping it untill the last round in 2018. I was placed 200 k when I used it and now two rounds later I'm still placed 200 k. So should I just prepare to use my second wildcard early in 2019?

I have two free transfers but tempted to use the wildcard, The wise thing would probably be to wait untill the double game weeks begins, but I seem to always get it wrong anyway 🙂
