Here here. I'll be taking Tevez out for buck tooth later this week.
Open ControlsOr tonight as his prrice is rising...
Open Controls
very true and you ideally want someone nailed on rather than the worry of whether he will start every week
Open ControlsI have Jelly atm, but have come to see that Everton no longer rely on him to score their goals, But his fixtures warrant another couple of weeks. After that I'm looking to get Suarez in
Open ControlsAnd w/ Liverpool so dependent on Suarez he's pretty much guaranteed bonus points every week
Open Controls
Ba to Suarez for a hit - sheer brilliance or sheer madness?
Open Controlsstupidity
Open Controls
why no one is able to understand his plans? mark hughes out now!
Open Controlsthey have the saints next week , if they don't manage their first against them , then hughes is gone esp at home aswel..
Open ControlsThink it would be a very bad time to change manager, a catch 22 situation.
Open ControlsHe has to go really or relegation is a dead cert
Open Controls
Another medium-sized green arrow but definitely getting the feeling I'm not making the most of my good weeks and afraid I might erase all my gains with one bad week.
The irony is that my weakness is my defence yet I have been specially focusing transfers and funds on it.
It struck me today that there is no magic bullet defender who will get lots of attacking points AND CS. The cs come from teams that don't gallop forwards and leave holes, the attacking points from teams who do.
In which case I will downgrade to a stoke or norwich defender (already have demel and bardsley).Open ControlsFellaini rising yet again? I'm going to have to bite the bullet and get him I think. Tara Pienaar. So thats a Fellaini yellow and 2pts next week, and a Pienaar brace. Lovely.
Open ControlsAny last votes to help my decision?
A) Bale to Fellaini
B) Foster and Pienaar to Tremmel and FellainiOpen ControlsRight I need to make a decision someone talk sense to me which 2 from Ba, Jelly and Berbs should I have?
Open ControlsWhich do u think its better? A) ba, Fellini and McCawley or b) Aguero, Nolan, demel/a defender worth 4.1 that’s not gorkss?
Open Controlsmaybe a but tough one
Open Controls
Back in the top 500K. 🙂
Open ControlsCream rises. Or, as my brother reminds me, shit floats 😉
Open ControlsHopefully we can both rise to previous ranks this season. Beating 23K is my current goal.
Open Controls
Have you taken your eye off the ball this year? 🙂
Open ControlsFirst 3 weeks of FPL = being on holiday in USA, since then luck & bad management. Hopefully the tide is starting to turn.
Open Controls
hazard-->silva and nasri --> ?
Open ControlsSo Suarez going up tonight
Sell Jelly and get him in, or take the rise and wait due to fixtures (nor, RGD). Only other Everton cover is BainesOpen ControlsHave 2 FT.
Pog --> Giroud
Bale --> Maloney
Thoughts?Open Controlsis westham defence good, or are teams just not showing up to play?
Open Controlsgood d + nolan
Open Controls
Time for Tevez and Pienaar out for free? Who is the best replacement?
Bale Mata Pienaar Michu Sterling
RVP Tevez BaOpen ControlsStruggling to decide on who to bench next week from my front 8. Usually it would be Taarabt but I got him in with the Sourthamption fixture in mind. Thoughts?
Mata (wba) - Michu (new) - Cazorla (TOT) - Fellaini (rdg) - Taarabt (SOU)
RVP (nor) - Ba (SWA) - Berbatov (SUN)Open ControlsYep, I think so, but almost all teams in my private league have him so it's extra risk in playing Taarabt ahead of him. Almost want a (very) minor injury to someone. Thought Michu or Fellaini would have had another yellow card by now!
Open Controls
Rangel and Ba -> Cameron and Suarez? Needs to be done now or can't afford it.
Open ControlsNot for a hit. Plus there's Cuellar at 4.5m with great fixtures and a DGW upcoming, so you can afford Suarez to rise 0.1m.
Open Controls
I think so.
Open Controls
Also regarding transfer logic, the number one fallacy I keep falling for (despite knowing it's false) is subconsciously dismissing players in form because they've "done too well to keep it up". When you examine this it's nonsense because it implies players decide to play better or worse based on their last 5 FPL scores or whatever. We even don't really believe it because we never make benching decisions that way. We almost always choose the player who has done well!
Open ControlsWhich is why I got in Fellaini.
Open ControlsYep, I declined to based 50% on the 4 yellows and 50% on the above. Mistake this week of course and the bastard is so going to last til Christmas without another yellow!
Open Controls
With Fellaini it's simple, his stats backed up the goals. I can think of loads of bandwagons which have been based on overachieving, but this isn't one.
Open ControlsYep, ignoring all classifications he's a Suarez-like FPL player with massive threat and a low but more than sufficient conversion rate. Nolan is even better at conversion iirc but gets fewer chances.
Open Controls
Its easy to bring players in after a good gameweek or 2, the secret to rising above the same yawn midfield everyone has is to play the odds look at the fixtures and hedge your bets on he next player ready for a run. For me get in Silva or Valencia while the player picked % is under 10.
Open ControlsIt's one way of looking at it and I have Silva pencilled in, Valencia less so. I consciously ignore ownership whether low or high because I am simply looking for the highest scoring players in the coming weeks, nothing more. So I had fellaini down as middling because I expected a blank soon. I underestimated how many points he could rack up though.
Open Controls
Berby has enough transfers to give him a £.2m rise. What a waste happening on one day...
Open ControlsIs Tevez to Suarez worth a 4point hit?
Open Controlsyes
Open Controls
ba so unlucky today
Open ControlsPick 3 out of a) fellani b) bale c) cazorla d)mata e) silva? Help would be appreciated
Open ControlsBig Fat Sam is doing a great job, West Ham above the likes of Arsenal and Spurs at the moment
Open ControlsWhy are so many ditching Ba with his upcoming fixtures!? Simply to get Suarez in!?
Open ControlsI can think of worse reasons
Open Controls
wow demba ba great header
was over the line!!!! goal for ba should have been
ba owners have been robbedOpen ControlsBa played great today just no luck
glad i still have himOpen Controls1 header which should have been given a goal and another good shot from range. Did well
Open Controls
It's a bit painful watching that Nolan goal. I'll just pretend it didn't happen.
Open ControlsWalters>Nolan
obvious right?Open ControlsHah. Pretty ugly stuff on the bench, but I nominate myself as the bigger loser here after doing Berbatov->Ba for this weekend.
Was not even a knee jerk, he had done well for me but I'd scouted him specially and decided he was about to lose his form.
#visionOpen ControlsSickening. 15 point swing in my private league.
Will have to study MOTD2 and the Opta stats to see what was up with Newcastle today.Open ControlsI watched that and I can tell you. The problem is that they have no plan at the moment. As soon as they got the ball they quickly got it to their two fowards and waited for them to do something. In the end attacking with two players against seven won't work, and to be honest I think this has been the case for a few games now.
Demba Ba and a few other guys have bailed them out so many times this season with great goals when they've not played as well as they did last year.Open Controls

Just to re-enter the striker debate -
Sure taking out a player of Tevez's quality is a risk. However I’d rather have the “star” or focal point of a team than a rotation risk in a team of stars. Fantasy football is all about the individuals, the selfish players, the guys playing at a level beyond their team. Berbatov is this. And so is Suarez. I don't want a team player, someone who builds up play or is surrounded by other dominant types, and neither should you.
