KPI Analysis – Defenders, Last Four Gameweeks

Having previously assessed the form of forwards and midfielders across the last four Gameweeks, our third Key Performance Indicator (KPI) article of the international break casts an eye over the defenders.

For the unfamiliar, these Key Performers Indicator (KPI) tables use a series of key stats to allow our members to track a trend in player performance as a guide to their form. By tracking the frequency of certain key statistics, such as minutes per chance, and comparing them over two separate periods of time, we can ascertain patterns of improvement or decline in these areas. For those unfamiliar, we’ve rolled out a preview movie which shows just how to get the best out of the KPI tables.

      Lovren is appalling, in a terrible defensive team. I don't like Ayoze as well. Can't see him being first choice when Cisse is fit.

      I'd Make Dorrans cheaper and upgrade Ayoze if you can. I'd probably get rid of Lovren too until Liverpool show something convincingly defensively and use that to upgrade 3rd attacker too. Austin would probably be my target.

      It risks making squad templatey but:
      Dorrans
      Dorrans to Boyd
      Ayoze to Austin
      Lovren to best available defender. Maybe Swansea.

        Yeah. Its a tough call to leave him out tbh.

        But going by the stats his ppg for me was no better than Mata or Ramsey early season. Both a good bit cheaper and I didn't bat an eye losing either of them. Different with ADM.

        If I could have him for Downing through some freaking of value I'd be laughing lol

      I'd wait for more info on Di Maria and Tadic before doing anything.

      Mannone, Ward-Prowse and Van Aanholt, Naismith and maybe Diame would be guys I'd move on in near future.

      Van Aanholt is prob most pressing transfer, yun frees up some money to look at other positions.

    1FT and £1.6m in the bank. Already decided I'm doing Bego>Fabianski and Tadic>someone(downing?) next week so I could do with saving my transfer. Only problem is my XI will be pretty weak is Baines/Tadic/ADM don't start and I have to field my Burnley lads as well as Berahino away to Chelsea.
