Scoutcast discuss Aguero rotation and budget defences

The Scoutcast is back once again to cover the key discussion topics ahead of Gameweek 11.

David will be joined by Az and current FFS Mods and Cons joint-leader Andy Goddard this week.

The show will run from 20:00 GMT until 21:00 GMT. You can watch it on our YouTube channel.

Up first, the Scoutcast crew will reflect on a Gameweek 10 fraught with contrasting emotions.

Andy did exceptionally well – David and Az did not.

Then, moving forward into Gameweek 11, we will tackle the Manchester City rotation debate, how seriously to take Leicester’s recent form and whether budget defences are coming back into fashion once again.

          Not a bad pick but not great value. Other options at 6-6.5 can score similar points. Or upwards to likes of Martial for more attacking threat in the box rather than outside

      Too risky. Could be up 3-0 like the weekend with little goal involvement and hauled off early for a rest. Would rather put it on a nailed player (eg Salah) during their double GW. Last year the TC on City was a disaster due to rotation but I think the Egyptian would play both fixtures

      Love this. Also because Mendy is rested, v important for Sterling cutting inside. He should have had 2 assists against Villa too, and got 3 goals + 2 assists in the previous game against Atalanta. Silva finds his runs really well too and he’s also rested.

      Weirdly, the thing that puts me off is probably a bit stupid - that everyone is almost certain to captain sterling this week. So I’m not very excited about captaining him

        I had a long reply, then deleted it. At work so can't really pull out stats and details easily, but what's the risk/reward ratio here? You captain someone like Mount, like KdB even, and how do you feel they fare compared to Sterling? The podcast talks of picking captains based on fixtures over stats (which is why I had Vardy picked vs Newkie BOOM!). There can be no other match to look at this coming GW than a relegation candidate away to the defending champions... especially after that 0-9 shellacking.

        If we accept that this match *might* provide the best chance for a big haul then you need to look at candidates within the squad. Aguero and Jesus just played 90. Is this an effort to build stamina? Or will Pep blood one of the kids on Saturday at No.9? Or will Sterling play at 9 and just run riot?

      Someone in my ML brought Vardy in for Kane and TC'ed. Worked out well!

      I TC'ed Salah last year in this exact same fixture vs the whipping boys AKA Fulham FC at the time. It was only 2-0 and Salah returned 8 points. It was a return at least and more than some people's 1/2 pointers returned on the DGW. I posted this as a 'Smooth' and got questioned about it on the Scoutcast! It turned out smoother than many TC'ers managed but nothing like the holy grail of nailing a 20 pointer!I

      I have to say it is nice not to have to think about deploying all three chips in the last few weeks. If I had Sterling if be inclined to have a punt, I'm not sure KdB is worth it though? Two games in a week is a worry too.
