The Fantasy Football Scout Leagues Round-Up

The current lull in domestic matters affords us time to pause and assess the Scout leagues in a variety of Fantasy games. With leagues in Fantasy Premier League (FPL), Ultimate Fantasy Premier League, Sky Sports and the Fantasy iTeam (FiT) Champions League game, there is much for us to analyse:

Fantasy Premier League

Milan Mihajlovic sits atop the Scout League with a total of 462 points after the first seven Gameweeks. Having already played his wildcard, he’s opted for big-hitters Diego Costa and Sergio Aguero up front along with Romelu Lukaku, whilst in midfield, the likes of Angel di Maria, Gylfi Sigurdsson and Raheem Sterling have been crucial to his ascent up the rankings. Intriguingly, Milan – who is second overall – has only one defender priced at 5.0 or over, Southampton’s Ryan Bertrand.

Maciek takes second spot after a Gameweek 7 score of 64 points. He’s tripled up on Chelsea trio Branislav Ivanovic, Cesc Fabregas and Costa and also has the likes of Di Maria, Sterling and Sigurdsson in the centre of the park. Up top, though, he’s opted for Radamel Falcao and Danny Welbeck on his way to 455 points, or 14th overall.

In third position is Stephen Hourie, who has also racked up 455 points so far. His inspired decision to captain Di Maria earned him 70 points in Gameweek 7, whilst the likes of Costa, Sterling, Sigurdsson and Fabregas all chipped in with returns. Intriguingly, he’s opted for Welbeck and Leonardo Ulloa up top, allowing him to acquire big-hitters Ivanovic and Leighton Baines at the back.

Fourth-placed Craig Ellis is a new entry to the Scout League. He also has a number of the usual suspects – Costa, Di Maria, Sigurdsson, Fabregas and Sterling – though placed his faith in a couple of differentials last week, with James Tomkins and Jamie Vardy both helping him up to 24th overall, on 451 points.

Peter Chesley completes the top five on 450 points. After a slight fall last weekend, he’ll be hoping Southampton trio Ryan Bertrand, Dusan Tadic and Graziano Pelle can take advantage of the upcoming five fixtures and fire him back up the leaderboard.

Thanks to our top five, we have retained our spot at the top of the League of Leagues, as we look to retain our crown once again. To join up, the code is 11856-4526.

Peter Chesley also impresses in our Members league and leads the way, whilst Marc Wilcox is second on 439 points and Charles Garnier third on 438 points.

Ultimate Fantasy Premier League

Joe Connolly is the new leader of the UFPL Scout League. He racked up 94 points last time around and moves onto 570 points for the season, enough to earn him fifth spot in the overall standings. Lee C drops into second on 565 points, or 12th overall, whilst Lee Fricker climbs into third on 564 points, enough to take 16th spot thus far. To join our UFPL league, the code is 524-87.

Sky Sports Fantasy Football

Stephen Lambert is the current Scout league leader, after racking up 537 points in the first few Gameweeks. Stephen sits 17th in the overall standings and is just three points ahead of Ashley Rastrick, who is second in our league, and 21st overall, with third placed Jack McKenna sitting on 533 points, earning him 22nd spot in the overall standings so far. The winner of our Sky league, which is also top in the league of leagues, wins £1,000. To join up, the league name is FFScout and the code is 8009000.

Champions League

Our official Champions League game this season is the Fantasy iTeam (FiT) offering – a free, reliable and easy-to-use Fantasy football app. After two rounds of Matchdays, Matt Parsons heads the Scout Legaue with 162 points, though he’s closely followed by Daniel Lord (160 points) and Waleed Cherif on 159 points. There’s an iPad mini on offer to the winner – the league name is Fantasy Football Scout and the pin is 11155.

We’ve set up another league for those brave souls willing to place their faith in the official Champions League game. There’s just three points separating our top three in this competition – rahmanok leads the way on 142 points, closely followed by gkalaf and Pavlle on 141 and 140 points respectively.

Settled, as in its a WC team? If so, no reason to go Cahill over Azpi - less bonus potential, similar attacking potential, more expensive. Unless you see Luis starting in the league in the near future, I guess.

Nice! Not sure how far you are into your career, but buy Berardi from Juventus.

Bought him for only 3 million (quite a high salary though) and he is currently a 90 (!!!!) after 5 seasons. Absolute gem.

    Any advice?

    Bego - Gilks

    Clyne - Wisdom - Bruce - Cahill - PVA

    Fab - Sterling - ADM - Fraulin(?!) - Siggy

    Costa - Pelle - Welbeck

1 FT - 3,6 in the bank - WC active

Im really want Aguero as soon as possible, but I dont know if he is worth the money now.. If I go for Aguero I need to use my WC and rotet a lot.. (?)

So Im considering to just do Bruce -> Baines and just see what happends with Pelle, Welbeck and Aguero.

    Any thoughts?

    Squad is currently:

    Begovic
    Krul
    Moreno
    Clyne
    N Taylor
    Duff
    Moore
    Siggy
    Sterling
    Di Maria
    Fabregas
    Schneiderlein
    Costa
    Ulloa
    Falcao

Have 2 FTs and 0.9m in bank - any suggestions what to do? I feel my team needs quite a bit of work with the likes of ulloa, schneiderlein, Begovic and Moreno

    Which would you prefer?

    A. Wilson Sterling Tadic Pelle Welbeck

    B. Baines Henderson Boyd Aguero Naismith

    Krul Elliott
    Ivanovic Hutton Duff Clyne X
    Fabregas ADM Siggy X X
    Costa X X

A appears better but would have a big one benched each week
B means I got to play one of Naismith Boyd Hutton or Duff each week

    Thanks for your time!!

Thanks..... Unfortunately it means losing Sterling with his nice fixtures coming up 🙁

Why not Sterling over Fabregas? Sterling offers a much higher goal threat than Fabregas and I feel Fabregas' assists will dry up son

Well you already have ivan, so maybe do baines to shawcross and upgrade in the mid to sterling... not sure if that works but a thought:D

A is more balanced, B is more explosive. A for me, but Tadic > cheaper mid and you could do Ivan > Baines.

Thanks Bevin, can actually do Wilson to Baines if I do Tadic to Boyd!

Hmm, Moreno, Wilson and Rose would be the ones I'd look at to get a Baines or Ivanovic in?

Again nice team. I would be happy with your MIDs and ATTs.

Moreno doesn't convince me so would consider taking him out. Depends how much in the bank but upgrading to azpi possibly?

      Wilson to chambers next week.

    (!) = Flag

    Lloris(!)

    Bertrand Kompany(!) Baines

    Fabregas ADM Sterling Siggy

    Costa Pelle Welbeck(!)

    Subs: Krul(!) Naylor Wisdom Cork

What would you do? Hope for the best?

        :p

Possibly one for the future, Jan WC maybe.

Don't want to end up with no keeper and having to rely on Wisdom at home to a United and Naylor away. Hope they are nothing injuries.

I wouldn't worry too much about flags this week. International breaks bring around a lot of 'knocks' that are fine.

Wow expensive keeper rotation and both flagged. Unlucky mate. I think hope for the best. Kompany would be the only one I'd be really worried about. Not sure on Lloris' situation

Yeah the keeper situation sucks. I brought them in on a WC a few weeks ago and Newcastle have been shocking since so if I get to 2 FTs I might downgrade anyway.
