    What do you want and not want to happen over the Christmas period...

    -Austin to keep injury free
    -RVP to start games
    -Lampard to turn up trump
    -Wally to look sharp against QPR
    -Giroud to carry on good form
    -Hammers to beat Chelsea and Arsenal

    Not too much to ask 🙂

      Giroud one defo. I put him in and took him out when he got benched. He's got 3 in 2 since then I think.

    This normally gets a good reception so I've worked out the current points/rank milestones:

    Rank | Points
    1 = 1,125
    100 = 1,058
    500 = 1,034
    1k = 1,021
    5k = 986
    10k = 969
    25k = 944
    50k = 923
    100k = 900
    200k = 874

    Has there been an article yet on when is the best time to play the Jan WC?

    I know a lot depends on individual squads and whether the anytime WC has been played yet or not, but I think this could be a crucial decision for all of us.

    I don't envisage much transfer activity in the window, and there are only a few obvious players (Aguero, Wally, Ramsey etc) returning from injury that may make us hold on a bit longer to the Jan WC.

    However, most of us will have 2-3 MCY players come the opening of the Jan WC window, and MCY's fixtures stiffen straight away (eve, ARS, che) so perhaps this is a good time to offload (with a plan to get Aguero back with 2 freebies later on when he is fit).

    In addition, fixtures for teams like ARS turn for the better from GW21 onwards (STO, AVL, LEI being their next home games), so it could be an opportune moment to load up.

    Worth a discussion?

      I plan to play mine on the 17th - gives two whole weeks of price changes as the next deadline isn't till the 31st (so also covers real transfer activity.)

        Decent strategy. For me it is either straight away or then.

        10 day window of doing straight away plus fixtures changing for quite a few teams imo.

        You planning to hold 3 MCY players through their tough GW21-23 incl?

            Same here.

            Surely we have to get at least 1 more for the 2 juicy home games?

    Assuming the Siggy/Hazard injuries are nothing serious and are fine. Would you do:

    Dummett > Terry (-4)

    Yay or nay?

    Need a Chelsea defender. Team:

    Hart 4.0
    Baines Naylor DUMMETT Wisdom Hutton
    Sanchez Yaya Hazard Siggy Downing
    Giroud Austin Kane

      Point chasing, & I'd need some light shed on the last one 😉

      I like the Costa move, though Tekker's temptation is his relative nailed-on ness over the festive period compared to other mid-priced strikers

      Having said that, I'm keeping Siggy for now. Has a great fixture coming up, & I like the counter-attacking potential the Swans have vs. a likely 3 at the back Villa side.

      Montero & Rout could do damage, & it's screaming for Siggy assists with a well rested Bony to boot.

    My current team :

    Guzan Gilks
    Clyne Chambers Naylor Duff Wisdom
    Hazard Sanchez Yaya Siggy Boyd
    Costa Rooney Austin

    I'm leaning towards dumping Costa and improve my 4th mid / def.

    What move would you suggest?

    A. Costa -> Benteke
    B. Costa -> Giroud
    C. Costa -> Bony

    That will free up cash for (-4)
    Upgrade Siggy to Fab / Sterling / Silva
    or
    Upgrade defence

    Gosh so many options, what should i do?

        I dont have the money, and I think siggy is too good for the bench. My strikers are benteke,austin and rooney

          Rooney > Giroud
          Marney > Downing

          Would that work? I'd do the Rooney switch this week and Downing next week, for free.

            I think Rooney will be better. I could switch siggy for downing next week, and save a ft this. 🙂

            - i appreciate your time/help

            Too late to get Downing imo. I'm in the same boat, but check the fixtures.

              I see. The Chelsea match could be difficult, but I think he will get some points in the next 4 matches. (arsenal, west brom, swansea, hull). Whatever im doing, i think ill regret it lool. 😀

    Guzan
    Caulker Baines Naylor (Dummet Duff)
    Downing Haz Yaya Sanchez Boyd
    Rooney Bony Austin

    2 Fts this week. Any advises should be really helpful.
    Want to bring in City players. Also Rooney playing so deep is concerning for me.

      Rooney playing deep is concern but can we take him out before Newcastle 🙁
      Rooney to Benteke/Giroud, Dummett to Zaba is an option

        No United cover? 🙁
        Why are they so expensive!
        How can i get in Silva?

  19. Sebbo29

    G2G? Already did Siggy & Chambers --> Zaba & Silva with my 2 FT

    Heaton (Gilks)
    Zaba/Baines/Azpi (Dummett/Moore)
    Hazard/Sanchez/Silva/Downing (Boyd)
    Austin/Costa/Bony

    0 FT, 0.0 ITB

    Actually very tempted to do Costa --> Giroud for a hit and then sort out Moore with the extra cash.

    Also hope Haz will be fine...
    Thoughts? Thanks guys

      Think you should have some concrete info on Siggy. We may not be so lucky with Haz - Maureen can be a little vague on such things

    If you had Downing and Carroll would you:

    A) Keep both
    B) Ditch Carroll
    C) Ditch Downing
    D) Ditch both

    1. davies

      B

        You could keep both, but I wouldn't want a double up with their fixtures.

        Downing is amazing value.

      B only

      Long term, more mileage with Kane/Austin at the price IMO

    Is Bolasie worth a go or do you think he's one of those players that you like because of his style of play but doesn't deliver enough?

    1. UnderstandablyDistraught
      • 12 Years
      9 years, 4 months ago

      cheaper successful strikers had depreciated players like him a little. We can afford to splash more cash in mid so any movement of players in his price range right now would generally be an upgrade, especially when many are rotating 3rd striker and 5th mid

    1. Whats up with Hazard. Why is he yellow flagged?

    2. Thoughts on Costa -> Benteke?
    Got a feeling he might be rotated..

    Assuming the Siggy/Hazard injuries are nothing serious and are fine. Would you do:

    Dummett > Terry (-4)

    Yay or nay?

    Need a Chelsea defender.
