Diaz > Dango for a hit?

    OR put another way
    Diaz, 5pts in 2Games + a hit = 9pts.
Can Dango get 9points vs Southampton?

Hit post too early. It also enables AM chip on Slot.

      Villa more ravaged than Liverpool.

    Looking for some opinions...

I want to get Kluivert in for Amad. But then I will have to bench Robinson (who plays vs Wood in my team). Should I do it or save? 1ft 1.7itb

    Pickford
    Gabriel TAA Huijsen Robinson
    Salah Palmer Rogers
    Isak Wood Mateta
    Fab Amad Dibling Hall

Hmm, limited options at 6.2; maybe just stick with Ndiaye? Alternatives would be Raul / Pedro who also have decent fixtures and play in BGW29. Both feel a bit like-for-like though.

Nkunku may not be the go-to Jackson replacement

    Enzo Maresca:

"Christo could be one of the solutions, but he's not the only solution. I consider Christo a very important player since we start. When you don't have a proper 9, you have to change not only the 9 and the way you want to play."

"Pedro [Neto], Noni [Madueke] or even Tyrique [George], they can try and be a solution for us. Jadon with a different kind of skills. When you don't have a proper nine, you need to use a different kind of nine but you need to change the way you play. We will find a solution"

Lol didn't Maresca go out after the January transfer window and say something like, "we really wanted to keep Nkunku here and now he will get more playing time"

And now that there's a great opportunity for Nkunku to get playing time he dismisses it. Funny manager

Current setup doesn't suit Nkunku as the CF. He can still get game time, just not as the CF.

      AM - GW25
      WC - 30/31
      BB - 33/36
FH - 33/36 (depends on FA Cup results)

    Some transfer thoughts:

Probably have to play 451 this GW if I don't buy Watkins.

I'll give Watkins a miss if there's any doubt with no FH29 in mind.

I will keep TAA based on 40 mins including ET yesterday. I'm hoping he starts both games but early sub 60-70 mins.

Bruno is an issue. Ticks most FPL boxes but too expensive for a player that quite often plays deep and the team is inconsistent. I will likely double up on Bournemouth mids before 29, just need to decide which one first. Kluivert (pens) v Dango (OOP mid).

    - Save FT (probably unlikely)
    - Bruno to Dango/Kluivert (luxury transfer with no FH29 in mind?)
    - Bruno and Pedro/Ndiaye to Dango and Watkins (lose a player for 29)

    AM24 Slot
    (WC/FH/BB/TC left)
    2FT 0.4ITB

    Gabriel TAA Munoz Robinson

I wouldn't be put off playing 4-5-1 this week. You have a very attacking back four.

Prefer the Bruno to Kluivert move personally. It might make sense to skip Watkins, roll a transfer, and then bring in Cunha for Pedro/Ndiaye later.

      1. Tonyawesome69

Agreed on the 451 setup with Pedro not nailed to start and Ndiaye injury.

I think I'm leaning towards Kluivert as well. He is playing quite close to Dango with the heat maps and average position I've seen.

While Bruno is a bit uninspiring at the moment, their fixtures are good and he's on pens. That said, if Dango/Kluivert do a number on Southampton, it will hurt, so I'd go B.

Last Man Standing Update (314 teams)

Top score = Saubarna Deep with 158

Safety score is in the 108-112 range I'm guessing, and I need to manually work out hits as the LMS leaderboard is down.

Should have the safety score later today.

Do you expect a B'mouth CS?
Kluivert is the popular pick so it's more about which one you really want.
The B'mouth defender could be a big difference though.

I'm a Timber owner with no Gabriel and I'd sell Timber before Gabriel. Ben White is soon back and although I think Timber would be first choice on the left, his minutes will be a concern going forward.
B for me, but if you go C get Huijsen over Zabarnyi. He has more attacking threat.

Morning all. Usually it works to our advantage in FPL when players are OOP, but with all the Bou prospects being mids, I feel like my midfield is full - may just have to wait it out this time (would switch Rogers to one of them in GW26, but might be leaving it late to get on board). Stubbornly holding Diaz for now...
Any thoughts on getting Bournemouth attackers into the team below? On AM Emery & 0FT, so would be for a hit.

    Sels
    TAA Kerkez Robinson
    Salah Diaz Palmer Mbeumo Rogers
    Isak Wissa

I think it's better than last season.

Albeit home advantage for goals has been eroded behind trend this season.

I guess COVID season was poor with less home advantage and more goals conceded too?

Feels like the worst... or at least no consistent teams you can rely on for CSs. Like Arse, Pool and City like past seasons

I think that last bit is the key. There are more cleans overall but last year Arsenal had nearly all of them and now they're just an okay defence relative to the rest of the league because of their injury issues.

It's neck & neck in terms of points and form. Having had Sels since early on, it's locked in my head that he gets loads of save points. This week I'd lean Sels, as Fulham aren't the most threatening attack vs. the surprising recent form of Mateta. I should declare the not-so-unconscious bias here is that I only have Sels and have big Pickford FOMO! Good luck!

          Play TC Salah for gw25.

AM can be played in gw30.

As in only AM chip left? If so, look post GW30 for another opportunity

Last week (unless you played TC). But otherwise, probably now.

Assuming you have a FT to spare, would you move Pickford? Kepa is kinda tempting with these fixtures.

Only if it really was spare

I mean sure, if you really don't need the FT

If I don't move TAA/Gakpo to accommodate AM Slot, I could do Sarr to Bou mid and Pickford to Kepa for free - tho question is, would you rather have Kepa or keep that spot for Kerkez? Most likely going for double Bou mids next week

I'm not keen unless you have 3+ FT's and no other Bou defence, otherwise it blocks you from a potential double-up on Dango and Kluivert later.

In my case it would be Kerkez vs Kepa in addition to two mids

Sounds reasonable then if you have a FT to spare.

    Right to bench Wood here?

    Sels
    TAA Gabriel Kerkez
    Salah Palmer Mbuemo Rogers Kluivert
    Isak Gakpo

    Muric Wood Myko Hall

Asking for trouble IMO. Personally I'm not convinced by any Villa players, even if they have a double.

        (and therefore I'd bench Rogers)

Why? I don't understand the confidence in Villa this week. They are plagued with injuries, Rogers not in great form in PL and Pool is not a good fixture for them.

              Villa are decent at home.

They play Ipswich who are awful atm.

              Liverpool ship goals away

Rogers has a recent hat trick at home too.

Rogers has scored in 3 of last 5 home games in the prem.

              Any more?!

Feel like most of those are out-of-context for Villa's current injuries, form and when Rogers scores.

Villa haven't been great at home, and they aren't high scoring especially in recent fixtures

Although Ipswich might be bad, I still don't know why you'd go for Rogers for a single match over an in-form player, especially one coming off a hattie. He's not even in form - his hattie came in a non PL game. He has not been returning in PL for ages.

Liverpool concede but Villa's attack is going to be poor with injuries.

I don't believe stats that date back to two months ago represent current form or likelihood to score.

To me none of this is convincing when you're benching a consistent deliverer of goals for him.

      I think I'm selling still.

Maybe Jota comes to the fore, Diaz had been pretty ineffective recently.

He might be better in the sense he's not really a 9 and if Darwin or Jota plays that could help his output if he's back on the wing. In terms of his minutes, he's had close to 90 for 3 games running and blanked. In fact he's not delivered an attacking return since GW19. I suspect we're just seeing the same Luis Diaz we've seen most years since he's been in England and he's not actually that good.

Afternoon. Anyone playing the Manager chip this week on Slot? I hit TC on Salah last week, so no regrets but next few weeks for slot even with city look tasty?

I've just got to weigh up the relative damage to Liverpool, but I'm thinking Slot for the double in gw25 then another transfer for gw26.

Both got same number of games
      One has dgw then blank
      One no dgw, no blank
Unless you want Roger’s this week, move to kluivert next week?
