We roll out the next instalment of our weekly article for Members this evening, offering an in-depth statistical analysis of the main captaincy contenders for the set of fixtures ahead. This week, more than most, getting the armband call correct looks crucial β given that all of our featured five have acquired at least 12% of the votes cast in the Gameweek 16 Captain Poll, opinion looks split right across the board. Time to delve into the data, thenβ¦
Hmm let me just decide who I want to sabotage most before I advise you
Open ControlsId take it if Baines & Vertonghen were fit. Vert may be out for a month more tho..
Open ControlsYea but the thing with draft it's more of a long term thing and vert has amazing recovery powers and also better fixtures in jan !
Open Controlstrue, I would probably still take the deal, but only risk is there are quite a few matches over xmas and you wouldn't want to miss out on too many points.
Open ControlsBut you are biased ain't you ?
I know your a big fan of heavy hitters at the back π
Btw the deal is with me - am I mad to make the Baines /vert > Hazzard /Nasri iyo ?Open ControlsYep, I am a big fan of defenders that can produce attacking points! I wouldn't make the trade if I were you.

I have 1 FT. my only immediate problem is Clyne. If he doesn't play i would have to play Koscielny or Gabbidon and i don't want to do that.
If there is still no confirmation on whether he is out before the game should i risk it or transfer him out for Chester/Burner?Open ControlsWho do you have the best rotation cover for? Burner has good home fixtures ahead but very bad away.
Open ControlsSave transfer, you'll want to save wherever possible over the next few weeks in my opinion. Clyne with Koscielny first sub is fine if it means you can stack a transfer.

Only Milan qualified from Seria A π―
Such a boring leagueOpen ControlsDisagree! Napoli and Juventus were ridiculously unlucky. Aside from Madrid Barca and Bayern I think a lot of the European clubs in the CL are on a similar keel whether they be from Germany, Italy, France or England
Open ControlsWhy Juventus unlucky?? Do you mean the pitch last night ?? C'mon they had 5 other games to do well, they didn't. That is why they are out
Napoli I can understandOpen ControlsYes the pitch last night played a factor. I think the Juvetus team is pretty good and would give all of the English teams a run for their money. You cant hit out with a sweeping statement like Seria A is boring because the top two last year were unluckily put out of the CL
Open Controls
on the other side Milan were very lucky. They should never have had the penalty in injury time at the Arena, and then they spent 70 minutes wasting time and hoping for the best at the San Siro. It worked but it was very lucky
Open ControlsCouldnt agree more! Its the worst Milan team ive seen in a while. Wanted your boys to go through with Barca from that group.
Open Controlsa real shame, think we could've had a chance against any team in the next round over 2 legs.
Will just have to do well in Europa now in order to better our co-efficient so we get a better group next year! 3 groups of death in a row is pretty unlucky! Madrid, Madrid and then BarcaOpen Controls
My lineup this week:
Howard
McAuley Lovren Jagielka
Ozil Hazard(vc) Ramsey Ravel
Lukaku(c) Aguero Suarez
On the bench: 4.0, Shaw, Amalfitano, Gabbidon
0FT, 1.4ITB, seems no room for improvement for now.Open ControlsGuys what combo you prefer?
A) Lukaku + Silva (have Aguero)
B) Lukaku + Yaya (have Aguero)
C) Rooney + Barkley
D) Lukaku + Oscar (have Hazard)
E) Rooney + Mid up to 6.6 (what you suggest?)
My mission is to find an alternative to Gerrard & Giroud...
Thanks a lot!Open ControlsThought there would be more mention of Kevin Mirallas... anyone reckon he's a good punt for non-Lukaku teams?
If I look from over the last 9 GW's he's actually only 9 points behind Romelu... is £1.2 cheaper and hopefully is "due" a goal (although I hate using that phrase to justify a transfer... usually hints at hope rather than logic π
GW7 - 13 Lukaku points = 48
GW7 - 13 Mirallas points = 39Open ControlsTeam looking ok?
Howard
Coleman - Koscielny - Burner
Ozil - Hazard - Ramsey - Ravel
Suarez(vc) - Aguero(c) - Remy
Bench: Davis - Redmond - Gabbidon - ChicoOpen ControlsDecent, just needs Lukaku
Open Controls
What do u guys think of doing Sess --> Nasri on a FT?
Open ControlsMost attacking teams for the previous two game weeks...top two for goal attempts makes good reading...jeez...60 attempts and 40 attempts, so nil nil coming up ?..i don't think so...http://members.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/my-stats-tables/view/3846/
Open ControlsCity/Ars?
Open ControlsIs there a goal attempts on target bit you can add to the table? I tried to give you a vote on the page but it's not working :/
Open Controlsyeah i can add it no problem....i just prefer to use the straight forward goal attempts myself to see which teams are having a pop...
Open Controls
Who will sign who in Jan?
Unitd a midfielder?
Ars backup striker?
Chelsea a striker or recall Romelu?
Tottenham.... a teamwork coach?
Liv a mid?Open ControlsCan we actually get Lukaku back though? Isnt the contract for the whole season?
If we can then I bloody hope we doOpen Controlshttp://bleacherreport.com/articles/1783874-chelsea-making-mistake-with-romelu-lukaku-loan-clause
Apparently not!! V Strange....Open ControlsI honestly cant believe we bought Etoo, just making the same mistakes over and over again. We like buying players when theyve become crap, ie Shevchenko,Torres now Etoo
All that money spent on players playing in the same positions tooOpen Controls
Arsenal and Tottenham won't spend in Jan..
United will definitely try to buy a Midfielder
Chelsea also I doubt will buy someone
Liverpool will try and keep hold of Suarez thats it and if he leaves then someone else
City may buy someone..Open ControlsThanks for the answer but I WANT NAMES!!
I have heard LIV are sniffing around and I know Utd have been linked with everyone.. good and bad...
Everton Ribeiro - id take him
Baines - sod off
Vidal - I would kill my cat for him
Strootman - take it
Cabaye - take anything right now
Koke - yes please
That guy from PSG - Oh hello yes please
SONG - id sing oneOpen Controlsvidal - didnt he just sign a new contract? moyes went to watch koke yesterday apparently. cant see us signing a big player in jan though.
i wanted dortmund to get knocked out yesterday so we could try and get gundagonOpen ControlsHaha, no way would Vidal go to you. Strootman neither, he's only just gone there.
Anyway Utd don't any real top draw players anymore, not for years.Open ControlsMoyes was dumb enough not to pursue Strootman before he joined Roma would have made a hell of a difference but now I feel its a lost cause...United right now has problem in 2 areas Left Wing (Young is really bad and Nani also not performing) and a Centre Mid to accompany Carrick..if rumours are to be believed I would love to see United get Reus (even if they ask Kagawa in exchange because he is not getting chances) or if we can't get Reus then someone good! for a mid I would love to see Cabaye come in he would fit in perfect even Koke is good!
Open Controls
I don't think Chelsea have a recall clause.
Arsenal have Pod coming back, maybe an extra striker would help too.
Utd probably need two mids and a flexible top defender.
Tottenham need their wingers to stay on the wing and Soldado to stay in the box for a few games, then see what they need.
Don't know about pool.Open ControlsAnd start passing to Souldaddy for a change. If he got decent service they would be a different team. Or if they could hit the target.
Open ControlsYou're right,Soldado's goals in Europe pretty much all came from inside the box. It's what I meant but wasn't clear about the wingers, they need crosses and passes to him close in.
Open Controls
Not sure if anybody has posted this yet, but came across this interesting stat ahead of this weekend:
- Rooney has scored more goals (11) for United against Aston Villa and Fulham than any other opponent.Open ControlsVilla are poor at home too.
Open Controls
Scout Tweet, Vorm set for January knee surgery.
Open ControlsAguero (C) over Rooney (C) ?
Open Controlsguyz please help....do you think walcott will start this week
i am tempted to do wally to barkley as i dont have lukakuOpen ControlsImagine if Deulofeu became an option. Oh the money to be spent in midfield!
Open ControlsIf he only was a mid in the game, he'd be straight in my team
Open ControlsHe is an option if you play with two up front (Suarez and Aguero)...my bro has done it all season...Last week his third spot was Chamakh and this week i just know it will be Deulofeu...He's currently about 800th overall btw.

What's the average age around here you think?
Open Controlssometimes I have a feeling it's around 14 π
though no idea, a big gaps I think. How old are you? πOpen ControlsHah π
Open ControlsWomen hit their sexual peak at 40.
Open ControlsThe reason for that is because they spend their younger life playing hard to get, enjoying the power by teasing men.
Then when they get all wrinkly & saggy, they suddenly arent desired anymore...
So then they start to need sex to feel wanted again.
So they do.Open ControlsI love milfs.

Open Controls23 on christmas π

guys was all set on bringing in hazard this week. oscar being 1m cheaper is tempting me now instead?
thoughts?Open ControlsI would definitely go with Oscar. I brought in Hazard a few days ago and I have BADDDDD FEEEELS that Oscar is going to steal the show
Open Controls
Jetlag sux. π
Open Controlsmakes sense la roja.
any advice mate? hazard at 9.8m or get oscar for 8.8m instead?Open Controlsdecided to go with Rooney © this game week too.
It's a bit of a gamble but i think the risks are limited with both Aguero and Suarez facing unfavourable opposition.
It's the Lukaku/Hazard captainers that i am most worried about.Open Controlscaptain choices will so diversed this GW IMO. Those with Haz and Lukaku will most probably go for one of them. Also those with SAR front line won't go for one obvious choice, as Rooney is playing against a weak team, Suarez is on fire and Aguero was rested and is playing at home, where he has been doing great so far...
Open Controls
1. % Chance Walcott Starts?
2. % Chance Mirallas Starts?
3. Bench Walcott or Ramsey for Ravel
Many Thanks,
El BerbOpen Controls30, 75, Good luck with the next. Benching Walcott = selling.

- New PostOpen Controls
Pantilimon
Jagielka Johnson Terry
Januzaj Oviedo Ramsey Hazard (VC)
Lukaku (C) Agüero Suárez
Shelvey Mertesacker Ward
Kelvin Davis Shelvey Ward
19 points off 1st place who is Capt Suarez this week.
Could switch my Capt to Aguero though
No free transfers and 7.5m in the bank
Team look good for this week?
Players I want to get in the next few weeks Silva & WalocttOpen ControlsWant a crazy Captain idea for this week: I'm going with Ivanovic. Chelski are nearly guaranteed a CS, and I think he's "due".
Yes, I hate the word due, too, but I have a decent lead in my ML and I think the CS is similar to a forward being guaranteed to score a goal so I'm doing it.Open Controls

Guys if you were in a draft league and you were offered Baines and Vertonghen for Hazard and Nasri, what would you do?
