Season Predictions 2015/16 – The View From The Scouts

Welcome to our annual attempt to select the best and worst options in the Fantasy Premier League game and assess how the forthcoming Premier League season will pan out.

Unlike previous attempts, last year saw a number of successful predictions from the Scouts. Granville was correct in predicting a stellar debut season for Diego Costa, Danny Ings and Gylfi Sigurdsson, while Jordan Henderson rewarded my faith in him as a budget midfielder.

Naturally we didn’t get it right all the time and there were some noticeable horror predictions. Andre Schurrle’s departure from Chelsea meant Mark’s guess that he would be the year’s best differential proved ill-fated. Nikica Jelavic, meanwhile, failed to live up to the hype generated by Ryan as being the top scoring budget forward of the year.

Here’s the link if you want to remind yourself just how reliable our soothsaying powers can be.

Hopefully in our latest predictions for the forthcoming Premier League our embarrassing picks will be consigned to the past for good.

Lol maybe. It's all subjective of course. I have Cedric, Hazard, Sakho at the moment. I like the Gomis pick and was in my team at the start but went for Sakho for that extra 0.5

Lost on last page.... Just had a last minute wobble and swapped Lukaku for Wilson, to free up money for Aguero...

    Schmeichel/Butland

    Azpi, Cedric, Cresswell (Richards, Wisdom)

Sterling (C), Walcott, hazard, Sinclair (Wanyama)

    Wilson, Rooney, Pelle.

thought sterling would be a decent shot as most people have hazard or Rooney?

if I have a defense with Kolarov, Koscielny, Cedric and Huth, I could feasibly pick a nobody 4.0m that definitely won't price change but may start in the future (like Oxford) and worry about reshuffling when I wildcard..

Team for first four weeks, then wildcard:-

    Courtois ((McCarthy) !!!

    Mert, Darmian, Cedric (Huth) (STaylor)

    Haz, Wally, Yaya, Cabaye ((Wanyama)

    Rooney (c), Benteke, Defoe

    1.5 in bank

    Any observations appreciated

    RMT

Any thoughts greatly appreciated! Changed my lineup about 10 times today lol

    Hennessey Butland
    Azpilicueta Francis Cedric Huth Martin
    Hazard Tadic Walcott Sterling Ritchie
    Rooney Beneteke Wilson

Could potentially upgrade Tadic to Mane if I drop Ritchie for Sinclair, or even Silva for Sterling. I keep consideirng Pelle instead of Benteke too but just not sure...

Good luck everyone for the season ahead!
