Drafting my wildcard now. It feels like madness selling either Kane or Vardy after having them all season. Or is it madness to have both heading into the DGW? Third striker is Aguero.

While I ponder it over, I may just get rid of the players I have no qualms about selling to try and catch a few rises tonight. Then wait until tomorrow before making any bigger decisions.

      Is that wise?

Vardy yes, unsure about Kane yet considering the form he's in - and the selling value I'd lose.

would get rid of vardy and kane.

Would rather have Martial at 7.6 who has 1 extra game left plus 3 home games against Villa, Palace, Bournemouth and away to Norwich. Can use the 2m elsewhere.

The only single gameweek players I am considering are Fuchs etc. who probably have better value than a cp or newcastle defender.

since you are wildcarding, every 0.1 mill counts. at 10m if kane scores 50 the remainder of the season, martial only needs to score 38 to match him for value.

Couldn't decide between Bellerin and Gabriel or Bellerin and Iwobi. Went with Gabriel as there are some decent dgw substitutes for Iwobi. Hard to find quality dgw defenders.

Rookie question: you make multiple transfers tonight and hit confirm, and activate your WC later in the week do the hits still count?

no hits get wipped off after WC

but one thing is your opp can see you have activated WC after your transfer disappear

Having a big dilema with the defence for the old WC

I like the look of these front fellows...

    Payet - Mahrez - KdB - Sanchez - Coutinho

    Lukaku - Kane - Aguero

The defensive combo left to arrange is

    A.

    Darlow - Cech

    Sakho - Gabriel - Delaney - Oxford - Saylor

    B

    Darlow - Robles

    Sakho - Gabriel - Delaney - Rojo - Saylor

I know Saylor is done but he enables the rest of the team and possibly plays in 35... I also have the All out attack chip in my arsenal which could be of use in 35, especially with those attacking lads

Rojo isn't nailed (subbed at HT today).

I say B but instead of rojo/saylor do chester for gw 35 (and dgw 34 cover) and one from ake, fosu-mensah (just as punty as rojo imo) or van aanholt.

Better (but i assume against your instinct) is dumping kane for a martial/mitrovic/deeney/ighalo etc. and upgrading the defence a little to better arsenal and some west ham/everton. Would likely give you less of a benching headache too.

      My twenty two cents.

He was poor vs saints, might get a game but not enough to be worthwhile, Moreno and Lovren both far more nailed and only 0.3 and 0.4 more.

I've been a pretty steady player all season, taking only a few calculated risk but minimal punts and have built a rank of 22K. But I think it's now time to take the gamble, hold my nerve and go against the grain in an attempt to climb up the ranks and win my ML.

I'm sticking with the WC 36 plan. Only thing that can change that now is if Sanchez is ruled out for a few weeks.

Going with 11 on GW34 (No Wildcard), would you:
    1) Triple Capi Alexis, or

    Recommendations???

    1. Postman Ty
      • 9 Years
      8 years, 2 months ago

I would probably go TC Sanchez. Leicester won't be hitting big numbers anymore in attack, Hennessy is highly unlikely to get any clean sheets, and it doesn't take much advantage of DGWs or good fixtures.

  17. Postman Ty
    • 9 Years

WC team, don't see any other changes being made. Critiques welcome to try and sway me!

    DDG - Mignolet
    Sakho - Fuchs - Bellerin - Gabriel - Reid
    Bolasie - Mahrez - Sanchez - Coutinho - Lennon
    Aguero - Pelle - Lukaku

    GW34 Bolasie --> Wijnaldum
GW36 Mahrez, Fuchs --> Payet, Watford Defender
    GW37 Pelle --> Martial

I'm happily willing to take the punt on Pelle for his run of New, eve, avl because he could easily hit double digits for all 3 games.
Coutinho could change to Firmino depending on my mood and his news.
Wijnaldum has really good fixtures and best fits the structure and pricing I need.

        8 years, 2 months ago

That means no keeper in GW35. Originally had Cech-Robles but had to swap Rojo for DDG for security.
As for Mitrovic I am really skeptical of a double-up on Newcastle attack and I don't have anyone to replace Wij. Plus he's apparently not guaranteed every start.

        1. Polo

Can't add more GW35 blanks, and just seems like a bit of a pointless keeper downgrade.
Now that you mention it tho I could potentially do Darlow and Firmino.
Don't love the idea of getting 2 from Darlow from each game.

for those looking at Man Utd defence, the hamstring injury to Blind could see Fosu-Mensah now partnered alongside Smalling.

Thoughts on my draft wildcard team? I say draft because I'm still deciding on a few players (Kane, Vardy, Mahrez) and don't want to be rash in getting rid of them right now. Still could possibly catch a couple of price rises tonight I guess. Thanks for the help all, by the way.

Well, it's hard to comment on an incomplete team. Darmian and Gabriel are not totally nailed on; although they are likely to get most it is not certain they will get both in the DGW. Dawson is a risk just because they have bad fixtures. The real problem is, as you say, do you drop those old faithfuls: I say you should, and just construct the team that looks like getting the most points in GW34 and GW35. If you must keep a non-DGWer to have 11 in 35, then keep one, but don't fear to let them go, as they are not the only players capable of scoring.

Yep, it feels odd letting go of someone like Vardy after having him for nearly the entire season. But you are right in that they aren't the only one's who can score points.

And I suppose, after this wildcard, money becomes slightly less of a concern?

I have a confusing benching dilemma next week - what would you guys do??

    Option A - Bench Martial
    Option B - Bench Ozil
    Option C Bench Payet
Option D - Use AOA chip??

    Robles Mignolet

    Simpson Sakho Bellerin Koscielny Rojo

    Mahrez Bolasie Barkley Payet Ozil

    Aguero Lukaku Martial??

I would bench Martial purely based on fixtures but it could go either way..

Feel like I cant have no player from Leicester against Sunderland, Morgan and Mahrez. Maybe better to go all in with 15 DGW players instead for benchboost GW34?

No love for Rashford? Personally I'd go him over Martial. Nice enabler. Like my team a lot with Rashford in it.

I might, but currently have Deeney in active WC, what do you think of him?

Not a fan myself. Would rather have Rashford than Deeney/Ighalo.

Rooney not back soon to take his mins? As soon as that happens you'll need major surgery as there's no one at Rasford's price you can easily swap him for

Yea, this is the concern. But for me United don't score enough goals to justify having Martial over Rashford.

Hope we'll hear some news about Rooney before the weekend.

      im thinking the same

just worried about roonpig tea,m news

tbh MU dont score goals anyway even against easy team at home so why pay 7-8m when can spend 4.5m

Did you ever see the only fools and horses episode when they've become millionaires and they go back to the old empty flat to pick up a few things, and the phone rings, it's one of Dels old business acquaintances, he offers Del a good deal, Del Boy starts haggling, before it suddenly occurs to him that he's "no longer in the game". That's how I feel now, been chasing price rises and watching the market since day one. Now have nothing to chase SV/TV wise.

Like to see the whole team to judge, but I would say B with Milner instead of Barkley. My problem with A is the two defenders, who do not promise much for GW34.
