FPL Gameweek 38 – an analysis of the key underlying stats

The 2018/19 season comes to a conclusion this Sunday, with all 20 Premier League clubs kicking off simultaneously at 15:00 BST.

Gameweek 38 represents the final chance to claw back a mini-league deficit or improve an overall rank for those Fantasy managers who are struggling.

For the front-runners amongst us, there may be more ‘defensive’ strategies employed as impressive ranks and mini-league leads are consolidated.

Ahead of this weekend’s later-than-usual deadline, we take a look at the data available to subscribers in our Members’ area and present the eye-catching statistics that could influence Fantasy managers’ decisions and transfers whatever the approach.

We’ve run down the stand-out stats in every position, as well as looking at the strengths and weaknesses of various teams to assess which Fantasy Premier League assets could have a profitable Gameweek 38.

      Defence looks pretty much fine, other than not sure on trippier. Forward line looks alright though rashford off form (good fixture though) and Jimenez possibly toughest fixture of the season (that said I’m playing him). Obviously son out but depends whether you fancy the likes of BSilva?

      Dunno tbh. Had him and wasn’t gonna sell before hud CAR. Cardiff leaking goals a bit though and are down and out, Pogba and United will probably play a bit better at final home game of the season and Pogba could honestly have had a brace (hit bar twice) v HUD so

    Hi.
    I am in a league where we have a monthly payout for the highest amount of opts incurred every calender month. So last gw i scored 38pts but i also took a -4. On the monthly score for May, it says my score is 38pts. Does anyone know why this is ? Should be 34pts surely. Thank a lot

      even though I had the money to get Rashford, I went Arnie instead. I cant any way trust my own team atm unfortunately! Rash looked really out of sorts in recent games, Pogba is the best option of a horrible bunch of MUN assets
