Who decided to bench Estu? Or Steele?

In a double gw, its always a risk benching a dgw player even if the one you are starting is a proved asset.

Easy to say "should have started the DGW players!", but I'm over here wishing I'd started Shaw instead of Botman.

Got Shaw and Pinnock on the bench.

Bloody Trippier stinking up my starting XI.

Sarcasm of course. If Trippier were to even fart I'd sink in the rankings for benching in a DGW.

Have Trippier as well. He still has 1 game to go so its not the end of his points.

Started Estu but have Mee on the bench and double Newcastle in Schar and Trips - overall good week so far (70pts post bonuses) but could have been better !

Going to be pretty lost on what to do next week after that. Have 2FT and sold Stones to be able to bring in KDB but really doubting he plays twice if the title can be wrapped up by the first game, especially with Pep probably wanting to give Alvarez more minutes

True...a lot to consider. I have Stones and who knows if he'll play.
Haaland wants his record so I presume he will start all the games?

Anyone else annoyed that Ederson ended up with more points than Raya despite fewer saves and playing in a higher scoring game?

A bit more by Pope ending up with the joint highest GK score this weekend - a keeper saving a penalty and conceding 2-3 other goals will often outscore a GK who keeps a CS

      1. gart888
        • 9 Years

This actually bothers me less. Saving a penalty is the keeper equivalent of scoring a goal. At least he did something! Ederson just stood around.

What does this result mean for City assets now?

Haaland to get rotated in one of the DGW37 games? Alvarez a better option?

I feel like it's kind of doing Haaland dirty not letting him push the single season goal record higher. I think he keeps starting as long as he's fully fit.

Haaland should be safe. Think it'll be the B team in the league while the likes of Grealish and KDB are wrapped in cotton wool.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Ederson given another rest too.

Let's face it, if they beat Real, they're likely to wipe the floor with Inter or Milan.

I think Haaland plays but De Bruyne gets mothballed.

He was incredibly streaky, goals scored from just 1-2 shots on target. But he's always involved in creating chances and been a tad wasteful in front of goal.

      Man City striker 52 goals
      Arsenals striker 10 goals

That’s the difference, but Haaland is on £800k a week.

Anyone that says otherwise is mistaken.

        Look at the last seven:
        Arsenal W2 D3 L2
        City..... W7.

They will go down as having led the longest workout winning the Premier League. If they conceive themselves that it's still a good season, they can kiss goodbye to winning the title the next few seasons.

Even after having a fantastic gw so far, with 78 points and many to go yet, Arsenal loss and capitulation is painful even after accepting the verdict after earlier city win.

We go next season. Hopefully we bring in few world class players to help us move to the next level.

Agree. Although I don't see many being rested in the second of 37 and 38 (two weeks between Chelsea and the FA Cup final is almost too long for a rest) so I guess you have to accept 37 is a single, but against Chelsea at home with the chance to win the league is still a nice fixture. Second game is a bonus if it happens

For me it's a fun way that adds to my enjoyment of the league (but then, as a United fan, not had much to enjoy in recent years). If it's taking over and not enjoyable, step away. You might find you miss it and come back with new perspective if you miss it, or never come back if you don't

After the Ivan Zamorano lookalike won Eurovision last night, I knew that Brighton's South American contingent were going to smash it today. Just a shame mac10 didn't fancy getting involved in the points!

Still worth having 3 city players for the DGW as they are nearly Champions already and have CL in addition?

Maby Haaland is enough and maby the most nailed, except from Ederson?

Only have Haaland, was planning a hit to get 3 City players. But now think 2 should be enough.

Strong 11 in 37 Vs Chelsea, give that strong 11 a week off against Brighton, strong 11 Vs Brentford to keep momentum into the final (or finals...)

CL final isn't until the 10th June so it shouldn't affect any minutes even if they do get through.

Very much under the radar in the shadow of Toney but he’s been good for points which too often are languishing on my bench

Odds on Alvarez starting both games on GW37?

Rashford owners holding you moving on?

Same ? Dalot owners, had his rest but has he been dropped?

Unless there has been more news, I'd hold. It's a great double for him if he plays.

Dalot is hard one. Seems AWB is back favourite but using a transfer to shift and be wrong is probably a luxury move

Holding unless ruled out for the season. Even if he misses both dgw37 games but fit for gw38, I'd still want him for the last game against Fulham at home

    Allegedly:
    Sell?
    ◉ Moisés Caicedo
    ◉ Alexis Mac Allister

    Keep?
    ◎ Kaoru Mitoma
    ◎ Pervis Estupiñán

Roberto De Zerbi was honest about Brighton's place in the transfer market this summer.

De Zerbi asked about Undav saying he showed them a Michael Jordan video.

De Zerbi: "Undav speaks too much

De Zerbi: "We will lose some players, maybe Caicedo or maybe Mac Allister. We need to bring in some other good players. For Mitoma and Estupinan, they need to stay with us I don't know if they are ready to play with big teams. You have to be ready in the head and we can offer them the chance to improve."

I think De Zerbi speaks too much!
