Wood Clinches Sky Sports Title

Having revealed that one of the Fantasy Football Scout league, Dimitri Nicolaou, emerged triumphant in the Fantasy Premier League (FPL), we can also confirm that Alan Wood was the runaway winner in the Sky Sports Fantasy Football game.

Alan has led from the front for a number of months now and finally sealed his place at the summit, with his team “Atum Forest FC” clinching an astonishing 106-point advantage over his nearest challenger in second spot. Congratulations to Alan, who earns a handy £20,000 for his endeavours in 2015/16.

Fantasy Football Scout supplied three of the top six managers in the Sky Sports game. Jonathan Bancroft took third spot, just five points shy of second, and resultantly earns £1,000. Dexter Hayes, meanwhile, sat in sixth on 2429 points – just nine points behind Jonathan.

In the FFScout league, Trevor Fricker (13th overall) and Barry Grimes (14th) helped complete the top five. Thanks to the endeavours, we successfully defended our crown in the “League of Leagues”, which comes with a £2,000 prize – the top five managers in the Fantasy Football Scout table will each receive £400 as a reward.

Look out for an interview with Alan over the next few days as he discusses his successful campaign.

Awful 2nd half performance. Didn't deserve to win. Forget about the decisions.

Hard luck to Pool, enjoyed seeing a PL team taking the Europa more seriously than a run out for reserve players.

Doesn't make for great reading but he brought them hope to a certain extent.. a lot of their fans getting carried away an getting above their stations calling him "great" for a long time now.. Mourinho Pep Ancellotti etc are great managers he doesn't come close but he's realtively new on the scene.. there is a lot of potential there..

Klopp flopped hard today, what did he say to the team at HT, his subs were dreadful

Firmino and coutinho are frauds, they didn't show up when it matters

Only players to come out with any dignity was sturridge and toure and both will leave end of the season

I disagree. Liverpool will benefit from not being in Europe domestically. They should have been out of sight at half time, in fairness. Particularly poor from the officials not to spot the early hand ball.

I don't think that was a penalty for the handball, but it was a penalty, doesn't win the ball and steps across taking Firmino out inside he box. Lots of awful decisions from that ref, though largely the major ones were called right.

One of their players has their arms out like a keeper, stoops lower and stops the ball on the edge of the box.

I think the sad thing is they aren't that good, they shouldn't have had it as easy in the second half as they did, its just they changed their tactics and got it right. This happened 2 months ago vs Southampton, its almost a carbon copy of that game, seizing he midfield and having free reign over our back four.
