The Community Round Up

After the rollercoaster ride that was double Gameweek 34, the community has barely time to catch breath as it prepares for another round of fixtures and looks towards a further set of double fixtures later in the season. Our community writers and hot topic posters were full of advice to help get the most out of the remaining fixtures, while our Members tables look at players to avoid those to take a punt on. Finally, we see how the six-day Gameweek 34 affected the standings in our community leagues.

The Community Articles

Following their capitulation at home to Tottenham on Monday, Stoke fans are among the most pessimistic heading into the weekend. To find out which other fans are downcast, Bolivian Seaman was on hand with his regular look at the fans forums.

For those playing the Indian Premier League Fantasy game, Juggos kickstarted a new discussion on the competition.

Finally, look out on Monday next week when Lateriser12 will launch a new Rate My Wildcard Team Surgery to help those still with this chip to play. This should also prove useful reading for those looking to scout some good double Gameweek 37 options.

Don’t forget, if you’ve got some analysis, scout reports or features brewing, be sure to visit our community section to submit your article.

The Hottest Topics

With six teams missing a match in Gameweek 35, there are slim pickings for the community’s squads. There was plenty of advice on tackling this limited fixture week in our Gameweek 35 survival guide. Liverpool’s rotation, as they juggle Europa League commitments with the Premier League, is a key problem to navigate as our hot topic on their high-scoring, but too-often-benched stars showed.

A disappointing Gameweek 35 could potentially jeapardise the huge gains in rankings many in the community made from the week’s double fixtures. Among those to do particularly well in Gameweek 34 was La Roja, who breached the 200-point Gameweek score mark, albeit with the help of a couple of points hits. Just 22 other FPL managers managed to beat his tally of 201.

Gameweek 37 sees the next set of double fixtures, and according to Giggs Boson’s look at the key picks for that week, planning needs to start now.

With just four Gameweeks to go, Balders has been taking a look to see how this season’s key players square up to FPL’s all time greats. On current form, he believes it will not be long before Harry Kane joins this elite group.

We also asked for your favourite players of this season so far, which revealed some notable differences in terms of the top scorers and those players who hold a special place in the community’s affections.

Finally Rupert the Horse and AZ revealed some spooky coincidences over the last few seasons in terms of their overall ranks. They insist that they are actually two different people, despite what the rankings say.

The Members Tables

Bbagins79 has been looking at strikers to avoid in his latest table, which focuses on those who have accrued the most bad touches and missed numerous chances in recent weeks.

For those looking for double Gameweek 37 assets, my latest goals imminent table has a number of players to consider who could be on the cusp of a points haul.

If you’re a member and are yet to get to grips with the custom statistics tables, you can view this movie for an explanation of how they work. Also, remember to tag them so that people can find the tables with ease.

In addition, with blanks and double Gameweeks now here it is wise to sort by matches rather than Gameweeks to give a fairer gauge of form,

The Community Tournaments

The Going Out With a Bang, set up by Kings of Lyon to find out how important chips are during the run in, has a new leader. With a Gameweek score of 168 points, Elan Dreasmich is now in first place with Daniel Kemp dropping to second. Elan took advantage of the Bench Boost chip in Gameweek 34, having Wildcarded in Gameweek 32. Further analysis of those riding high in this league can be found here.
