FFS Cup

FFS Paddy Power Cup XI and Members Cup V – Second Round Draw

This evening we roll out the second round draws of the Fantasy Football Scout Cup XI, as sponsored by Paddy Power, as well as the fifth Fantasy Football Scout Members Cup.

There were mixed fortunes for our former FFS Paddy Power Cup former champions, with our team news man Demi’s score of 35 proving too much for past winner Wild Rover as he cruised through to the second round to face Brain Stem.

Gribude was another former champion to fall, with Snotgrass’s tally of 40 knocking him out in the first round. Toon_army_htl was the conqueror of reigning champion CMIFLFC, while former winner GoonerDave also missed out on a second round draw, after being removed by Blue Mooners.

That leaves three former champions in the competition after Jonty (that’s me) eased past Big Dolls to set up a round two encounter with Bahahahacelona and MCH defeated Aliminator to face Jonny in the second round. Donnellyc was another victorious former champion and he takes on I Just Did A Torres in the second round.

Other notable second round clashes include CB’s match with Mark, and Leaf’s clash with Paul.

Among our former Members Cup champions Trigg’s first round victory was the most eye catching. He saw off the top ranked FPL manager Dufflinks by the slender margin of one point in what was a low scoring week for many of the top ranked players. Trigg now faces Pdes in the second round.

Another former winner Fuzzy Dunlop was less fortunate. He fell in the first round to another community regular Jafooli, who now faces Mrben.

With Dufflinks’ departure, 12th placed Gratuzo is the Members Cup’s highest ranked surviving manager. Red5 who is ranked more than 400,000 places behind Gratuzo will be hoping to emulate Trigg’s success in claiming a big scalp in the second round.

The full draw for the Fantasy Football Scout Cup XI can be found here, while the draw for the Members Scout V can be found here.

Good luck to those involved in the weekend’s action. In the meantime, though, if you’re looking for more information on the Scout Cup schedule and prizes available, click this link for a more thorough rundown.

Not really. Barca are a much better team than Man City. I still expect Man City to do something in the league.

That is right, problem at Real is that Benzema cannot keep a good form for a long time and Bale has become selfish and is not so productive.
With MSN, everyone seems to contribute and they seem to understand each other so well

but at the start of the season until new year BBC destroyed MSN, since then one trio lost a little form an the other started to find each other.

Barca. They are so good. Hey, Atletico Madrid beat them 2x last year, and Real Madrid beats them too. Of course, RM is loaded with amazing talent. You can beat Barca with a stout defense and a good counterattack. Celtic beat Barca in the champions league last year this way, IIRC.

    1. Captain Shirokov

Exactly, park the bus is the only way to beat them. Chelsea and Celtic have proven this.

This. Suarez is so good at punishing mistakes. It would need a VERY assured bus parking to keep them out now.

I watch every game, and he never ceases to amaze. Goes 1 on 3 or 4 and still snakes through. And, he goes right for goal every time. Hazard is similar in his dynamo aggressiveness with the ball, but he just does not quite have the dribbling skills.
