FFS Cup

Fantasy Football Scout Fifth Round Draw

We’re down to the last 32 in our Fantasy Football Scout Cup tournament and can now reveal not only the victors from round four but also the fifth round draw.

As we know, Gameweek 33 was a torrid affair which produced the lowest average score (32 points) of the season so far. It also put paid to one of the two top-ranked managers remaining in the cup.

Leaf – who ranked 55 in the world prior to last weekend – took a four-point hit to record a modest 34 score. He was somewhat unfortunate to come up against ChrisVD who recorded the highest score (57) in the entire fourth round. The latter also spent points on an extra transfer but mustered a hugely impressive tally thanks to a Spurs midfield partnership of Dele Alli – as captain – and Christian Eriksen.

While Leaf toppled out, the other high-flying manager – Always Captain Kun – earned his passage to the fifth round with a 34-30 victory over Le Tigre and maintained a rank of 65th in the world. They must now be considered the early favourite to lift the trophy but must be wary of their next opponent. Norman conquest lies in wait in the last 32 and, while they are placed 46,709 in the world, they are renowned giant killers in this cup having previoulsy eliminated the 48th ranked thisisdiz in round three.

Round four’s lowest ranked manager – TD7242 (699,646) – was unable to maintain their cup run after recording a calamatous 20 points from Gameweek 33. It was a familiar tale of taking a points hit to capture and captain Harry Kane, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang their only player to score more than two points. TD7242 tumbled out to Batmaniac, who scored 33 to claim passage.

That means that jaycar25 is now the big underdog heading into the next round. They are placed 339,188 in the world and will face 2eyedTurk next; they currently place 34,464 in the overall rankings.

The fifth round will be played out over Gameweek 34, which as we know, is a Double Gameweek with many chips in play.

The full fourth round results can be found here, while the fifth round draw in full can be found here.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

That’s a move I’ve been looking at, but Son could’ve easily had two braces in last couple of games. Same with Willian.

Just doing some FFIX projections with some transfers to get out the hole I'm in:

Looks like no hit, no Kane gets me the highest potential score this week:
    Stephens+Aubameyang > Smalling + Vardy

    GW34 projected BB 132pts.

Something to think about, would give me 14 BB players and captain Lukaku. Would need to think of a way to get Kane for TC GW37

    2FT

    A. Auba + Mustafi -> Kane + 4.4
    B. Aubu + Mustafi -> Lukaku + Smalling

Head says B but being a city fan it's gonna be a bit hard to stomach putting those two in, plus I really want Kane

Same issue below really. Kaku and Smalling is a better sounding move, but like everyone, no Kane for doubles is a tricky one. But would you have no Utd attack (with A)?

      1. RealSocialDads
        • 7 Years
        6 years, 18 days ago

Yeah with A I would have no united attack, think Kane will outperform Lukaku anyway and already have DDG in net so leaning towards A due to my city bias haha. Do you think downgrading Gross is a better idea than Mustafi?

Looking at some Gross-out's (no I'm not stuck in an American teen film).

    A) Gross, Mustafi and Auba to Lingard, Kane and Tomkins/Kiko/Masuaku (-4)
    B) Same players to Smalling, Kane and Cook (-4)
    C) Same players to Cedric, Kane and Mili (-4)

Basically everything is compared to my original plan, Kane in 36, and go with Kaku and Smalling for free.

Own him but not getting him for my FH team which I'm using now. That means he's guarenteed a haul.

never a non-option, but not getting points atm, depends who your other options are for sacrifice, could backfire

What would you do with the present lot?? All chips available..planned on playing BB

    1 FT 1.9 itb

    DDG Ryan
    Alonso Smalling Chilwell Mariappa* Lejeune*
    Mahrez Albrighton Alli Willian Ibe
    Murray Auba* Kane

    Triple captain choices...

    DDG (2cs)
    Alonso (1cs + 1g)
    Willian (1g + 2a)
    Mahrez (2g + 1a)
    Sanchez ( 2g + 2a)
Kane (no goals but will claim 3 hatricks)

or use it in 35 when scores are likely to be low(er)

Some balls you got dangling around if you TC a Chelsea player!

The Alonso goal has been so close in the last couple of gws and arguably the one he had against spurs was on the line for offside.
One CS would be worth 18pts which I'd be content with.

And one Sanchez goal would be like 30?

If you're looking for CS's go TC DDG or Valencia

had him for most of season, but he seems to have dried up and BRI have tough tough fixtures, i sold him couple of weeks ago, but if i still had him would probably hold for this dgw and see how things go

Yes. Don't see any better option in that price bracket.
