With just seven days to go until the 2021/22 Fantasy Premier League (FPL) season kicks off, now seems like a good time to share my latest draft.
And it is very much a draft, and one which is evolving on a daily basis right now!
However, I don’t envisage too much changing between now and next week’s deadline, providing Harry Kane (£12.5m) and Romelu Lukaku don’t turn up at Manchester City and Chelsea that is.
Is omobamidele a starter? I like the team, nice attack.. bench is a bit weak in my opinion but not bad at all...
Most likely of the 4m defenders I think
Maybe Livramento later in the season, but for now it's Omobamidele.

Yeah Bruno vs No Bruno is my biggest qustion atm.
Some points in favour of No Bruno:
—> Won’t captain him (and it’s a 12M asset…) in any of the first GWs;
—> No Bruno allow better distribution of funds allowing Son Mahrez + upgrades elsewhere.
But it’s a tough one….
Pretty good - best of luck. I’m not sure on the villa double up front from the off. They both have the experience I know but, even with the fixtures, at a new club it can take time to get organised and then the fixtures turn

Ings had pre-season, very experienced in the PL, I think he’ll adapt well.
Buendia appeals mainly because of his price. I think Villa will create many many chances over the first 3 GWs and I can see Buendia involved.

Why? They started actually to did better when Gundo stepped after KdB injury last season. Foden isn't regular starter. They have enough quality.

Yes, and that makes me to consider having Gundogan and Mahrez instead of Bruno. Risky either way though. But together they have probably higher ceiling.
I've just downgraded Bruno to Mahrez and upgraded defence to Shaw and feel a lot better for it

Totally suprised that Pereira has left West Brom to go to Al Hilal. I really thought a mid-table Prem club would sign him. He's only 25 and a very talented player. I thought the Saudi league was a last pay day when pushing mid-30s.

It had occurred to me.
He can hardly be overjoyed at the thought of Kane joining...in fact the opposite. The fee is a lot of money and Spurs don’t have a genuine striker...so the idea has legs and I’m sure it must at least have been discussed at one or both clubs, even if only tentatively.

No right or wrong really with that. Traditionally there has been better value in midfield as there are more options particularly around the 5.5 mark, allowing you to invest up top where 5.5 for example gets you very little. Toney is a good enabler / alternative to someone like Ings and use the funds elsewhere. Good luck either way.

Tough one. Both have great points potential. I'm currently on Barnes but I can totally see the Jota argument and he arguably plays more advanced than Barnes

I've ditched Bruno and it definitely allows more balance in the squad. Stick with it. Good squad now
Like the double city midfield. One of the better teams I've seen on here. Especially from GW2 onwards.
With so many City injuries, I think the GW1 attackers becomes almost predictable...
Considering preseason appearances/first team trust, Mahrez and Gundo are nailed on. That leaves two slots minimum left. Let's go through them...
Bernardo - 0 minutes preseason so far. Unsettled and wants to leave (heavily implied by Pep).
Foden - Out injured
KdB - Out injured
Torres - 0 minutes preseason. Likely to be benched since he wasn't a solid first teamer for most of last season.
Sterling - 0 minutes preseason. Likely starter imo because he recovers fast and fills LW and CF and at least offers some degree of familiarity which is important for Pep when he doesn't know how ready everyone is.
Jesus - 0 minutes preseason. This one is very odd to me that he hasn't featured. He was banned for the last few Copa games so he's had ample time to be back to play in preseason yet hasn't. Suggests something's off/he wants out. I think he's very unlikely to start.
Grealish - Definite no for CShield. But I have a feeling he will make GW1, huge signing, plus the fact that the guys above are all out or question marks...
I'm gonna say GW1, City will play 3 attackers (maybe a 4th by pushing Gundo up to be false 9)

Sterling I think is 90% to start unless he somehow has an injury. We know how fit he is, Guardiola knows what he's getting with Sterling maybe more than any other player and can plan accordingly.

Yes, and I expect Gundogan and Mahrez to get also more starts. KdB will need some time to recover and be match fit and this makes Gundogan decent option again. Don't know if having both hi. and Mahrez is overkill, but if they do well against Spurs they could be first bandwagons.
