Grealish and Heaton fit to start in final match of Gameweek 13

Aston Villa take on Newcastle United at Villa Park this evening. Kick-off in the very last match of Gameweek 13 is at 20:00 GMT.

The Magpies are unbeaten in their last three fixtures and a win for Steve Bruce’s side would lift them above Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur into ninth.

Villa, on a three-game losing streak after a tricky run of matches, will be hoping to pull four points clear of the drop zone with victory tonight.

From a Fantasy perspective, the headline news sees the return of Tom Heaton (£4.5m) and Jack Grealish (£5.9m) from calf injuries.

Heaton missed out in Gameweek 12 and subsequently pulled out of the England squad, while Grealish hasn’t started a league game in a month.

Bjorn Engels (£4.5m) hasn’t recovered, however, so Ezri Konsa (£4.3m) starts again at centre-half.

Trezeguet (£5.2m) drops to the bench to make way for Grealish, while Conor Hourihane (£5.7m) replaces Marvelous Nakamba (£4.4m) in central midfield.

John McGinn (£5.9m), the only Fantasy Premier League asset who sits in more than 10% of squads, maintains his ever-present record.

Bruce’s only alteration from Gameweek 12 is an enforced one, with captain Jamaal Lascelles (£4.4m), who picked up a knee injury against Bournemouth, replaced by Paul Dummett (£4.4m).

Newcastle defenders have scored seven of their last nine league goals.

Not a single United player can boast a double-digit ownership, with bench fodder option Isaac Hayden (£4.4m) their most-owned player in FPL.

Aston Villa XI: Heaton; Guilbert, Konsa, Mings, Targett; McGinn, Douglas Luiz, Hourihane; El Ghazi, Wesley, Grealish.

Newcastle United XI: Dubravka; Fernández, Clark, Dummett; Yedlin, Hayden, Shelvey, Willems; Almirón, Saint-Maximin; Joelinton.

Have a midefild of Sterling De Bruyne Maddison and Mane with 0.0 itb... do you reckon i should get rid of Sterling for Son for free this week or hold as its away to newcastle?

Don't think you can go wrong either way, I expect returns from both Son and Sterling(specially if Aguero is out) next gameweek.

If your not going to captain Sterling over the next 5 gameweeks then selling him for Son looks a good move

Sterling + Jota -> Salah + Ings for free? After that I would have:

    Pope
    TAA - Lundstram - Rico
    Salah - Mane - KDB - Mount
    Vardy - Abraham - Ings

    Button - Willems - Dendoncker - Kelly

Playing for once a European champion club, how does Guilbert look? Looking for cheap and reliable defender.

He really is, he’s in some of my plans depending on what i do to enable some midfielders i want, would just mean letting a defender like Tomori or Soy go for him, but at the same time wanna keep those two for now hehe

I’d say so, last two games shut outs with Taylor installed, i’d say it’s his place to lose now

They do, but at that price for a bench player in a notoriously good defence, it’s a win either way 😉

It was Pieters who took his place whilst he was injured.........he is the first choice and after these past three weeks not going anywhere soon

Both look really good options as well as Mcginn, however, with their upcoming fixtures id advise waiting to around GW18 before bringing in any of their assets!

One does not poo his pants without sterling, one realises that a haul doesn’t make up for what he’s done, and that the spread of funds covers him anyway. Plus he’ll do nothing anyway as usual, useless and worst value player in FPL.
