Hello hombres, been away for a week. Anything happened in my absence? Rises, falls? How is this looking?

    De Gea, Gilks
    Terry, Pieters, Taylor, Hutton, Wisdom
    Mata, Ramsey, Sterling, Sigurdsson, Marney
    Costa, Rooney, Adebayor

0 FT, Nothing in the bank

      Welbeck is a thing now.

Costa, Sturridge are injury concerns of varying degrees.

      Sterling is essential.

      Yaya can still jog on.

Costa is almost certain to play. Pricing is all screwed up, noone can changes predict effectively. I've read that Wisdom may be at risk of not starting. Rooney continues to be a dissapoinment.

Finally, get rid of Mata asap. My suggestion Mata > Fab

Sorry about the repost from last night, but only received one reply... 🙂

Is the WC team below going to cause me too many benching dilemmas?

    Krul / Elliot
    Ivanovic / Moreno / Shawcross / Clyne / Wisdom
    Tadic / Ramsey / Sterling / Siggy / Boyd
    Falcao / Costa / Welbeck

Could have Hazard/Fabregas and PVA instead of Tadic and Ivan...

    Cheers all! 😀

Id probably get Hazard. Your defence is still pretty solid without Ivan... Also watch Falcao news, word is he might start from bench and Rooney still better option for now

As long as you have a plan for changing your pricey defensive players when form/fixtures change for them, I think you are all set.

I have such a soft spot for him, figuring out how to work him into my team! Once Stoke/Uniteds fixtures take a turn for the worse, then is the time to switch to City and Arsenal!

So I'm off to New York for a week, will this do? Quite happy to take the hit if needed.
I'm aware my defence is terrible, and that I have a few injury concerns.

    Krul
    Coloccini, Clyne, Ferdinand,
    Lamela, Fabregas, Sterling, Ramsey,
    Costa, Jovetic, Rooney

Would you rather have a £4.5m 5th Mid and Balotelli or a £7.6m 5th mid and Welbeck?

Happy with the rest of the team in all positions so this is the last decision I think!

    1. Siva Mohan
      • 11 Years
      9 years, 9 months ago

You would find it hard choosing one among £7.6m 5th mid and Welbeck every week.

I would choose a nailed on solid attacker thou!

Don't feel like you have to spend all your money just because it's there. Get whichever of Balotelli or Welbeck you prefer and get a 5th mid that makes sense (hint: spending 7.6m on a 5th mid doesn't make sense).

If you prefer Welbeck, then get him and save the cash for a hit-free trade in the future.

      1. Ady87
        • 10 Years
        9 years, 9 months ago

This is a good point. I left myself short on cash a couple of times last season.

With Sturridge out Balotelli is going to need to be the man for the next fortnight and Welbeck's fixtures, despite my opinion he is a big game player, are just too much of a risk.

I think in this case I will start Balotelli against Villa and look at bringing Welbeck to the team in a few weeks.

That's my plan too. I'm worried that Welbeck will get off to a flyer despite the fixtures but Mario ought to do well.

Plain and simple, Welbeck, Naismith or Eto'o? Please attach some reasoning to it. I'm tempted by Eto'o, but it's just a feeling cause he is overlooked and unlike the other two, he once was top worldstriker. And I mean TOP.

    1. Siva Mohan
      • 11 Years
      9 years, 9 months ago

Lukaku injured.. Eto'o for now.. but how long will he be nailed on? when is Lukaku expected back?

I would choose Naismith and watch Welbeck for couple of games..

      Morning all,

Down to these options - whatcha reckon? A) looks the go-to move if Costa and Jovetic are both fit, but that's not looking too likely....

      A) Sanchez & Bony -> Sterling & Costa (4 points)

      B) Ramsey/Sanchez, Bony & Jovetic -> Sterling, Costa & Welbeck (8 points)
[if losing Sanchez I'd have 1.4m for a Chambers/Rooney upgrade next week]

      C) Terry, Ramsey & Jovetic -> 4.8m, Sterling & Costa (8 points)

      D) Chambers, Sanchez & Jovetic -> 4.1m, Sterling & Costa (8 points)

      Krul, Elliot
      Terry, Clyne, Chambers, Wisdom, Hutton
      Sanchez, Hazard, Ramsey, Siggy, Albrighton
      Rooney, Bony, Jovetic
      Bank 0.4m

      Welbeck.

Arsenal No.9 with little competition for the next 3 months.

If Giroud was 6.9m at the start of the season he would have 90%+ ownership.

That defence is aids, and not the good kind.

Re jig to lose Falcao and spread some over the back, United have only had a week and a bit to sort their form, and with all their new players, that will take some time to say the least.

    Can't decide what to do:

    a) Begovic in goal - leaves .1 itb
    b) Krul in goal - leaves .6 itb

    a) means doing Moreno to a 4.0 (already have Duff) to do Naismith to Welbeck
    b) means I can do Moreno to a 4.5 to free up the funds

I would happily keep Naismith for two weeks at least, and think Begovic is a stronger shout than Krul.

    Thoughts please

RVP could be if those knee rumours are true

I reckon he's heading for a 4-3-3 so Mata could play in the hole with Rooney and the two new lads in from of him.

      ------------ Mata ------------
      Rooney -------------- ADM
      ----------- Falcao -----------

With Rooney and ADM able to interchange.

    Rate My WC Team

    McGregor
    Dier, Monero, Shawcross, Clyne
    Sterling, Di Maria, Ramsey
    Naismith, Falcao, Costa

    Subs: Myhill, Siggy, Ramerez, Wisdom

I am undecided over formation so the 4-3-3 is not concrete. Opinions anybody?

This week I wouldn't with that defence. The 2-3 weeks after that he should be first on the team sheet though.

I would have Fab over Hazard regardless.

I would leave ADM in the team.

Cheers. leaves me with 0.7 ITB. cant seem to find anyone i wanna replace zaha for, for under 7.5 (tadic) and my defence wont get much better for it. just save it?

He's 4.3 for a reason. Until he starts, not worth thinking about.

What gives you reason to think he will play having not done so so far?

He played on World cup and the rest of the Stoke defence not

Well I don't share your optimism he is clearly not first choice at the moment and won't get a look in off the back of a clean sheet against City

Which option do you think is best out of:

    A. PVA & Ivanovic

    Or

    B. Moreno & Cahill

    ?

      B for me.

Combining the scores I think B will outscore A.
