Fast forwarding to GW26 I'm likely to use my FT to switch Slot to another manager. Should I therefore just take a -4 this week to get rid of Gordon & Sarr as I prepare for BGW29? Feels like I'll be taking a -4 in 25 or 26 in any case.

    Slot
    Pickford
    Gabriel - TAA - Munoz - Milenkovic
    Salah - Palmer - Gordon
    Isak - Wood - Wissa

    Dubravka - Amad - Sarr - O'Shea

Dont think theres a drastic need to hit. Just do Gordon or Sarr out. You still have time to prepare for BGW29.

If you're not going to Mbeumo now I wouldn't bother at all. He's great but their good fixtures end 26/27. And the first two of them are on the road anyway which they've struggled more with.

forget the end of game stuff and the reds that you can explain to some extent.

The officiating during the game was so poor and inconsistent. I used to always consider him a level above the others in England but hes really dropped off these last couple years. Makes far too many errors now.

Yes, he was. Could've given Bradley a 2nd YC as well and no one would've blamed him.
I might be biased, but I think it was a foul on Konate at the last goal. Maybe that's more down to VAR.

Hall to Huijsen is a reasonable move, right?
I bought Hall at 4.3, so I'll lose some value, but it's unlikely I will need him before the blank.

I know its a lot of ifs but if…

    - Villa win against Ipswich and Liverpool
    - Bournemouth beat Southampton
    - Newcastle lose to Man City

Does that make Newcastle at home to Forest an Assistant Manager position bonus game for Eddie Howe?

Would be ideal for managers doing Moyes -> Emery -> Howe…

Unlikely yes… but you’d expect all but the Villa beating Liverpool to happen. Also not completely unrealistic to think that Villa might snatch a win at Villa Park against a tiring Liverpool team with a backlog of fixtures and one eye on the Etihad that weekend…

awkwardly twisted his right ankle at the 62nd minute. clearly uncomfortable and gimpy after that for the next 6 minutes before he was subbed. I rewatched it countless times. gets a cross field lob and from a standing position tries to make a move. right ankle gets caught underneath him as he tries to cut. immediatly goes down signaling to the sidelines. non contact injury. play continued but he was clearly injured. and then yes, he hopped off the field on one foot. right ankle sprain

Yeah I know what you are saying but BOU mid are a priority right now especially as they face SOU next....also, the fact that Gordon blanks in 29 and the fixtures leading up to it aren't the best, it's the right time to sell Gordon.

Thinking of getting Cunha this week. I know it's really early, Liverpool likely to concede at anfield imo. Can still do Amad to Saka and Konate to Agado-do-do when Saka is back.

    1. Tommy Template

He might be where I end up for Havertz. It'll be Watkins if there's any positive news but in the absence of that I had Cunha planned in a couple of weeks anyway so may as well go early. I think Wolves attack is one of those the models and Review probably underrate quite a bit. Their underlyings are crap but Cunha just scores goals that defy XG, its what he does.

TC went well.. All other chips intact, and could really use some advice.
86 points behind my rival (he played AM Moyes), so the chip timing will make or break me. 1 FT and 0.4 ITB.

    Alisson
    Gabriel Myko TAA
    Salah Mbeumo Palmer Semenyo Eze
    Isak Wood

    Valdi Hall Greaves Ndiaye

    A) Roll and play AM later on
    B) Isak -> Watkins, would force no chip
    C) Eze -> Outtara, play AM Emery
    D) Sort out defensive issues and take -4: Hall/Eze -> Kerkez/Outtara, play AM Emery

Quite chaotic period, so very open to other views 🙂

If you are chasing, I would advice playing AM now....target table bonus with Emery now and maybe Ange or Pereira in 27....Spurs/ Wolves can easily beat MCI and FUL on their day and they both play at home
You don't know what you will get in 36 and you might be playing it on managers who you don't actually want to

Tricky one to manage GW29. I have 3 Pool and 2 Palace, both of which have good fixtures in the run up to GW 29 but also favorable fixtures directly after GW30.

Siting with a FH, AM, BB, WC and 60 points ahead in my ML. Just do a FH and stop over thinking it?

I wonder what the rationale was behind the rule that managers wouldn't face suspension/deductions from red cards with the AM chip. Managerial reds are rare (even rarer than I thought, having just Googled it), and Slot's red would have added some further drama to the week, which is always welcome.
It would've made the chip consistent with others - or was making managers immune the point; to differentiate it entirely from the other chips?

3 FT's this week with Martinelli injured. Next week Areola plays Arsenal, I'm thinking there might be some value in bringing in Martinez this week and Ramsey/Tielemans for Martinelli and going triple up for the DGW? Will leave me 2 FT's next week to move Slot to Arteta and roll the second FT...? Or could bench Martinelli and start Robinson..?

    AREOLA
    Gabriel Gvardiol Virgil
    Salah(c) Palmer Mbuemo MARTINELLI Rogers
    Isak Beto

    Fab Ndiaye Robinson Greaves

Need to transfer out Gordon to accommodate AM switch to Emery.

    Best option going forward?

    a) Kluivert
    b) Dango
    c) Trossard
    d) Nkunku
    e) Nwaneri

    Which option is best.

    A. Gordon to Rogers for a hit
    B. Gordon to Kluivert for a hit (would save me a hit later in prep for gw 29)
    C. Keep Gordon this week.

So the question is basicly if Rogers is more than 4 points worth than Gordon and Kluivert this week. And if not is Kluivert 4 points more worth than Gordon this week 🙂

    THanks.

Who is your favourite content creator? Mine is FPL Harry. Doesn't ramble for too long and I trust his advice. He's finished in the top 10k like 5 years in a row which is remarkable. At the end of the day ranking consistently well does matter

I like the FPL Wire guys. Between the three of them they all have different playstyles yet come to great conclusions. Andy, Harry, Focal, Raptor, can't go wrong with them if you want some content to watch.

The content I watch the most is Planet FPL, FPL Blackbox, Scout and The FPL Wire.

I'll check them out. I don't mind Focal. Andy always plays it safe and is the kind of manager to hold Bruno for the full year.
Raptor gives good advice but makes a lot of mistakes

Salah triple captain got 29 points more than everyone else, not counting those that played the assistant manager chip

Hypothetically if you stick the triple captain on a differential, a differential with potential obviously, wouldn't that differential need like 1 goal to near enough match those 29 lost points?

Like it's Salah, he's been a point machine this season, but there was no way I was triple captaining him this last week. Every goal and assist I kind of cringed.

But all I lost was 29 points. Assistant manager Moyes got me 22 points.

Stick it on Son, or Kluivert, or Bowen. You know, someone with pedigree and who will be low owned and all they need is 1 goal to be 30 points up.

Am I the only one that thinks like this? Triple captain still available. I will most likely be playing it in a double gamesweek but it will definitely be a differential.

Not Dennis like seasons past but someone like Cunha? Sure why not, if they have a double, high risk high reward

I used to think like this but at the end of the day it's about maximizing points so went with Salah. I've taken the extreme risk path before with mixed results. Kdb in particular got me a ridiculous green arrow once

For it to work, U need Ur differential pick to do much better than the most captained pick and that's easier said than done. Very sharp double edged sword

As for the chip itself... AssMan is a stronger chip than TC so the fact TCers have outscored ASsmers by 29 Vs 22/15 is a big difference
