Watford have been the surprise package in the Premier League this season, level on points with table-topping Liverpool and causing Fantasy managers to investigate their assets.
The Hornets have won all of their matches so far and have held onto their 100% record longer than defending champions Manchester City.
Their most recent result was the most impressive of the lot, a 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur at Vicarage Road in Gameweek 4.
Lose or even draw with Spurs and very few would have batted an eyelid. But emerging from that match as come-from-behind winners put Watford decisively in the spotlight.
Fantasy managers the world over have been asking whether Javi Gracia’s in-form side can sustain their impressive displays.
It’s a vitally important question as many consider their Wildcard squads. Overlook the Hornets in the event that they go on to do great things this season and you could be left behind. Alternatively, overinvest when they are but a flash in the pan and the same could happen.
We’ve gone over the data for the first four matches of the season to see just how serious we should take the Hornets’ buzz.
