Fixtures

Which FPL players are on international duty ahead of Double Gameweek 32?

A week of international fixtures gets underway today, with Germany and Wales among the countries in action this evening.

This is the final international break of 2018/19 and falls before the biggest Double Gameweek of the season, so there will be a nervy wait for Fantasy managers as we keep our fingers crossed for an injury-free seven days.

This article gives a club-by-club rundown on which assets will be away from their sides during this period, also detailing the dates in which these players will be competing for their respective countries.

There are several high-profile names missing from this list, of course.

Mohamed Salah (£13.3m) won’t be linking up with Egypt, while Aymeric Laporte (£5.9m) and Sergio Aguero (£11.8m) will not be representing their respective countries either.

Alexandre Lacazette (£9.4m) was omitted from the France national squad, while Gonzalo Higuain (£9.6m), like Aguero, wasn’t selected by Argentina head coach Lionel Scaloni.

Marcos Alonso (£6.4m), Cesar Azpilicueta (£6.3m) and Jonny (£4.3m) won’t feature for Spain, meanwhile.

There are a cluster of players whose countries are scheduled to be in action in the early hours of Wednesday March 27 who then face a long-haul flight back from the Americas: Tim Ream (£4.2m), Antonio Valencia (£6.4m), DeAndre Yedlin (£4.5m), Miguel Almiron (£6.0m), Fabian Balbuena (£4.2m), Javier Hernandez (£6.1m) and Raul Jimenez (£6.8m).

It may be, however, that some of those players have been the subject of agreements between club and country to return to the UK before their respective nations’ second fixture over the international break, as has been the case before.

The good news for owners of Argentina and Brazil assets is that those two countries aren’t playing their two international friendlies in South America, although Argentina travel to Morocco on Tuesday.

Sadio Mane (£10.0m) is amongst the popular Fantasy options in action in Africa on Tuesday, while Son Heung-min (£8.6m) will be heading over to Asia for a double-header with South Korea – the second fixture being contested on Tuesday morning (UK time).

    My latest draw!

    Ederson
    Duffy - Schlupp - Lindelof
    Hazard - Pogba - Son - Sterling
    Hazard - Lukaku - Jiminez

    (fodder)

    What do you think?
I'm willing to risk Jiminez being rotated. Lukaku will only be in if he is fit.

Aguero on top instead of Hazard.

      Fail in top post....

I'm really not sure about Son. He's not in form and Spurs don't have a particularly good double.

Neither am I. Just betting on Mili/deulofeu, you think that is a better option?

      I like the Doherty pick.

Doherty in for attacking returns, ideally would stretch for Ederson but can’t afford

I’m not sure about Doherty. Got him cheap and always planned to keep him, but now thinking he could be rested for the Burnley game. I’m tempted to switch to Jonny (not on international duty) or another team.

What do we think of Martial? Want to triple up on United and City attack on FH and Lukaku is too difficult to squeeze in!

He'll play, but I expect rotation from OGS. Rashford could easily play on the left flank, Lukaku in the middle, and Lingard/Mata on the right flank.

Not disagreeing- but why would we expect rotation from OGS? They have a full week before CL match. I guess it's still a short turnaround between these two PL games.

"... but I expect rotation from OGS ...". IB > WAT > 2 days rest wol > 7 days rest > BAR = highly unlikely.

He was awful against Wolves but everyone was, I think he's only played well against Cardiff and Fulham under Ole, actually been a bit disappointed with him. He seems to be playing very wide, really hugging the left touchline.

Although do we expect clean sheets in these games for UTD? I'm not very confident- atm I have double CHE and CPL so not really got room for a defender... just trying to be different to make up some ground on those ahead of me

Got to admit very tempted by the triple up team!?

Has to Mili over Deulofeu, his minutes are a major concern. Think I'll go Duffy over Schlupp too actually. Higuain the big risk I guess?

    Deulofeu or Deeney and why?

    1. Zladan

Given there are only 3 striker spots, I’d say Deulo.

      Aguero
      Kane
      Higuain
      Rashford
      Zaha

Probably all come above Deeney in terms of prio.

Dont have the funds or spots for 3 of them, so that aside, still Deulofeu?

Yes, hopefully it’s enough. Definitely wouldn’t expect 180 out of him.

Big differential for his price. Seems to be the only way I can accommodate Kane Haz Sterling Kun + City United Chelsea defence.

Here it is - THE team to have:

    Kepa
    Luiz - Young - Laporte
    Sterling (C) - Haz - Pogba - Mili
    Aguero - Rashford - Bats

    Any thoughts?

Best 6m or under midfielder for this DGW?

Currently got Deuloufeu but he's away at United, and then might be rested for the other game...

    Thoughts on this latest draft:

    Luiz Lindy AWB
    Sterling Pogba Milo Hazard
    Kane Kun Jimmy

I’d say Rashford is the United asset to own if Lukaku is out.

      Otherwise very solid.

Ederson Luiz Jimmy to Kepa Laporte Rashford probably isn’t quite enough £?

Denney is interesting- on RMT has higher points prediction than Rashford, Lukaku and Zaha/Bats. It all depends if he has that Fulham game, which is the midweek game which I doubt
