Assessing Shakespeare’s Leicester City

Leicester City’s decision to part company with Claudio Ranieri back in late February came in for some harsh criticism at the time yet the impact under Craig Shakespeare has forced a sharp reassessment of the Foxes’ potential.

Four straight wins in all competitions, scoring three times in their trio of Premier League matches since the Italian left the King Power Stadium, bodes well ahead of back-to-back home encounters with Stoke and Sunderland and a trip to Crystal Palace in the next four rounds of fixtures.

With that in mind, we take a look at the Foxes’ displays since Ranieri was relieved of his duties as Fantasy Premier League managers consider a short-term move for their in-form assets.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Anyone fancy helping me work out my rivals transfers?

He's got rid of Kane and Coleman for a striker and defender worth 16.2, possibly 16.3.

Other defenders are Luiz Valencia Fonte and Fuchs, strikers are Lukaku and Gabbi. He hasn't put Bertrand in

Hmm it could actually be Vardy and Alonso, although it would mean triple Chelsea defence as he has Courtois as well.

        Cheers

    Siggy-Eriksen-King-Manè-Snoddgrass
    Lukaku-Costa(c)

    Heaton-Barnes-Chambers-Yoshida

Is it ludacris do do a -4 for:
    A: Sanchez in for Manè

I'd find another route to Sanchez next week - Siggy perhaps? Hold Mané for BOU. If WP makes that possible then it's not a bad shout this week.

I get that, but if I do it the way you are suggesting, im still 1mill short for Siggy to Sanchez. And I think Siggy is so consistent, while Pool are not..! WP would free cash for Costa to Kane/Ibra in the DGW's and be a cheap way in to Saints midfield, with 11 games in 9GW's...is it that bad?

Haha, no worries mate! I'm not one to be easily offended 😉 Thanks, the Coleman injury turned out to be a blessing in disguise for me, made it way easy to get in Valencia. (not fan of player getting injured tough!). My long term plan for GW34 would be something like this:

Sanchez in for Mané (happy now?) 😉
            Sterling in for Siggy
            Ward P in for Snoddy
            Ibra in for Costa

And the rest of the team more or less the same guys...feels to me like an ok plan, agree?

90pts behind in one cash league & 140 odd in another. What to do?

    A) Coleman & Antonio > Valencia & Pedro for -4

    B) Coleman, Antonio & Kun > Toby, Alli & Vardy (c) for -8?

*Can't do any players in B) without removing Kun

Literally have no idea who to replace Coleman with.

Have Alonso, Maguire, Olsson and Brunt.

Any chance Coleman won't drop tonight and I'll get an extra day to think (and some Pressers)?

If you're worried about rotation then Vertonghen is a nice safe 'value' pick.

I see Jonty has made a transfer already. So much for saying he's ignoring the price changes and only doing his transfers on Friday night/Saturday morning...

It maybe more to do with having funds for other transfers. He mentioned it on the scoutcast.

Thoughts appreciated. I want to downgrade Coleman to a defender costing 4.3 or less so I can upgrade Antonio to Alli. Which one do you like:
    (a) Holgate or
    (b) Yoshida or
    (c) Stephens or
    (d) another option I've not considered.

    Thanks.

Ok guys which one would you recommend:

    A) Coleman to Valencia. Simple.
    B) Coleman to Cedric (Allows Cout, Kun to Sanchez and Ibra next week)
    C) Coleman and Baines to Valencia and Yoshida -4. (Allows Sig, Kun to Sanchez and Ibra next week)

    Cheers

    Bertrand-Baines- Valencia

King- Siggy - Sanchez - Couty - Mane

    Lukaku- Llorente

    (ward, amat, rondon)

I have the money for Rondon--> Vardy and then drop King to bench but is Spurs midfield more important. I really should keep Liverpool mids for BOU and siggy and sanchez are fairly fixture proof right?

Vardy or Spur mid the priority??

    cheers guys

    What would you do guys?

    Jaku
    Alonso Valencia Coleman*
    Mane Siggy Coutinho Alli King
    Lukaku Aguero

    Subs: Valdes Olsson Pieter Crouch

Was thinking Coleman to Walker but Olsson looks like a good pick as well for this week. Another option is Aguero and Coutinho to Vardy and Sanchez (-4)

Sanchez in for Antonio for -4 hit, would be benching Barkley or Sterling?

Yes but he tends to hold back letting Toby get fwd and prone to the odd yc. He's a much better option when Toby isn't playing

    Opinions on these please lads?

    A. Coleman > Walker
    B. Coleman/Sterling > Vertonghen/Alli -4
    C. Aguero/Coleman > Vardy/Walker -4
    D. Aguero/Sterling/Coleman > Vardy/Walker/Alli -8

Sorry if it looks a bit confusing

B for me. Alli is a must have! Not sure I would want to get rid of Aguero for a hit. He always scores against Arsenal too.

Yeah I agree in regards to Aguero. Something tells my Vardy(c) will be an excellent option this week

          Mmm.. Possibly.

But if Aguero scores (likely), then Vardy would need to score at least two to make it worthwhile. I suppose, it also comes down to whether medium term prospects for Vardy are better than Aguero (haven't scouted the fixtures yet)
