Looking at the stats for Di Maria...hmmm. It appears that either he is a football genius who can generate a shot or assist whenever he enters the box or we are about to see a huge case of reverting to the mean?

After the two weeks he has had, you have to consider him, but I have never seen such a good return from so little activity.

    Krul Gilks
    Clyne, Caulker, PvA, Duff, Moore
    Sterling, Cesc, Ramsey, Eriksen, Siggy
    Costa, Rooney, Naimsith.

I'm thinking of Caulker and Eriksen > Taylor and Di Maria for -4.

That make sense? Or should I do something else? Thanks 🙂

    so many moves to make

naismith needs to go as now rotation risk
rooney needs to go, playing to deep.
Mata needs to go, not starting
    ferdinand needs to go, useless
krul needs to go, newcastle letting in goals for fun
    possibly ramsey too

Ulloa, falcao, ADM, duff, forster, all need to come in

I thought my team was fine but no

      Don't trust Duff at 36.

Had Heaton from the beginning. Top scoring goalkeeper BOOM!

Naismith doesn't need to be dropped yet, I think. This game was between a European fixture and the Liverpool game, that won't happen every week.

Rooney is a cert to play every game, worse players to have.

Mata is a big risk, agree.

Any QPR defenders need to go.

Krul does need to go but Newcastle's fixtures are okay on paper so if you have other issues maybe leave him for now?

      Ramsey I'm undecided on.

In a need of advice. No idea what to do, out of this options:

    A) Di Maria for Ramsey
    B) Ulloa for Rooney and Di Maria for Cattermole
    C) Ulloa for Rooney and Di Maria for Cattermole + Clyne for Lovren
    D) Di Maria for Ramsey and Clyne for Lovren

    Thank you guys.

OK carrying on from my question regarding footballers using both feet, I think strikers should be able to hit the target more than they do. The goals are like the width of a terraced house and the number of times I see someone sky it into row Z is unbelievable.

Do you think a professional footballer should be able to hit the target more often than not, especially if it's their job to score goals?

Well some are better than others and they generally get well rewarded for it. A strikers job is the most difficult on the pitch, because really, you've got whole team trying to stop you doing that job. There's so much to account for other than technique. The pressures are enormous.

    2. Screaming Midget
      • 14 Years

Valid point Granville, but there's many times when a striker has enough time to do what they are surely doing for hours on the training ground. I still think they should at least force a save from the keeper.

2 FTs 0.1 itb and no idea what to do

    Krul

    Wilson Naylor Clyne
    Fab Ramsey Siggy ADM Sterling
    Rooney Aguero

    Elliot-Moore-Hutton-Vaz Te

Maybe Ramsey to Boyd and upgrade Vaz Te to Lukaku/Pelle/Ade/Welbeck?
Or maybe Ozil for Ramsey to own a differential
    Thoughts please?

    Leicester Striker situation(hopefully hulked 🙂 :
When Leicester play 3 uptop Ulloa and Vardy and probably Nugent will start. Ulloa is the main target man, Nugent drops deeper and does the dirty work and Vardy offers pace on the counter. Considerin they've got 3 away games coming up expect Vardy to be their main outlet as he'll be the one getting the ball out of leicesters half and into dangerous areas on counters. When they play 2 uptop it'll be Ulloa and Vardy. Ulloa again the main target man and Vardy creating and making space for others etc just behind him.. Nugent will see the bench more often while Vardy and Ulloa are nailed on. When Nugent is on the pitch he is on penos.. when he is not Ulloa will be on them.
Last season Vardy was the most impressive player in the championship for me.. preseason i'd backed him to be teh main man at leicester and the budget price of 5 seemed too good to pass up but now that his injury worry is behind him i'm getting him straight away. While i love the beast that is Ulloa, i love guys like Vardy. much more entertaining to watch and the likeliness of an explosive score of the bench is higher. Just signed a new contract and i'm glad for the foxes that he did. he is quite a player.. Also Vardy at 4.9 is easily benchable while Ulloa at 0.7 more will mean you'll prob have to play him more often than not(which may not be a bad thing 🙂 ) .. anyway. just my 2 cents.. take it or leave it 🙂

    1. rickardinho
      • 9 Years
      9 years, 8 months ago

Do you think Vardy will see a price rise this week? That may be the reason for Ulloa's popularity.

Also much harder to justify a player taking one of the 3 striker spots when he's only produced the goods in one game.

      Great points though.

He's only produced the goods in 1, but bear in mind this is his first 90 minute game this season. He's played in 3 of the 5 and the first 2 were for around 20~ mins each.

Should I get rid of Schurrle? I'm thinking yes. However, he does score, even off the bench...

Don't think he'll be in Mourinho's good books if he blames him for the goal however...
