Breakfast Club – Wild Thing

Breakfast Club is back this morning in its usual slot.

It’s a live stream/podcast with a difference this week as the Fantasy Premier League deadline has already passed, so the focus will be less on Gameweek 33 than on the fixtures ahead.

From 11:15 am we will be live on our YouTube channel, and in the embedded link below, discussing plans for the mini-Double Gameweek 34 and beyond.

Joining Joe today are the site’s deputy editor Neale, in for the absent David, and former FPL winner Simon March.

They’ll reveal their strategies for the Wildcard, Bench Boost and Triple Captain chips and highlight some of the players that are catching the eye for the season run-in.

It’s a good idea. Emery said they either play alone or together based on fitness. If you get them together you are on it. However I had both earlier in the season and was really disappointed even when they both played

If you’re chasing and need differentials, it could work. But if you’re protecting a lead and / or have a high OR and want to protect it, yes I think that’s all insane.

    Anyone getting Leno on WC.

    1. Sterling Malory

I don't have WC but I don't see the appeal. Arsenal are poor defensively, especially away from home.

Kola makes more sense, at least he offers attacking threat.

Yes but arsenal have the second best defensive record behind man city in 2019, so the poor defensively argument is invalid, but i do agree that Kola over Leno still a better option

          concede loads away from home

        2. JohnnyMagrinho
            5 years, 1 month ago

Just because Arsenal have done a bit better defensively in recent games doesn’t mean they’re not still a bad investment regarding defenders.

They always look like they’ll concede especially on their travels.

5 clean sheets all season in the league? Great clean sheet potential there.

        Kola, Foster & Salah
        or
        Trippier/Laporte, Ederson/Lloris & Mane

Might need Salah for TC in 36 so that is a big consideration.

Probably the salah one actually, dont see any huge advantage in the spurs/city dgw in 35 so just as much chance of kola/foster doing the business

Definitely the former. Lots going Mane over to Salah to save funds but if Salah explodes it would be difficult to get him in and would take at least one hit. If Salah is playing poorly then easy to downgrade to Mane for TC on 36 or even switch Sterling/whoever your second mid is for Mane and then have treble Pool vs Hud in 36.

          1. Karan14
            • 8 Years

First WC draft, thoughts? BB35 and TC36

        Foster - Ryan
        TAA - Kolasinac - Doherty - Dunk - Valery
        Salah - Sterling - Jota - Deulofeu - JWP
        Kane - Lacazette - Jimenez

This leaves exactly 0.0 ITB. I'd consider havign Camarasa for 34 and then switching to JWP for 35.

I agree although not sure on better mid priced mids so would either mean downgrading Salah to Mane and upgrading Jota to a Spurs mid. Could go Duffy over Doherty although 3 Brighton defenders seems like overkill unless I did Ryan and Doherty to Leno and Duffy say

I think the Huddersfield fixture screams 'Champions League hangover' at the very least. I expect to see a tired Spurs performance grinding out a narrow win, as opposed to a dominant display. It's what's putting me off captaining a Spurs player this week.

They do have a tendancy to be worse after CL games, good point.

On WC, like this team but is the DEF too weak with 2 SOU? (Bednarek enables Mane)

        Ryan / Foster

        Doherty / Kolasinac / Duffy / Valery / Bednarek

        Sterling / Mane / Son / Doucoure / JWP

        Kane / Lacazette / Jiminez

        £0.0 ITB

        Ryan
        Foster
        Kolasinac
        Laporte
        Robertson
        Dunk
        Bednarek
        Doucoure
        De Bruyne
        Salah
        Son
        Hudson-Odoi
        Jiminez
        Kane
        Lacazette

Current 15 trying to fit Kane and Salah. Not bad but maybe one too many comprises.

If you switch Robbo to Trent you might be able to get an extra million to get someone better elsewhere

Bit worried about rotation now after he got taken off yesterday when they needed to win.

If Cardiff have already dropped then a Man U asset might be what I go for

Nothing to play for though with Liverpool having the league wrapped up.

Looking forward to seeing everyone's teams this week. Definitely going to be more variety in them than with the GW32 squads

        RMBBT

        Foster - Gunn
        Trippier - Kolasinac - Holebas - Valery - Bennett
        Sterling - Mane - Son - Deulofeu - JWP
        Kane - Lacazette - Jimenez

Ryan and Murray will be in there for Gunn and Jimenez in DGW 34.

        Thoughts? 🙂

Is it worth -4 for Murray perhaps having an extra game

Not really a fan of planning hits, an injury could throw everything out of the window.

Otherwise not a bad team. Reckon Tripps will play both games?

No love for the Doc? Is that because people think he will get rested? I got him at 4.4 so Im not sure if I will find better value anywhere else for that money, and he has decent fixtures with a double as well.

If you have him at 4.4 defo keep - no brainer.
