Great to see defenders in the captains poll. Baines should be added for old times Ake.

I'm wildcarding now. It's definitely better than wildcarding just for 1 DGW. And by saving a few transfers and taking a hit or two , I'm pretty sure I will still get 11-12 DGW players.

    Foster
    Alonso, Rose, Jones
    Sanchez, Pogba, Lallana, Phillips
    Ibra, Defoe, Giroud

    (Pickford; Pieters, Capoue, Amat)

Pieters to Baines with my FT and bench Rose(mci)/Jones(sto).

    1. Who is a good choice for 3rd striker ? I have Negredo
    2. Cedric is frustrating me off late with the rotation and lack of clean sheets. Worth moving out for hit ? If yes, who would be a good choice ?
I have 1.4 ITB. Any advice or do I just avoid a hit ?

    Heaton
    Evans-Alonso-Baines
    Sanchez-Eriksen-Philips-Stanislas-Pogba
    Ibra-Lukaku
    Jaku-Negredo-Cedric-Amat

      1. Negredo is an ok pick, prob best option at that price. There are a few cheaper like Crouch or some slightly more like Defoe, Lukaku

      2. no point in taking a hit for a player, you can bench him and do the trade another time

    2. Ten Season Wonder
      • 10 Years
      7 years, 3 months ago

Maybe upgrade Negredo to Gru if you can crowbar that in. but you would need to take a hit if you were to do that this week (plus Gru is an injury doubt)

    Want to WC from this:

    Heaton, Pickford*
    Baines, Evans*, Chambers, Aké*, Amat
Sanchez, Hazard*, Alli, Lallana, De Roon
    Ibrahimovic, Costa*, Defoe

    To this:

    Heaton, JAKUPOVIC
    ALONSO, ROSE, Baines, Chambers, Amat
Sanchez, Alli, Lallana, PHILLIPS, De Roon
    Ibrahimovic, KANE, Defoe

Wanted to wait until after Chelsea's game against Hull, but only have 0.1 to spare. Pickford and Hazard are about to fall (-97.1% and -98.3%) and Jakupovic, Rose and Phillips are all about to rise (99.3%, 95.2% and 96.5%).

Should I need to press the button now?

Got a benching headache as both Phillips and Stanislas have plum home ties.

Currently am thinking to bench Alli, but it doesnt sit quite right as hes in great form. Any suggestions?

    Grant (Jaku)

Chambers - Ake - Evans (Pieters, Amat)

    Sanchez (C) - Phillips - Lallana - Stanislas (Alli)

    Kane - Aguero - Ibra

With all the expertise on this site, I would love some help with this one! It's a pretty big decision for the rest of my season.

My plan with 2 free transfers was to go Benteke + Sigurdsson -> Lukaku + Stanislas.

But my ML leader suddenly wildcarded himself into a team without Sanchez. So now I'm thinking I just have to get him in and captain him. That would be Pogba + Sigurdsson -> Sanchez and De Roon.

Is that better? Sanchez has Burnley and Watford at home, which could be feasts.

Who's your 3rd striker? Presuming Stanislas/De Roon were options for 5th mid?

Agree if your rival is going without Sanchez you could make serious gains in the next two.

I could also spend -4 to do the following

            Pogba -> Sanchez (C)
            Sigurdsson -> Stanislas
Benteke -> Cheaper third striker (like Carroll)

      2. FPL Emu
        • 13 Years

Stanislas would be fifth mid. De Roon would be a temporary cheapie besides Capoue until I can sort that out.

Would play 4-3-3 this week with Baines, Holebas, Smith and McAuley (or Rose if I feel like that)

    3. Jimjam

Common misconception about using the Bench Boost during a DGW... you don't need 15 DGW players, it allows you to play your SGW players with a good fixture, as well as as many DGW players as you can fit.

Pogba -> Coutinho? Not based just in last game where Pogba was poor - hes been good recently. But I don't have Liverpool coverage now. Already have Zlatan in whos most likely to get United goals.

Just wondering whether he'll start - 2 sub appearances. Should have full weeks training. Want to get in Liverpool player with them playing Swansea who are leaking goals.

Good point. Although he probably wont start since its Plymouth - wouldnt be surprised if Klopp plays the same young team.

I usually do wait until day before gameweek so get news of teams and avoid injury risk in midweek (cup) games BUT Coutinho already gone up £0.1m since hes come back. Another £0.2m then I cant afford unless doing some shuffling instead of just straight swap. Hmmm.

I feel with Lukaku being the pinnacle of Everton's attack we may get slightly more from him over the coming weeks.

Whereas Arsenal have Sanchez to rely on... but who knows Giroud is on rather good form also and maybe showing more consistency than Lukaku.

On a wildcard, a bt stuck on defence, I have 9.5 to split between a DF and GK Holgate & Heaton or Amat & Robles? (Alternatively go for Chambers?).

Other defenders are Jaku, Baines, Alonso, Brunt and Jones.

Is anyone looking at Firmino? With Cout back I expect him to return to #9. Could do some serious damage to Swansea and Hull in next 3

As could Coutinho, who is cheaper as well

Coutinho returns means I have a decision to make, see below. Certainly more goals in Liverpool all around now he is back

    Firmino to:

    A. Cout
    B. Alli
    C. Erickson
    D. Save FT

I have not other pool or spurs coverage

You're taking him out before he plays the worst team in the league at home?

Transfer to cout or too sideways?

Would it be kneejerkery of the highest order to do Kane & Baines IN, Aguero & Holebas OUT?

    Would be for a hit.

I know Aguero will inevitably then tear it up vs Spurs, and Kane will blank, but if I do it the week after it'll probably be an expensive delay...

      Coleman > Baines 😀
      Lukaku > Kane 😀

Everton are gonna struggle aren't they, I'm far too confident.

They'll do well, I think. Although Lukaku tends to troll in that way of his by doing well in "hard" fixtures and blanking whenever he has a run of "good" ones.
