Looks to have some decent fixtures, especially GW28 when there could be holes in your team?

No probs, Arsenal Man City Man United Chelsea could all possibly have no game in the worst case scenario.
Alternatively the worst case scenario of 4 teams blanking could work very well for people who plan well for it....in limbo at the moment until next week to be honest.

i think maguire is too expensive for a defender from a non top 6 team
honestly, i wouldnt bother playing defenders from these teams just try to get jones/stones etc. at least thats what i have been doing for the past two seasons
Tempted by Jones as I can just afford him. But seems to be adding to GW28 issue if the worst happens. Got Otamendi so Stones not really for me.
I agree though, Maguire is a bit pricey for what he does; the odd clean sheet, the odd attacking return.

You can use the Transactions tab to make requests for swapping your players on ‘waivers’. The waivers deadline is usually 24 hours before the Gameweek deadline and any requests that you make will be processed in turns. The order will be based on the draft order before the first deadline, then once the season starts, the lowest placed in the league will get first pick. Please see the section in the rules around ‘Transactions’ for more information.

Unfortunately not. They need a mechanism to show what transfers are completed. And also the process of the draft waiver (including order) each week. Preferably animated. All in one place.

Well the games GW28 atm are Chelsea vs United and Arsenal vs City. I have 3 City players, 2 United and 1 Chelsea but 0 Arsenal. So best case I lose 3, worst case I lose 6.

You have at least 4 free transfers if you used it this GW already.
Loss of value for people having to sell the likes of Sterling, Jones, Otamendi, DDG, Chelsea defs etc seems to be main issue, along with people with already bench full of fodder.
You'll bench the players you want the next week so Sterling, Chelsea def, Otamendi /Jones and DDG.
Gives you a free shot(-4) if needed to fix fodder. You would play short otherwise so get some of the hit back straight away.
Yep, I guess key is not to end up with about 7 players from the big teams who possibly blank and a bench full of dross by consequence.
I’m tempted by Jones for Kabasele but that would give me 6 potential blankers plus Quaner on the bench. Need to start a Plan A and Plan B, and even a Plan C this week!
People simply won’t sell those players, we saw that with Salah when injured for a week. Add in the weak benches and people are struggling to field much more than 8 or 9 players with their dross included, or reverting to perhaps an ill advised FH.
Going to be interesting if Chelsea and City go through 🙂
Think I will save FH and try and minimise any potential damage by planning ahead, benching players with equity and taking the odd hit to get something resembling a decent side out.

Yeah I've just came up with a way to make sure I have 11 players out for GW28 in my worst case scenario (with Chelsea winning and Man City winning). It would require me to do Sterling > Alli/Eriksen/Son GW27 and then Aguero, Alonso > Spurs def, Firmino GW28. Would leave me with this squad for GW28

You only need to sell 3 for a full team, and you'll get FTs, and the choice of taking hits or simply fielding 10 men instead. No big trouble here, don't worry, just plan.

Do we think the end of Messi Lingard as an fpl option in sight? United probably signing someone and well it's not like Lingard was ever nailed long term.
I think it was arguably too late to buy Lingard last week, the time was 5-6 weeks ago. Same thing happened with Richarlison, a few of us had him for his good stretch, then he became part of the template (and even a captaincy option one week, with a few people getting 2x1) and he fell out of fashion quickly.
Yea agree, have had him for 3/4 weeks now and have been advising people not to bring him in before this gw.

If you want reliability below 7m I think West Ham is the way to go. Slightly annoyed I ignored them because I like both of Arnie and Lanzini as FPL options. Ironically I tried to not get caught up in the DGW which proved to be the right choice, but now realised they both have good fixtures.

Could you afford Arnau or Lanzini instead of Lingard? I know his form is fantastic, but Sanchez's possible arrival and immediate fixtures lessen his appeal a little. I could see United putting 3 in the centre with Pogba given license to roam against Spurs too
