Continuing our members articles which examine the numbers behind the previous four Gameweeks, we now switch our attention to the midfield area. With a packed festive programme providing hat-tricks for Santi Cazorla, Gareth Bale and Theo Walcott, it was a period which again saw the heavy-hitting midfielder come to the fore. Incredibly, however, that trio were surpassed by the performances of a player who has rolled back the years to recapture a level of returns and consistency that we perhaps thought were behind him.
Everybody. If no news by Saturday I`m just gonna risk it. Though I imagine we may get some kinda clue or hint from Rafa in his Friday press conference.
Open ControlsMy prediction is he'll still be in goal for the Arsenal game, but no more - you'll have to burn a transfer to get him out anyway so you have to weigh up whether that is worth the DGW - of which there is still a risk he won't play both games (I think he will, but there's still a risk).

Open ControlsI just think, how many times did he almost single handedly rescue Liverpool? And in the big games too. He was very very good. But, with Pirlo & Nedved I didn't have the pleasure of watching them week in week out years ago, so maybe it's a bit harsh on them.
And I still think Zidane is the best player I've ever seen.Open Controls

Open ControlsHow many titles has Gerrard won again? And no i am not. Much prefer Lampard.
Open ControlsNo of. titles isn't the way you judge a players talent. You Judge a team by it.
Open ControlsYou much prefer Lampard because you dislike Liverpool. Everyone in England knows Gerrard has been better than Lampard his whole career, only the delusional Chelsea and Utd fans disagree.
Open ControlsThis is not true.
Open Controls
Lampard = Gerrard. Hard to pick But im still gonna pick Gerrard to be ahead of Lampard. But Gerrard pass is not as good as Lampard now.

Who to start -
Hughes (WIG)
Clyne (avl che)
Not too much in it can see Clyne getting a -ve score v ChelsOpen ControlsIs anyone thinking of Steven Fletcher for the next 10 gameweeks? I think it is worth a punt, only problem is I need Lambert for this double and Podolski after that but sensing a missed opportunity here with Fletcher playing West Ham and Wigan for those two gameweeks.
Open ControlsFletcer has great fixtures for the next 4.
I would look at other DGW coverage. Lamps and Podolski arent high on my listOpen Controls
How's this for a WC team?
Turnbull, Begovic
Luiz, Demel, Gibbs, Harte, Mariappa
Mata, Michu, Walcott, Fellaini, Puncheon
RVP, Lambert, Berba
0.9 Bank.Open ControlsIll Obrien be back for DGW?
Open ControlsDidn't see the Chelsea / QPR game.
Bertrand played ahead of Cole and they lost 1-0.. assume this was to give cole a rest and therefore nailed on for two games inthe DGW, however could anyone that watched the game advise how bertrand actually played.Open ControlsWhich plan is better?
A) GW22- Shawcross > Luiz
GW23- Luiz > Gibbs
B) GW22- Zabaleta > Luiz (Play Shawcross at home to Chelsea
GW23 - Shawcross > Gibbs
C) GW22 - Shawcross > Luiz (play Zabaleta away to Arsenal)
GW23 - Zabaleta > Gibbs
Leaning towards A.
What do you guys think?
Thanks.Open ControlsA
Open Controls
Probably not
Open Controls
Those with Clyne - (avl, che) aren't that brilliant on paper. Would you play him ahead of Cameron (CHE) or Highes (WIG) for example?
Open ControlsAnd there's the issue of his fitness...
Open ControlsWho are your other defenderS?
Open ControlsWell - atm, it's Nastasic, Cameron, Hughes, Demel, Clyne.
Debating whether to do Fed -> Turnbull or Nasty -> Luiz/Azpili (waiting for tonight to decide).Open ControlsThe main problem is Clyne isn't 100% going to start, heard he's injured.
I'd fancy a Luiz/Cole transfer...I'd be wary of Azpi if Terry is backOpen ControlsI think you're right, I'm better off doing the defensive upgrade (especially as Minge, my other keeper has WHU - seems a waste to have him on the bench).
Just need to decide on who - tonight will help in that respect, hopefully.Open ControlsThat's the thing... Mignolet and Fed are actually very worthy of a start this week
Open Controls
And FWIW, I think Cole is as prone to a rest as the rest of them, with Bertrand waiting in the wings.
Open Controls
I would personally play hughes ahead of clyne. Clyne might only start the Chelsea game and i dont see wigan scoring
Open Controls
Morning all, any comments on this draft WC?:
Bego / Turnbull
Baines / Gibbs / Davies / Demel / Wilson
Fellaini / Mata / Walcott / Michu / Bale
RVP / Ba / Ruiz
Planning Ba -> Podolski next weekOpen Controlsfinally someone else with baines in their WC team.. i salute you sir...
.. team looks very strongOpen ControlsThanks. I can't understand why he isn't in more teams.
Class act IMOOpen Controlsi'd wait for Wilson to return though before bringing him in... maybe get turner / martin until then
Open ControlsGood plan. Think I'll change Turnbull -> Bunn so maybe a reading defender might be a thought. They seem to have tightened up at the back, maybe Mariappa.
Open Controls
Thanks
Open Controls
Tempting, but Berbs doesn't work with that midfield very well.
Open Controls
Looks excellent.
Open ControlsThanks SJT
Open Controls
Looks good, personally i would drop one of Michu/Fellaini to Puncheon and upgrade Ruiz
Open ControlsIn an ordinary season I would, but I like the idea of the 3-5-2 this time.
Open Controls
barring the obvious lack of Suarez, that is an excellent team.
Prefer Federici over Turnbull, though.Open Controls
replacement for Fonte , if any? 4.1 mil available..
Open ControlsCheeky punt on Hooiveld?
Open Controls
Worth a 4 point hit to get Turnbull in and play instead of Bego?
Open ControlsHmmm...think you're probably right.
Just dont feel i've got enough cover with just MataOpen Controls
LOL scratch that, now that Nelsen is not available. who to replace him with? 4.0 available..
Open ControlsNelsen will probably start against Spurs in his last match
Open ControlsAnd end up with a negative score.
Open Controlsor score an header

Worth ignoring the doublers and getting one/both of Bale + Felliani this week?
(Silva/Michu to make way [wont lose much value])Open ControlsI have Turnbull and Azapil, both are risk should I just take Turnbull out for Cerny save myself 0.4 and a transfer, then do Azapil > Nasty next week?
Open ControlsNow I got some idea why they're so motivated for clean sheet! 😛
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2259063/Stoke-City-Premier-League-fantasy-football-league.htmlOpen Controlsif you captain Mata in a midfield of Mata bale Michu puncheon Walcott
who do you drop to the bench for this gameweeek ??Open ControlsPuncheon. 2 away games and wouldn't feel good dropping Walcott with home fixture and Michu is a goal machine!

Help!!!!!!
Need your opinion on the better option – Thinking for long term as well
a) Van Persie and Ruiz (both home)
b) Tevez Suarez (both away)
cheersOpen Controlsa...Tevez might not play!
