probably in this situation, with Lamptey looking to be fit.

Hit not ideal for defender but can you get in a 28/29 transfer early?

Little bit of a benching headache, how does this look.. G2G? Right bench order and Starting 11? Any moves would be for a -4 and have £2.8m in the bank.

    Areola
    Senesi - Doughty - Gabriel
    Saka (v) - Bailey - KDB - Foden
    Solanke - Watkins - Haaland (c)

    Dubravka - Palmer - Botman - Porro

Some weeks you've just got to accept that your defence isn't going to score many points. This is one of those weeks.
Arsenal defenders aside, you are probably relying on attacking returns from your defenders this week.

That has pretty much been my expectation for some time now, and I was on the all out attack mode with Trippier, Estupiñan, Moreno. But after last week's 0/1/-1 they're all turfed out & I'm looking at a WC full of CBs for the first time (maybe 1 FB, undecided on Bradley/VVD)

I'm FH in 29 so doesn't need to be someone who plays that week.

I've been eyeing up another arsenal asset too. Great future, great form...between Havertz and Martinelli I think. Don't rate Havertz but he's on form. Martinelli is threatening a big haul from what I've seen but he's not the same as last year. As always this year, too many choices!

has there ever been a season like this in terms of big players missing large parts of the season?.just think what kdb , salah trent robbo and erling have missed between them. prem league talking about wanting the best product but they are really just watering down the quality with the schedule. Winter breaks that arent actually breaks doesn't help. injuries happen, part and parcel of the sport but this is abnormal. it cant all just be bad luck.

most competitive title race in years, think quality is good

      1. boc610

a competitve title race doesnt mean the quality is high, its just reduced to a level where more teams can compete for the title. i dont think this is any where close to vintage city or liverpool sides. arsenal have definitely improved but I dont think they would have come close to the seasons where city and pool racking up 200 points between them

    2. JBG
      • 6 Years

They should give the teams even more matches to play, that'll help out with injuries.

Nothing to do with managers having players play 90 minutes every single game and rushing them back from injury prematurely like De Bruyne in the Charity Shield and Salah against Brentford (lol)?

    4. mwa1t
      • 3 Years

Schedule is definitely degrading the top-end quality of the league. Lineups have been all over the place for most teams - Liverpool and City have rarely put out their best elevens it feels like. And teams like Spurs, Villa, Newcastle have been hit hard - they've been doing well but imagine their level if the schedule hadn't been so brutal and they could actually put out a best eleven consistently.

The league has the highest number and quality of managers and players it's ever had but greed is winning over an optimal product for fans

Gordon better fixtures long term I reckon. But he's 2 yellows off a ban...if they bothers you.
gross better form right now and has two good fixtures coming so I guess it it's short term Gross, long term Gordon...but it's close.

I was Set to FH 29 but with todays pressers I have 6 doubts
Robertson, Lascelles, Estupinan, Richarlison, Hwang and Solanke
And it seems best way for me now is WC

    Martinez
    Gabriel, Branthwaite, Robertson*, Estupinan*
    KdB, Foden, Saka
    Solanke*, Watkins, Haaland
    Areola, Hwang*, Richarlison*, Lascelles*

    1 FT, 0.2 ITB

    A) WC
    B) Something else, what?

Holding Solanke transfer till next seems the reasonable move here?

    If yes then 1ft:

    a) Hwang to Son and bench Garnacho (if Darwin fit)
    b) Estu to Saliba and bench Ake
    c) save / else

    Areola (Dub)
    Gabriel Gusto Ake
    Saka Foden Palmer HWANG/SON
    Haaland Watkins Darwin

    Garnacho, Estu, Taylor

I had it all planned, 10 players in gw 29 with just a minus then richarlison gets injured. Crazy bad luck, trent injured before dgw and jota and darwin injured first game og dgw and now richa before blank gw 29

Worth holding Richarlison as need him to play in 29?

means Foden > Son this week, bench richarlison and Porro.
    GW28 - 3 doubles for -4
GW 29 - 10 starters for free and keeping FH

    team this week.
    Dubravka
Van Hecke / Gabriel / Tosin
    Saka / Son / KDB / Lewis-Potter
    Haaland (C) / Watkins / Solanke

    Areola / Doughty / Richarlison / Porro
