FFS Paddy Power Cup X – Fourth Round Draw

Tonight we roll out the fourth round draw of the Fantasy Football Scout Cup X, as sponsored by Paddy Power, as well as  look back at the nail-biting conclusion to the Third Round ties.

With a score of 105 points, Made of Stone achieved the highest haul of the round. Given his losing opponent Paul Penney notched up an impressive 84 points, it shows just how tough this competition gets towards the final rounds. Made of Stone’s heroics, which included captaining David Silva and having John Terry and Pablo Zabaleta in his defence, earn him a round four tie against Nordeast.

The Fourth Round sees two top ten players looking to progress further in the competition. Randy Milla sits in seventh overall and faces 1,217th ranked Whalley DJ. Meanwhile, Doctor101 may be a credible 2,431st overall but has the tough task of taking on eighth placed Never Trust Lukaku.

Another name to watch out for in round four is Granville. Our Scoutcast co-host saw off Huddy in round three and will meet Fantasypete next.

Other notable community match ups in round four include Tommy J against Louis Van Goal and Dez against Gimli son of Gloin.

The full list of third round results can be found here, while the fourth round draw in full can be found here.

Good luck to those involved in the weekend’s action. In the meantime, though, if you’re looking for more information on the Scout Cup schedule and prizes available, click this link for a more thorough rundown.

Thinking of doing to following for a 4 point hit :-

    Costa > Benteke
    Siggy > Silva

    Yes or No?

Worth 4 points? Could save the MID swap but if I don't get Silva in now think it will be too late next gameweek.

Probably not worth 4 points considering both Chelsea and Swansea have a decent fixture this week.

Tekkers has a tough away game and silva is a gamble but the best of the two

Made use of 2 FTs early to afford the moves.

    Team for the next gw-

    Hamer
    Baines - Azpilicueta - Naylor
    Sanchez - Hazard - Yaya - Eriksen
    Rooney - Giroud - Austin

    Foster - Hutton - Marney - Saylor

    Got 0.1m in the bank.

Anything worth a hit? How is the team looking?

    Thanks. 🙂

Azpi Haza Sanchez Eriksen could all start on the bench

Don't think Eriksen and Hazard are gonna be rested in any of the upcoming games. They are the key players for their sides and I'm pretty sure both would start but maybe subbed early.

I was worried about Sanchez. But Arsenal dropping points at Liverpool and most of the Arsenal midfield remaining injured has made me fairly confident that he would start as well.

But yes I'm worried about Azpi. He may very well be rested.

I think azpi will start. West ham can only hurt chelsea on counters and crosses. Azpi is good at stopping all crosses

I've narrowed down my options to either:

    A) Bego > Hart. B) Bego > Panti C) Moore > Vergini. D) Save FT

    What transfer would you be doing if you had the team below;

    Begovic McCarthy
    Baines Azpi Naylor Clyne (Moore)
    Hazard Siggy Yaya (Downing, Boyd)
    Costa Bony Benteke

Scoutcast recorded. Almost didn't happen, it was a close one. Should be published some time early evening, whenever there is a slot.

We're all waiting on that, except for the 25k who have already transferred him out.

Is it worth transferring Siggy out for ADM? Or Sterling? 0ft 5.7 itb

    Adrian
    Zabaleta, Davies, Naylor
    Sanchez, Hazard, Silva, Sigurdsson
    Giroud(c), Kane, Costa

    Boyd, Dummet, Yun

RVP in for Costa could work as well

Costa will definitely start though and RVP might be rotated. More worried about having players guaranteed to play with the likes of Haz, Sanchez and Sigurdsson all at risk of rotation and injury.

Thinking of sticking with this for the week, and see if I can do anything with the 2FT after Boxing Day. Right move?

    Hart Pantilimon
    Azpi Baines Hutton Wisdom Dummett
    Hazard Sanchez Downing Siggy Boyd
    Costa Austin Bony

      No chance.

Mourinho in the post match interview sounded like he is gonna take West Ham very seriously.

Siggy/ADM/Silva or possibly Sterling for next few weeks?

Keeping Siggy would enable me to strengthen Marney (my 5th mid) to Bolassie or someone else around 6m

I thought that was my team for a minute (but he has a better bench)

Bench is in absolute tatters (Yun, Moore, Obertan) with Sanchez et al risks and Wisdom starting

    For a hit

    a) Obertan ➡ Boyd

    b) Moore ➡ Hutton

    c) Leave it and hope for the best

Edging towards b because I am fecking sick of Moore

      B and bench Wisdom.

I've just B for free. Normally I'd say not to do it for a hit, but sod it, you'll probably end up with 10 men and Hutton is good for the rest of Xmas.

Yep - it's the most magical time of the year (for a hit)
