After Eden Hazard failed to deliver in Chelsea’s 3-1 win over Huddersfield, eight of the top ten captains in Fantasy Premier League are set to feature over this evening’s seven matches.

All eyes are on Harry Kane as Spurs welcome Brighton to Wembley Stadium – after a weekend home brace against Stoke, he’s the top armband pick for Gameweek 17, with 25.2% of managers handing him the captaincy – his biggest majority of the season so far.

Mohamed Salah is second only to Kane, with 17.8% backing after serving up seven sets of double-digits. Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino are also back on the Liverpool team-sheet, though, after featuring as subs against Everton.

The latter was second only to Kane for transfers in ahead of Tuesday’s deadline – over 197,000 acquired Firmino in the rush to replaced the stricken Alvaro Morata.

Romelu Lukaku, Sergio Aguero and Alexis Sanchez will be hoping that history repeats itself this evening.

Lukaku is toiling for form right now, with a single goal in nine Gameweeks, but scored four at home to tonight’s visitors Bournemouth while at Everton last season.

Aguero, meanwhile, netted twice in Man City’s win at Swansea in 2016/17 – he returns to Pep Guardiola’s XI as Gabriel Jesus takes up bench-warming duties.

Sanchez heads to West Ham, where he ran riot on his way to three goals and an assist in the previous campaign.

Elsewhere, Charlie Austin and Dominic Calvert-Lewin were both subject to significant transfers in ahead of Gameweek 17, with 156,00+ and 172,000+ new owners respectively.

Both have the fixtures to strengthen their claims as budget third strikers.

Austin – with four goals in three starts – hosts a Leicester defence with one away shutout to their name.

Ranked top for points per million, Calvert-Lewin has a goal and three assists in the last four Gameweeks and visits a Newcastle defence that’s conceded an average of three goals per game over their previous five league fixtures.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    There’s one major change to the game this season that I failed to spot in time, and it has helped ruin my season: goalkeepers are suddenly racking up huge scores. They’ve never had such an ability to rack up bonus. DDG is now on 96 points, level with Kane.

    Every other season I’ve always gone cheap in goal, and it has been a good tactic. But this season, it would have paid to invest in DDG - combined with his ownership, if you don’t have him your starting the gameweek 6-10 points down on half the teams.

    I wonder how so many consider buying Richarlison, while an owner like me consider to sell.
    Heard a rumour before this gameweek that he is "due" a rest!
    Why force an injured and tired player??

      Silva said he needs to manage his minutes because he's young and has been playing alot.

      I was about to type on the dugout discussion and say Silva should really take Richarlison off and 10mins later he went off injured. I bet Silva is kicking himself if it turns out to be a long injury

      Pogba as he'll be one of the few player in the league who's 100% fit when he returns and guaranteed 90mins which is what we need. Also United have great fixtures

    Need some help, generally new to this but I'm doing alright in a mini league. Current line up:

    G: de Gea + Forster
    D: Otamendi, Ward, Christensen, Monreal, Daniels
    M: Salah, Mooy, Richarlison, Gross, Coutinho
    F: Kane, Vardy, Hemed

    Ft:1 and Bank: 0.0

    I just subbed in coutinho, and will probably hold him for the weekend, but i'm looking at trading him out for the cheaper silva after this weeks performance. Also looking at transferring in Pope for Forster to save money there.

    With that extra money, I was looking to move out vardy for someone who can occasionally post a double digit week (which he hasn't done since opening week). I'd be saving £0.8 if I switched to silva and £0.3 if switching Pope for forster.

    Really any advice would be awesome. Thanks all.

        That sounds decent, and yeah most likely.

        Other option is switching De Gea for pope and Forster for someone as cheap as adrian in coming weeks to save even more. Only issue is Burnley has a rough schedule in the coming month with spurs, man U, and liverpool in coming weeks and don't know if I should lean on him that hard. Man u's schedule is pretty nice for december and january as I see it.

      I’ve got the same headaches although with Ward instead of Mee. Will do Ward, Kiko or Daniels to Jones this week, depending on the pressers. Niasse out could be worth a hit, not decided yet.

    have a 1000 problems to tackle. Going many punts in 2-3 consecutive gw's has been a disaster. I will stick with the important players who generate constant points for now and do 1 punt max in my team.
