Llorente leads the line for Spurs as Pochettino deploys wing-backs

The final match of Gameweek 23 takes place this afternoon at Craven Cottage, as Fulham face injury-hit Tottenham Hotspur. Kick-off is at 16:00 GMT.

Spurs are, of course, without Harry Kane, Son Heung-min and Moussa Sissoko, all of whom have played vital roles for the Lilywhites over the last couple of months.

Lucas Moura, meanwhile, isn’t fit to feature because of a knee injury.

Fernando Llorente is handed his first Premier League start of the season and only his second in a Spurs shirt, with Erik Lamela and Davinson Sanchez also given recalls as Mauricio Pochettino switches from a 4-4-2 diamond to what looks like a 3-4-2-1.

That system change would likely see Christian Eriksen – who was bought by over 100,000 FPL managers ahead of Gameweek 23 – drop back into a central midfield two alongside Harry Winks.

Danny Rose replaces Ben Davies on the left flank, meanwhile.

Claudio Ranieri’s only alteration sees Ryan Babel make his Fulham debut in place of Ryan Sessegnon.

As expected, Aboubakar Kamara isn’t involved in the Cottagers’ match-day squad after a reported training ground bust-up.

Spurs won the reverse fixture of this match 3-1 back in August, with Kieran Trippier the only one of the three Spurs goalscorers who lines up this afternoon.

Aleksandar Mitrovic was on target for Fulham at Wembley.

The Cottagers have conceded more goals, big chances and efforts on target than any other Premier League side in 2018/19 but Ranieri’s troops have only conceded four goals in their four most-recent top-flight fixtures at Craven Cottage.

Fulham XI (3-4-3): Rico, Odoi, Ream, Le Marchand, Christie, Seri, Chambers, Bryan, Babel, Schurrle, Mitrovic.

Spurs XI (3-4-2-1): Lloris, Alderweireld, Sanchez, Vertonghen, Rose, Winks, Eriksen, Trippier, Dele, Lamela, Llorente.

Auba. Save yourself from the -4. I knee-jerked Auba out this week after giving him the armband against WH, but then I looked at his numbers. Felt stupid, so I'm planning Firmino to Auba after the Arsenal/City match. Great way to waste FT's.

It would be nice if there was an option on the fpl transfer page to sort by percentage owned and be able to set a threshold like you can with a players price.

I know but being bale to set an % owned by threshold is not.

It would just save a lazy bugger like me from going flicking the pages to get to the bracket for what i would consider differentials.

    Sane coming in for me.

Fairly confident he will start even after Mendy is back.

Has been one of their best players and it's his place to lose.

Can always play narrow after Mendy arrives, else on the right.

The problem is that there is not a place at stake. The role may not exist in its current form if the system is tweaked.

That said, I think the Mendy/Sané incompatibility is overstated. As you say, it's possible for Sané to play narrower. Pep is unlikely to have a dogmatic approach to what is possible and impossible in the team. Perhaps just preferences which can be overidden depending on the priorities each week.

Early thoughts on how to order my lineup?

    Patrício
Robertson, Trent (LEI) / Doherty (WHU)
Sterling, Sané (new) / Pogba (V), Martial (BUR) / Alli (WAT)
Aubameyang (C) (CAR) / Rashford (BUR)

Hamer | Digne (hud), Wan-B (sou), Kamara (BHA)

Likely to keep Alli or swap for a Spurs mid anyway. 1FT. 0.2 ITB

      2 debatable areas:

      1. Digne v Doherty (again lol)

      2. Auba v Salah v Sterling v a-differential-Rashford (c).

      For me:
      1. Digne
      2. Salah

Nice set up nonetheless. Alli worth tracking on injury news. Given potential blank maybe worth not going for Spurs.
