Who are the best FPL captain options for Blank Gameweek 30?

Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers are faced with a much smaller pool of viable captains than usual this weekend.

Blank Gameweek 30 features just four matches and only one team currently in the Premier League’s top five.

Unsurprisingly, Harry Kane (£12.4m) has emerged as the people’s favourite ahead of Sunday’s clash against West Ham United, but Son Heung-min (£10.9m) is an alternative option in the Tottenham Hotspur ranks, while Raul Jimenez (£7.6m) faces off against the division’s worst defence at Molineux.

First, we will assess the fallout of the captain poll, before then analysing the best options, Rate My Team (RMT) and the Premier Fantasy Tools ratings ahead of Friday’s 18:30 GMT deadline.

THE CAPTAIN POLL

As you can see, Harry Kane’s lead in the Fantasy Football Scout captain poll is a hugely significant one.

After producing eight attacking returns in the last four Gameweeks, the Spurs forward has attracted the support of 59.79% of votes.

Son Heung-min, meanwhile, sits in second, having been backed by 13.8% of FPL managers.

Raul Jimenez occupies third place with 4.6%, followed by Philippe Coutinho (£7.5m) and Bukayo Saka (£6.6m) on 4.18% and 3.14% respectively.

      Leicester will rotate heavily as long as we remain in Europe, and Europe is our priority as it offers the best chance to more European football next year.

      Once he is fully match fit he is our #1 CB. To start with he will be rotated a bit I expect. Evans is back in training now too.

      I’m only really thinking about Tielemans for FPL. I wouldn’t rely on many others to start regularly other than Schmeichel.

          He might, but I think his minutes will be managed for a few weeks. If he starts he will be subbed off. It might be Vestergaard and Amartey… it’s very hard to predict tbh.

      I am not convinced by LEI defence bar Pereirra for attacking return. Only upside is to target DGW33 but that's in doubt for Fofana to play both, presumably. In short, no for a hit.

      i'm looking at a leicester defender as can't fit in Barnes or Schemichel. minefield though! Forfana may be best but I think Amartey has done well recently. I will probably go for Justin or Thomas. Justin just played 90mins as did Thomas which suggests they are fairly nailed. Pereria isn't naturally left sided, may take some game time off both but can't see him starting much.

    Considering there are 13 days between the conclusion of the FA Cup quarter final games and the GW31 deadline, how many of the remaining postponed fixtures and potential FA Cup semi final / GW33 clashes would you expect to be rearranged and announced before the GW 31 deadline?

    Do you think it’s viable that we get all the unscheduled games announced before the GW31 deadline so we have a full view of the schedule for the rest of the PL season? (Bar the FA Cup final clash obviously)
