- Hazard replacements
Most people seem to be doing the Hazard out, Silva in transfer for GW3.
I'm just not as convinced. Its the obvious transfer, but does anyone on here think there is a better option? I've got up to £10m. People have been throwing the Michu out there, but he didnt do to well in the same fixture last year away at West Brom. Everything is a bit of a gamble with the midfielders at the moment, as the premiums are yet to materialize. Its still early. So IMO its no more of a risk to go with someone like Ben Arfa, than it is Silva. Silva has started better, 1 goal and an assist, but its not out of the question he could blank vs. Hull. Hull's 3-5-2 system could easily see someone like Silva struggle to flourish. Hazard didnt have a great time did he? Cardiff and Newcastle have both been leaky. Hull seem organized. Apart from a few moments vs. Chelsea. But once they settled down in that game, they did alright!
So what about these suggestions? (" * " indicates who I am interested in)
Navas
Yaya Toure
Michu *
Ben Afri *
Nolan *
Giaccherini *
Hernandez
Valencia *
Gerrard *
Cazorla
Paulinho *
Chadli
Remember, everything is a bit of a punt at the moment and most of us will be looking to get Hazard/Lampard/Oscar back in soon anyway. I just have a feeling there will be a higher returning player in GW3 than Silva. I think a lot of people are doing Silva being drawn to the £9.1m price and in doing so ignoring other cheaper "less desirable" options. But it doesnt mean none of them cant beat Silva's score this gameweek! Price doesn't always = points.
So what do you think? Anybody else opting for players other than Silva?Open ControlsNot keen on Hazard now with the stupid number of attacking midfielders Chelsea have.
Open ControlsLampard is who I am looking at getting back in.
Looks nailed on alongside Ramires.
The 3 in front of them could be a mess for us FF players.
Willian will just add to that.
I believed Hazard was nailed on, but not so much now....rotation, rotation, rotation.Open Controls
I have 10m as well and still think I will take a punt on Cazorla..
Open ControlsLooking down your list (and it's very good, by the way) I'm definitely leaning towards David Silva.
Open ControlsI have just bought in Morrison from wba. 6.0 lots of shots in his last game vs Everton and an average goals per game of 2.47 vs Swansea.
Open ControlsI did put him in the list. But took him out. It was too long, so I took out some players who may be rotation risks anyway.
But the main ones are up there. Morrison is a good shout though. But Swansea did hold Spurs to 1. They looked terrible at the back vs. United though. But West Brom look like they are struggling for goals without Big Rom.Open Controls
silva or stick
Open ControlsAlready have Silva so my first thought was to go with Michu. Considering Paulinho too but no others really leap out at me.
Open ControlsHave had Silva since the start, so don't need to make such a decisions, however Silva is a quality player, far more mobile in tight areas than Hazard. I intend to keep him. I have actually kept Hazard, ditched Sess for Nolan. Will give him 4 games and see how it goes.
Open ControlsIm thinking Nokan and it gives me the funds to do Morrison > lamps.
Open ControlsI think I will make the Hazard transfer because I will be able to field the 3-5-2. But I will sit on this for a while and think about it, as there is no rush yet as no potential transfers are rising in price.
As it stands I've got a 4-4-2 but with Shaw a doubt.
The player to come of my bench if Shaw doesn't play is Chester. The other two are Hazard and Benteke, who dont have a game.
But that would probably mean a saved transfer for GW4. But I dont think the score next week will be very good at all. I'll be shocked if it breaks 50 as it stands now.Open Controls
Having lost to Cardiff, City will be under pressure to perform well against Hull, especially in front of the home crowd, and Silva really is their best midfielder. Nasri looked off his game against Cardiff, and Navas wasn't very impressive with his crosses. So City will definitely bounce back against Hull, and Silva will most likely get an assist for sure, if not more points.
Open ControlsI am looking to dump Hazard this week for a 5.0m midfielder so as to bring in RVP from GW4 - I am currently favouring a Cardiff midfielder given their home potential and easier fixtures. Undecided between Kim and Gunnarsson though - any tips/thoughts? Both seem to offer starts and potential for goals/assists. Thanks.

I'm caught in two minds as to who could win.
On one hand United won the league last year with the same squad. Moyes' first game in charge could have a bit of an atmosphere. Plus the home advantage.
On the other hand it is Mourinho, and he is brilliant at getting results in big games. Is teams are always difficult to beat and United have probably dropped more points to Chelsea than anyone over the last decade.
My heart is telling me United though.

Cheers for reply on last place Doos. Nolan or Valencia in for me this week. Waiting to see how Tony V does tonight
Open ControlsC'mon show us the Rooneroo
Open ControlsPersonally I am keeping Hazard. Hazard is a class player and the number of premium mids worth the money seems low. I think he will play. He is a wizard on the ball and one of the best players in the prem. Jose would be a fool not to play him, and the special one is not a fool. It won't be him being rotated, it will be Oscar, Mata, Schurrle and De B in my opinion!

didnt see the spurs game, how far forward was paulinho and was he great, average, so so?Open Controlspaulinho..he did play well... had 2-3 chances... but did not finish
i guess its too early to consider him as good fpl prospectOpen ControlsSpurs were quite flaccid in attack with few decent chances made, but he played very highly and had a decent number of attempts... Seems good value IF spurs can get organised going up the pitch

chelsea get a penalty, lampard misses. then in the last minute they get another penalty and hazard scores. hazard stays on pens for the season.
"penalty at old trafford?"
