The 2016/17 season comes to a close this afternoon, with all 10 Gameweek 38 matches getting underway at 3pm.

We’re spoilt for choice in terms of armband options for the final round of fixtures, with the top three players in this week’s Captain Poll – Alexis Sanchez, Harry Kane and Philippe Coutinho – are serving up their highest hauls of the season in Gameweek 37.

Kane’s four-goal blitz at the King Power takes him two ahead of his nearest challenger Romelu Lukaku for the Golden Boot, while Sanchez welcomes Everton on the back of three successive double-figure tallies.

Throw in champions Chelsea at home to relegated Sunderland (Eden Hazard and Diego Costa both start) and Man City’s trip to a decimated Watford defence and it’s fair to say that goals look very much on Sunday’s agenda.

So sit back and enjoy the frantic next couple of hours’ action – it won’t be until August 12 before domestic action comes back our way again.

    Well done everyone and I hope you had enjoyable seasons. This has been a tough one. Hope to still see some of you on here over the summer, if only for the Eliteserien.

    Won both my MLs and got my highest rank ever (just short of top10k--around 12k) mainly because I started following this chat. It, almost immediately, gave me the edge over my rivals. Thank you all so much for the priceless insight; it made all the difference and I owe my ML victories to all of you.
    This season, when I started following the chat in January, I decided to be a passive participant simply because my 4 past seasons have all been very mediocre (except my 1st one where I prolly got beginner's luck and finished 14k) and hence I wasn't confident my insights would be productive lol.
    Now with this sick season under my belt, I will be much more active next season. Again, thank you all very very very much and see u next year lads....

    Morality question..

    It was posted on here that King had ruled himself out. Is it right that the info (I'm guessing passed on by Mark) was then messaged to the masses by FPL?

          Why, are you saying you disagree with Opta when it comes to him completing those passes, creating those chances, winning those duels etc etc?
          Or are you simply choosing GW 38, the last GW, to complain about the same system we've had for the whole season (and further back)?

        Fix now has me at 1,040.

        The Koscielny red card will have cost me dearly if that's the case. Koscielny on wildcard instead of Monreal had already screwed me. Today compounds it.

        Still happy with the rank of course, doubt I'll get that close again though 🙂

          Feel your exact pain with Kos. A killer. I went Sane today over Cesc/Pedro and forgot to do Cab over Cech in goal. Think I might miss by 2 points so all those things have cost me. Really hope we pull it off.

        Brilliant! Forget Kane, Hazard, Sanchez, et al, history will tell us that this season's most explosive midfielder/forward was Joshua Harrop and Demetri Mitchell (wtf!) earned that accolade in the defenders rankings.
