FFS Paddy Power Cup XI and Members Cup V – Second Round Draw

This evening we roll out the second round draws of the Fantasy Football Scout Cup XI, as sponsored by Paddy Power, as well as the fifth Fantasy Football Scout Members Cup.

There were mixed fortunes for our former FFS Paddy Power Cup former champions, with our team news man Demi’s score of 35 proving too much for past winner Wild Rover as he cruised through to the second round to face Brain Stem.

Gribude was another former champion to fall, with Snotgrass’s tally of 40 knocking him out in the first round. Toon_army_htl was the conqueror of reigning champion CMIFLFC, while former winner GoonerDave also missed out on a second round draw, after being removed by Blue Mooners.

That leaves three former champions in the competition after Jonty (that’s me) eased past Big Dolls to set up a round two encounter with Bahahahacelona and MCH defeated Aliminator to face Jonny in the second round. Donnellyc was another victorious former champion and he takes on I Just Did A Torres in the second round.

Other notable second round clashes include CB’s match with Mark, and Leaf’s clash with Paul.

Among our former Members Cup champions Trigg’s first round victory was the most eye catching. He saw off the top ranked FPL manager Dufflinks by the slender margin of one point in what was a low scoring week for many of the top ranked players. Trigg now faces Pdes in the second round.

Another former winner Fuzzy Dunlop was less fortunate. He fell in the first round to another community regular Jafooli, who now faces Mrben.

With Dufflinks’ departure, 12th placed Gratuzo is the Members Cup’s highest ranked surviving manager. Red5 who is ranked more than 400,000 places behind Gratuzo will be hoping to emulate Trigg’s success in claiming a big scalp in the second round.

The full draw for the Fantasy Football Scout Cup XI can be found here, while the draw for the Members Scout V can be found here.

Good luck to those involved in the weekend’s action. In the meantime, though, if you’re looking for more information on the Scout Cup schedule and prizes available, click this link for a more thorough rundown.

The answer for Chelseas issues is to move Hazard in the middle and play Willian and another on the wings. He will be able to interchange with Costa more and finally has a refined enough game to play in behind the striker

Chelsea don't attack. You shouldn't expect 2 or 3 goals from them.

That's fine in tough spots, but we need to be able to kill off games, playing our best player on the wing seems wasteful

        1. Twisted Saltergater
          • 14 Years
          9 years, 2 months ago

Chelsea only attack with 5 players. I'm not sure you understand Mourinho's approach to games.

He's a winner. They win. But they'll never entertain like a Barcelona or Arsenal. Abrahamovic seems to have accepted it.

I think I understand quite well, point being, you can keep formation and maximize the 5 attackers by putting your best player in CAM

The only thing entertaining about arsenal is watching Arsene figure out new ways to fail

You don't appreciate football if you don't admire Arsenal in full swing.

              Entertaining doesn't win trophies though.

That's why they are by far the highest scoring English team this season I guess.

91 goals in all competitions compared to 77 for City last time I counted.

        1. Twisted Saltergater
          • 14 Years
          9 years, 2 months ago

?! They could win every game one or two nil and play 60 games in a season, doesn't make them free scoring.

Started the season with a bang - 10 goals in 2 games - then pretty much 1 or 2 in usual Mourinho fashion.

Watchlist totally ridiculous AGAIN. How can Mignolet be perceived to have easy fixtures? After they play Manutd and Arsenal maybe but why base it on games happening in three games time?
