So what do we do with Sunderland next week after last night's performance?

Stick with the double up for West Brom at home? I have a feeling they'll turn it around and get a cleanie but if Wisdom doesn't start tonight and Aldeweireld is back next week then I'll do Wisdom -> Alde next week, bench PvA and start Panti.

    Thoughts?

Hey guys. What is the general feeling towards Giroud? Lost his place now that Welbeck is back? Sell? Replace him with? Thanks

Not lost his place but clearly subject to rotation, as are most of arsenal's attack. It's a bit of a lottery right now.

This. It's annoying that he'll probably drop just because he was rested and it probably won't happen again for a while.

We are lacking a quality fifth mid and a quality third fwd.

Fwds: other than Kane and Aguero there is only Costa but he's banned.

Mids: Silva, Cazorla, Hazard, Boyd are all shoe ins. I guess it comes down to Fabs, Eriksen, Downing and Walcott.

They are not diffs - they are the players you should all have at this point. The diffs are the two problem positions I mentioned.

Gil/Mane/Eriksen/Sterling all options along with Sturbrige looks to be the best bet. Defoe for a budget striker.

Good comeback fair dos. Bar Erik, the others are players I am not wholly convinced by as yet.

Your choice of mids is bizarre. Only Hazard of those is a "shoe-in" and that's only because I had him from GW 1, he wouldn't be at 10.9 or whatever he is now.

Of the others, Cazorla is about to exit my team and Silva probably won't be far behind. Boyd I have no interest in, if I want a 5th mid to bench there are cheaper and better options and if I want one to play there are slightly more expensive but much better options.

Ozil is a natural choice in midfield (as I have been saying for some time) but with GW 27/28 on the horizon I have more important things to do with my FTs than to worry about him now. Downing I plan to bring back in around GW 30 when WHam's fixtures improve. Eriksen will come in from GW 28 and then stay for the forseeable future.

For the forwards, I don't have Sturridge and don't plan to get him but he's the FPL player I most fear not having.

        Bizarre?

Where have you been lately? Picking apples?

If you haven't seen what these players have been scoring of late, then there is no hope. I am not going to bother justifying each player; everyone can see the value of their worth right now.

Harry Kane's away record in the Premier League this season is nuts - 10 goals and 3 assists in 7 starts and 3 sub appearances. The consistency is particularly striking though: here's his FPL points for away matches in sequence, to illustrate the point:

    4/-1/8/8/2/8/12/7/13/11

The -1 was due to an own goal at Sunderland, and the only other blank came at Stamford Bridge.

Giroud not starting and needing to fund Sanchez(c). Thought I'd take a wild punt on someone with good fixtures and didn't really want to pick Defoe.

Did yet not get team sheets? (Time zones?)

I can clearly see now in hindsight that I mixed up Sanchez and Hazard as (c) and (vc) respectavely when Alexis was coming back from injury.

Very happy that I went with Ozil alongside Sanchez 🙂

I changed my mind checking the stats .. Ozil plays 90 minutes everytime he is fit, Giroud have only 1 game playing 90 minutes this season and he is also bigger rotation risk IMO 🙂

Newcastle is pretty attacking team 🙂 Haidara is playing like Bertrand or PvA but they are really exposed at the back .. I can't see a lot of clean sheets from this Newcastle ... but they have big attacking potential

These arsenal mids are a minefield.
    Sanchez,Ozil,Wally,Caz,Ramsey,Ox
    And then Welbz/Giroud.
I'm thinking if getting Fab back once the blank is gone.

Agree with you. However I think Sanchez and Ozil are slightly more nailed on than the rest. MAd not to play them when both a re healthy.

Who to drop for Fab then... Terry, Haz or Costa? Now that sounds too familiar..

Yea Adm>Ozil tempts me for sure, as I think I'll try do Giroud > Costa,
The only problem is that Sanchez and Ozil may be a tad expensive.

If humans had the decision-making aptitude of bees than following the herd (or the swarm) would be a wise idea.

As they don't, what the herd is doing is usually a good indicator of what to avoid.

Heard Bellerin was kinda crap defensively last night. This is just what I needed after taking an 8 point hit yesterday to fix my team that had 1 sure starter defender, Terry, the other were Baines, Bertrand, Wisdom, Wasi. I also had Chadli and Austin in my team. Do you think he might be dropped? Saw that Chambers doesn't even make the bench these days and Wenger has no other natural RB.

I'd say he'll start in the Cup game and then start the following week against Palace.

I think Wenger has released Chambers is terrible at RB (has had some shocking games there) and will stick with him as a backup CB.

      Always remember, Wenger is stubborn.

Yeah, I know, this is what I'm thinking and hoping too. I remember that game against Swansea when Montero literally destroyed Chambers. Although he might give Bellerin a rest in the Cup this weekend and play Chambo.

Yeah, he got destroyed by Montero. He's too slow.

I'm not so sure, I think Bellerin will start considering they will still have another week until their next match in any competition. You may well be right though.
