The fixture schedules for the “big six” Premier League teams

Fantasy managers will now be planning for the final two Double Gameweeks of the season after a tricky period either side of the international break.

Two Blank Gameweeks and one Double Gameweek have already been navigated and now just five Gameweeks of the season remain, including a double-header for Brighton and Cardiff next week and then a bumper Gameweek 35.

Wildcard or not, FPL bosses will be loading their squads with players with “extra” matches over the next fortnight as well as looking at those assets with the most appealing fixtures in the season run-in once the Double Gameweeks are concluded.

Players from the “big six” will no doubt be dominating our thoughts again: four of those half-dozen clubs have two matches in Gameweek 35, while Liverpool enjoy meetings with Cardiff City and Huddersfield Town before the end of April.

With that in mind, we thought it was worth a look at the schedule for the “big six” clubs over the next month or so, given that all of these teams are still involved in European competition.

Rotation has to be a concern with all six of these sides competing on two fronts, although it will be difficult, for example, to imagine Jurgen Klopp making wholesale changes to his Liverpool side against Cardiff and Huddersfield with the league title on the line.

Below is a club-by-club itinerary for the remaining games of 2018/19.

The fixtures in italics are UEFA Champions League/Europa League ties and we have also included the dates for the next stages of these competitions, in case the teams below progress.

Some of the Premier League games around those semi-finals could be moved back/forward a day if some of the clubs in question advance.

Is anyone on a wildcard keeper set up of lloris and Ryan?

It looks nice to me - but what puts me off is that it presumably it means benching lloris v hudds next weekend and starting Ryan who plays x 2 ....

Very tempted by this. But I don’t think benching Lloris is so terrible v Hudds. 6 points tops versus Ryan playing twice with saves and clean sheet potential.

Anyone on a GW34 WC and currently with Vardy in their team planning to hold Vardy for GW34 and then move to template (i.e. Laca) in GW35?

Can't shake the feeling that Vardy at home to Newcastle will outscore Laca away to Watford...

Here are some thoughts about the DGWs 34 & 35 and the GW36. I'd like to talk about Spurs first. We're all looking to own two or three of their assets, and Kane looks like the primary one. His record against non top 6 sides is pretty amazing (13 goals, 5 assists and 21 bonus points in 18 games), and he'll play three of those in the next three gameweeks. Plus he's nailed as it can be, which makes him a very decent captain option for DGW35, even with City on the equation. But it's GW34 that appeals me the most, where he could be almost essential, since there are no stand out options for the captaincy when he plays Huddersfield at home, a team already relegated who just conceded 4 goals to Leicester and shipped 10 goals in their last three Premier Leage outings. But for those finding him too expensive, especially if Aguero returns from his injury and is announced fit, I guess there is a case for ignoring him. After all, he hasn't got a double digit haul since GW21 (even though he missed 4 games during this time due to an injury), which could put some people off for the captaincy, and then why owning a 12.5 player if you're not captaining him ?

Onto the midfield now. Loads of options around the same price and even a potential cheaper punt. To me Eriksen is the better one. He's a bit more expensive (9.2) but paying extra money to get a more nailed player around that time of the year seems okay. He hasn't got an amazing season, FPL wise, but could still get close to the 200 pts mark by the end of it. When I look at the fixtures and the underlying stats he's putting lately, I feel there are some returns along the way. Ideally I'd go for Son, who is almost the better prospect in this Spurs team. But he's not nailed enough for me, especially because I guess Poch will use him against City in the UCL, and then rest him against Huddersfield. Then use him again against City in the BPL and rest him a few days later when Spurs hosts Brighton. So I checked how well he's doing when playing less than 70 minutes in a game this season, and wasn't happy with the result (1 assist in 7 games). So the idea that he could play reduced minutes against Huddersfield and Brighton and still do the damage anyway is very unlikely. But one thing we have to wait for is, obviously, the midweek teamsheet. If somehow Son doesn't start this game, then he suddenly become a great FPL option for the next three. Alli to me is a no-go. I got him as a punt/differential in my FH32 and won't make the mistake again. He's playing too deep imo. He could still get goals because he has this ability to get shots from nowhere, but in comparison to the other assets already he doesn't stand the distance to me. I'd even prefer to own Lucas Moura in my team, at only 6.7, he could be a good punt for those chasing or needing cash elsewhere (if some are doubling up on Kane+Aguero for example). But his appeal depends on Son minutes in the UCL, so pay attention to that.

In the back potential for clean sheets is there, personally I don't like that much their defenders, except maybe Trippier. Lloris I don't like either, too expensive for a keeper slot. So if you really want to triple up on Spurs, I guess Trippier is the go-to guy, for my team I think I'll turn to other options, since I don't want to spend 6.0 on a defender this late on the season (I think my most expensive def in my WC team will be TAA).

I recall from last season Doucoure is one of those players that seems to score off very few chance, like Vardy, and he goes on good little runs but then it all dries up as he gets moved to a more defensive role ... I prefer and out and out attacker in the style of Deulofeu and would make the funds available for my Option C ... which I am pretty sure will be part of my team 🙂

Not too many straight replacements for him in the Spurs team and pretty integral to how they play. Good fixtures generally and less chance of rotation compared to City alternatives

I reckon he is up there with Lloris, the center backs and Kane as being the first group of names Poch scribbles on the team sheet

On WC and will BB next GW, this is my draft currently:

    Leno - Foster
    Duffy - Kola - Mendy - Val - TAA
    Jota - camasara - sterling - Mane -
    Doucoure
    Jimenez - Laca - Kane

    0.6 itb

My plan is to swap camasara for jwp in gw 35.

Do you reckon there's too many rotation risks among the team or any other weak links? Cheers!

A makes most sense, B is punty but has a high ceiling. KDB seems to be hitting form so there's that to consider.

Emery is difficult to predict. One bad half for Laca & Auba becomes first choice.

Why does he do that ?
      😀

Yep, normally I should be happy as I have Lacazette out of the two, but I would be much happier if they were both nailed on starters most of the time.

Probably been asked a few times, but want to hold one LIV defender on WC. TAA is not 100% nailed right? Want to save £££ over keeping Robbo.

There are more players who can play in his position than VVD/Robbo.

Yeah true, see it as unlikely Gomez/Milner get a run, but there's a chance so bit of a tough one.

More likely to miss one game rather the others get a run as a first choice.

I have both TAA and Robbo and will only keep one in my WC. I really like what I can do with the 1.5m that TAA over Robbo offers but as you say, I don't see Robbo missing a single game whereas TAA will probably miss at least one... Tough choice I haven't made my mind yet. I think if you can field a team with Robbo you're happy with, favour that option

Trent played 59 minutes & still outscored the higher value Robbo.

Thats a once in blue coincidence. He was mayB the culprit for losing the CS.

With his continuois back prob and with Joe back, he may be prone to rotation.
