Injuries

The Treatment Table – Gameweek 35

The injuries were kept to a relative minimum over the weekend’s action as we cast an eye over the latest batch of recruits to climb onto this Sunday’s Treatment Table.

Chelsea
Ramires was initially named in the Chelsea starting line-up to face Palace this afternoon but withdrew prior to kick-off due to illness. Jose Mourinho revealed post-match:

“Ramires went to the hospital. He was feeling so bad that we decided to take him out of the dressing room and take him to hospital. I’m going to visit him now. Maybe he’s not there anymore, but he was feeling really bad, really ill.”

Manchester City
Jesus Navas missed this afternoon’s trip to Tottenham with a tight hamstring, according to the local press. City’s problems on the flanks mounted after Samir Nasri lasted just three minutes as a substitute before suffering a recurrence of a groin problem.

Newcastle
Paul Dummett is an early doubt for the Magpies’ clash with West Brom after sustaining a hamstring problem during Saturday’s loss at Leicester.

QPR
Steven Caulker was subbed off at the break in the R’s loss at Liverpool due to a suspected broken hand.

Southampton
Sadio Mane was forced off during the Saints’ loss at Sunderland after failing to recover from a challenge from Lee Cattermole.

Swansea
Nelson Oliveira was replaced in the first-half of the Swans’ win over Stoke due to an ankle injury. Garry Monk conceded the forward – who has been playing with the problem for a fortnight – is set to be assessed:

“He’s had it for a couple of weeks that ankle injury. Under the challenge, it was a heavy challenge on him, he rolled his ankle and it was enough to come off. There was swelling, so it’s one of them that we’ll have to assess in 48 hours’ time. Hopefully the swelling goes down and he’s available for next week, but won’t really know until probably Tuesday.”

Sunderland
The Black Cats’ skipper John O’Shea was forced off with a rib injury and concussion in the 2-1 win over Southampton.

West Brom
James Morrison missed the Baggies’ win over United due to injury, according to post-match reports.

Can i get some advice from the DZ brain's trust please.

    Krul Panti
    Skrtel Terry Ivanovic PVA Hutton
    Hazard Silva Henderson Sterling JWP
    Aguero Kane Giroud

    1) Ivanovic > Koscielny
    2) Ivanovic & Sterling > Koscielny & Ramsey (-4)
    3) Sterling & Kane > Ramsey & Benteke (-4)
    4) Skrtel & Sterling > Koscileny & Ramsey

As a lot of people are saying here, 7.5 for a defender is a lot for Ivanovic when he's just shaking 5s every week.

Best options for Arsenal DGW, folks ?

One defensive option, plus two mids.

One defender, one mid and one striker (Giroud)

Or what ? guess it depends on your current set up. Think I'll get Kos in.

General consensus is we think Giroud *could* be rested for the second DGW game, yeah...?

    Morning from Colombia all!

    A couple of questions:

    A) Save the transfer? 0.1m in the bank.
    B) Does this look like the right lineup, with Liv playing Chels away?

    Myhill
    Terry, Bellerin, Schlulpp, Rose
    Hazard, Coutinho, Ozil
    Aguero (c), Benteke, Giroud

    Panti; Hendo, Skrtle, Mahrez

    Remy + Hazard -> Giroud + Ramsey (2FT) this week ?

    1. Taking a chance on Hazard blank, because I don't think many will captain him this week - Aguero and Sanchez/Giroud seem better options. So Haz points may not cause significant damage.

    2. I'm backing Ramsey to outscore Haz till the end of season

    3. Slightest chance of Haz getting rested

      I think it's OK overall.

      1 - I agree
2 - Debatable - the Sunderland game in GW38 is the one you need to be wary of
3 - I agree and think it's more likely than people imagine - GW37 if it happens

In a bit of a pickle with my transfers this gw. 🙁

    Mignolet - Myhill
    Ivanovic - Bertrand - Wolly - Moreno - Duff
    Hazard - Fabregas - Silva - Henderson - Puncheon
    Aguero - Giroud - Vardy

1 FT and 0.7m in the bank.

Original plan was Fabregas ➡ Ramsey but getting twitchy about not having Benteke.

Do I really need him for the run in? If yes, then how would you fit him in? 😕

that is a bit picklish. I was warning folk they shouldn't be selling tekkers as there wont be time to get him back what with the scramble for some arse (clubbing I think they call it)
you have 3 options. go with a third arse. go with tekkers. spend 4 points. which appeals to ya?

Benteke, as I was last week. Is it worth losing Hazard though? Chelsea have won the league, and may rest him. But it would be for a hit. I can't think of another way to get him in.

I can't see Hazard starting Chelsea's last two games.

25 pts behind my main ML rival and just outside top 10k

Made 3 danger trannies - Kane/Sterling/Fabregas out - Benteke/Ozil/Ramsey in (0.0 ITB so had to act!)

    That left me with

    Krul

    Terry, Bellerin, Schlupp, Skrtel, Cresswell

    Hazard, Silva, OZIL, RAMSEY, Philips

    Aguero, Vardy, BENTEKE

Clyne to Koscielny and Sterling to Ramsey ( I currently have 2 saints defenders)

    Or

Silva to Sanchez and Sterling to Cazorla

        It does indeed.

Looks like the only way to do it. Have to take some chances now.

that is they way i would do it. rotation gonna hit chelsea now anyway and hazmat looks buggered lately. so that swings the odds a bit more in your favour.

    Help!

    Myhill, Davis
    Ivan, Terry, Skrtel, PVA, Wollscheid
    Hazard, Sanchez, Silva, Sterling, Lucas
    Vardy, Kane, Aguero

    0.5 ITB, 2 FT

    A) Ivan, Vardy -> Wasilewski, Giroud
    B) A + Sterling -> Ramsey (-4)
    C) Ivan, Sterling -> Kosc, Larsson (with more than enough to do Vardy -> Giroud next week)
    D) Other?

      A probably

      Not B, wait a week
