FFS Cup

The FFS Cup final is all set for Gameweek 37

Our second FFS Cup competition of the season reaches its climax this weekend.

Our final will be a battle between two managers who lurk just outside the top 1,000 in Fantasy Premier League.

Rotation’s Alter Ego and LOKOMOTIV both prevailed in their respective semi-finals to set up a showdown between the pair in Gameweek 37.

Losing semi-finalists Skogen89 and Ibra-gum will now contest the third-place play-off this weekend.

Rotation’s Alter Ego broke the 100-point barrier for the second Gameweek in a row and for the third time in five Gameweeks.

He was one of three semi-finalists – including opponent Skogen89 – to use the Triple Captain chip on Sadio Mane, who returned 13 points in Liverpool’s 5-0 demolition of Huddersfield Town on Friday.

Skogen89 was unfortunate to be eliminated as his score of 87 would have been enough to win the other semi-final.

LOKOMOTIV ran out the winner in that last-four encounter, with opponent Ibra-gum the only manager not to have their Triple Captain chip intact and indeed handing the armband to Son Heung-min, who blanked against West Ham.

The semi-final results were as follows:

NameScoreRankNameScoreRank
Skogen898719320vsRotation’s Alter Ego1031280
Ibra-gum61147195vsLOKOMOTIV841859

As of the Gameweek 36 deadline, LOKOMOTIV and Rotation’s Alter Ego shared only six players: Hugo Lloris, Son Heung-min, Sadio Mane, Raheem Sterling, Sergio Aguero and Raul Jimenez.

There is plenty of overlap in terms of team representation, though: LOKOMOTIV owns Trent Alexander-Arnold, Mathew Ryan, Yan Valery, Matt Doherty, Maya Yoshida and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg where Rotation’s Alter Ego has Andrew Robertson, Shane Duffy, Jan Bednarek, Willy Boly, Angus Gunn and Nathan Redmond.

Rotation’s Alter Ego’s main “differentials” are Wilfried Zaha, Diogo Jota and Aymeric Laporte, with LOKOMOTIV owning Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Abdoulaye Doucoure and Sead Kolasinac.

Neither manager has made any transfers yet (at the time of writing), nor do they have any chips remaining.

Ibra-gum and Skogen89 shared nine players in Gameweek 36 and again, neither manager has any chips remaining heading into their third-place play-off.

Hey guys, would love some input!

Currently chasing a 70pt lead in my company mini league and we've both used up all our chips.

Which of these are worth considering?

    a) Mane > Hazard
    b) Son > Pogba
    c) Mane + Son > Hazard + Pogba (-4)
    d) Son + Gray > Pogba + Zaha (-4)

Or any other suggestions? My rival and I share - Sterling, Jimenez and Laporte. He also doesn't have any mentioned above..

Tbh, don't think you can catch up to a 70 point in 2 weeks unless things go really well for you and really bad for him.

That being said - I would go with (a)

Yeah, I'm aware it's a bit of a stretch, so I'm open to taking a huge risk as the reward for 1st is significantly higher.

One of those decisions you have to make on your own since it can go either way 😮

      Both havent performed well recently.

      Personally, I would keep Son

        Cheers Holmes.
Knowing Pogba, he'd love to end the season on high by smashing the Hudds & Cardiff teams. Son looks really burnt out tbh. Plays very wide.

It's like he was a fearful pick from myself on WC (shield 😛 )

I'm doing Mane to Hazard & definitely thinking about Son to Pogba atm.
Will wait for more information 🙂

Tricky one, if Pogba had any shape of form you'd have to favour him, I guess both players are fairly sure starters for the last 2 gwks, both teams going for top 4 with everything to play for... Just think that with Spurs distracted by the CL Pogba is a better bet over the final 2 gwks but the - 4 is slightly off-putting.

      1. Amey
        • 5 Years

Pogba should fire in last two gw's 😮
Nearly every team playing Hudds gets their talisman to haul like Salah, Vardy, Deulofeu recently.
        So ....

The more I think about it this week the more I'm tempted to transfer him in... We all know what he is capable of as he showed when Ole first stepped into the manager role... The opposition in last two games are bankers to conceed goals!

A1 or B2 is the decision... City are equally capable of scoring big at home against better opposition than away to weaker teams. I'm personally on TC Kun this week but it's due to facing ml rival who is FH this gwk and just 2 point lead in h2h.

So like a number of people I an stuck with RYAN & FOSTER... I am chasing a gap of 14 points. Is it worth taking a hit for a keeper change and if so who ?
    TIA

Probably not, you are relying on two CS to gain any points and that is minimal

I do get that but DDG or Ederson are capable of keeping 2 CS

If you have the cash, but the maximum you can get is 12pts, because there will be few shots on target. With Foster you could get 8pts plus saves / bonus

Hazard could be a good differential gamble. I'd do it.

Thanks mate... so Eriksen + Doucoure to Hazard + 4.2 mid bench fodder?

I would definitely get Hazard in your shoes - a differential with a realistic chance of a good score. (even though he's a bit of personal troll for me). Watford will have one eye on the FA Cup - none of them will want to get injured. How much have you ITB? Who to take out .... probably Eriksen, but I don't see Mane scoring heavily either, against new or WOL

That looks ok. It'll give you every chance of making ground on them. Just hold on until after Chelsea's game tomorrow tho. Just in case of injury etc. You could even double down on your gamble and make him captain too!

Aguero appears to be the preferred capt choice this week but for me all stats point to Sterling. What in particular makes Aguero more popular for Leicester at home?

      Aguero: home form, golden boot.

Same could be said for Sterling?

golden boot is a little too far away from Sterling imho. Aguero has a slight edge at home, 15/20 goals@home.

    Can't decide! Currently have Dunk

    A) Shaw, Firmino, Sterling
    B) Shaw, Firmino, Hazard -4
    C) Dunk, Hazard, Sterling -4

Two questions - thank you for help! 🙂

    1) Salah ->
    A) Sterling
    B) Hazard
    C) Keep Salah

    2) Play
    A) JWP (West Ham away)
    B) Deulofeu (Chelsea away)

      1 = A (if no hit) otherwise C.
      2 = A

West Ham is around the 4th worst at conceding from set pieces, I'd play JWP for now.. unless Chelsea capitulate today.

I'd keep Salah unless you don't have Aguero.
