Brighton v Brentford team news: Toney starts, Henry and Duffy absent

Brighton and Hove Albion v Brentford brings Boxing Day’s Premier League action to a close, with kick-off at the Amex Stadium at 20:00 GMT.

Graham Potter makes four changes from Gameweek 17 with Adam Webster, Adam Lallana, Alexis Mac Allister and Neal Maupay replacing Joel Veltman, Solly March, the suspended Yves Bissouma and Aaron Connelly.

Brighton captain Lewis Dunk misses out with a knee injury that could keep him out until late January, while Shane Duffy is absent from the matchday squad.

As for Brentford, Ivan Toney starts, having made his return as a substitute against Chelsea on Wednesday, with Rico Henry and Vitaly Janelt dropping out with a minor hamstring issue and Covid-19 respectively.

    Anyone else prefer Lloris over De Gea? Only 0.3 more and I’d fancy Spurs under Conte to keep a lot more clean sheets than United. Spurs will be happy to sit back in games helping Lloris with saves. 3 extra fixtures down the line too

        Ramsdale has done me proud but I was looking to sell him in the upcoming weeks before news of a blank this week. Blanks in 25+27 no doubles likely in 21/22 and poor fixtures overall. Have to admit some of his hauls were also very lucky

    Ronaldo and Maupay. One is an elite finisher, the GOAT and worth breaking your structure for to pay 12.5 m. The other is a complete waste of time and Brighton need to get rid and buy a proper striker.

    Ronaldo has a huuuuge 7 goals from 8.37 xg and feeble Maupay has only 6 goals from 5.53 xg (ok it's actually 7 now and xg will be about 5.8)....

    Hi guys, any ideas here? Initial plan was to bring Salah back in for KDB this week, but also would quite like to ditch one of Rudiger/James (probably James).. I've done pretty well today without using my FH, arsenal fixtures off hurts me a bit.

    This game is beyond a farce now…

    Games called off left, right and centre. The skill factor is diminishing by the second, pure luck is taking over.
    You can’t plan for anything, just react to the latest bad news…

    I will continue playing because I’m a veteran player, but as far as I’m concerned the game this season is diminished massively thanks to Covid Omicron BS.

      This is sad. Every season is different, every season needs different strategies.

      It is entirely possible to plan. Now you just have questions about which teams are likely to have cancellations and play the odds on fixtures. Think of it like roulette, it may seem like pure luck but it isnt
