Fantasy Premier League (FPL) has gone live for the 2024/25 season – and managers can now set their squads up for the new campaign.

The launch comes after a week of price reveals in which 176 Premier League players were priced up across all 20 top-flight clubs.

We’ll begin rounding up the newly released prices in more articles to come.

LIVE REACTION

WHAT’S NEW IN FPL

Fantasy Premier League (FPL) had previously said there will be “exciting new features” in this season’s game.

On Tuesday, FPL finally announced three major changes: the ability to roll up to five transfers (and keep the saved ones after using a chip), a new Mystery Chip, and minor tweaks to the scoring system/Bonus Points System.

You can read all about them here.

The interface has also been altered, including the welcome move of the chips to an area where they are less likely to be accidentally clicked:

WHAT’S STAYED THE SAME IN FPL

Everything else of note in FPL seems to have remained the same.

Aside from the ‘Mystery Chip’, the other chips are as they were (two Wildcards, one Free Hit, one Bench Boost and one Triple Captain).

The Gameweek deadlines remain at 90 minutes prior to the first kick-off.

Other than goalkeepers getting 10 points for a goal, there are no other direct changes to the scoring system – so no ball recoveries, as some were predicting.

Not nailed. They signed Maatsen and have Moreno as well. Think he will be sold.

Doug Luiz had the lion share of corners, with Digne and McGinn sharing the others
Now that Luiz has moved one of them will step in, plus Tielemans is waiting in the wings (Digne on pens would be something)

FYI... Wildcard / Free Hit / Transfers.

As there were some questions around this yesterday. I confirmed with FPL support who said...

"To clarify, you will not gain a free transfer in a week where a chip is played.

However existing free transfers will roll over to the next game week after a chip has been played, unlike in previous seasons."

"This will only apply to Wildcard and Free Hit, you are correct.

In weeks where the Bench Boost and Triple Captain are played, you will receive a free transfer as usual."

The situation with the Mystery Chip of course remains unclear.

    Hope that helps.

No Haaland, no Salah, no problem?

    Chelsea GK, 4.0
    Robertson, Gvardiol, Burn, Andersen, Tosin
    KDB, Palmer, Eze, Son, Odegaard
Gakpo (assuming Darwin is shelved), Solanke, Joao Pedro

No Haaland, no Salah, but I like the balance:

    Henderson (4m)

Gvardiol Branthwaite Van de Ven (Konsa 4m)

    Palmer Saka Foden Gordon (4.5m)

    Isak Watkins Havertz

Best I've seen without Haaland and Salah.

I have Haaland so my midfield is weaker.

Palmer, Saka, Bruno F and Bowen without Haaland

Wait and see pre-season but don't think Zinch is the one to have from Arsenal. Competition from whichever of Timber, Tomiyasu, Kiwior, Calafiori are there for LB and not sure he'll be moved into midfield.

Califiori is a top-class ball-carrier. Kiwior is done for, but I can't yet tell if Arteta will rotate him with Gabriel or put him on the left.

This is how it will pan out and fair warning even Saliba is not nailed imo

White Saliba RB/RCB with Timber as rotation option
Gabriel Zinchenko LCB/LB with Calafiori as rotation option

Kiwior is leaving. Tomiyasu will be back up for LB/RB

Arteta is very good at getting versatile players but can't win a cup.
