The Big Numbers – Gameweek 31

With the previous Gameweek finally coming to its conclusion yesterday evening, we now take time to delve into the data. Amongst tonight’s topics are Chelsea’s stand-in striker and in-form wide man, the City midfield, Palace’s form players at both ends of the pitch and Villa and Arsenal’s clinical frontmen.

debating using my wildcard this week. Is it worth it? This is my current team and the team i am tempted to change it to. Bit wary of having 3 southampton players at the back

    Current Team
    K Davis, Pantilimon
    PVA, Clyne, Clark, Wolscheid, Zouma
    Eriksen, Silva, Sanchez, Hazard, Phillips
    Giroud, Aguero, Kane

    Wildcard team
    K Davis, Gilks
    Ivanovic, Bertrand, Alderweild, Schulp, Mcshane
    Hazard, Silva, Sanchez, Sterling, Cork
    Gomis, Aguero, Kane

Without looking at your WC team this seems a total waste of a WC - there are much bigger weeks coming up to use it. Look at previous page & article to get a flavour of peoples thoughts.
      In short, NO.

      no no NOOOOOOO!!!

with liverpool having won tonight, they have a blank in GW33 now. double gameweek in 34 or 37, announcement coming tomorrow (according to FFS tweets).
so with a WC your best bet is to wait and see when liverpool's DGW is and use your WC for GW34 or GW37 accordingly.
well done for holding on this long by the way!

    Repost. Bottomed

If Pool DGW is confirmed for GW34 how does Eriksen & Austin > Hendo & Remy for free sound?

Only have Sanchez (and Pants) atm with a blank so can stash Hendo and still field 11 in GW33

Means getting rid of Erik with Villa at home although I've reached the end of my tether with him and would be getting rid the week after anyway

    Pants (Krul)
    Clyne Terry Toby (Dawson, Wolly)
    Haz Alexis Erik Silva (Cork)
    Kun Kane Austin

    2 frees, nada ITB

I'm a bit of a broken record, fancy Clyne to Moreno and Austin to Remy. 1 Sou def enough I reckon.

If Liverpool Double is 34 , how does this look for a WC team?

    Davis
    Ivanovic McShane Skrtel
    Sterling Silva Hazard Elmohammady Sanchez
    Sturridge Remy

    Hamer Kane Alderwielrd PvA

I know benching Kane is crazy, but he's playing southampton away?

I wonder how much people who missed out the Villa/QPR DGW will over compensate on the (potential) Chelsea/Liverpool DGW, let's hope it doesn't turn into a stinker like Spurs/QPR, Kane was the obvious choice but noting much else happended.

With so many more players to choose from and I include Leicester players in that too things will be alot more varied, especially as there is the Arsenal/Sunderland DGW 37 set up to consider too.

Even those with WCs have a big headache.

Now you see the sense. Hopefully Liverpool will agree to it

I actually saw it after TM's post

Pool play Palace GW37 but Sunderland have Leicester at home

That's must win if anything ever was

I can go into 37 with Panti, PvA, Defoe, Giroud. Sanchez +1 with the use of just 2 FTs (can wildcard PvA in at that price)

        ah not Aguero? 🙂

You should own Kane and/or Hazard and their fixtures are a lot more tempting 😉

Burnley doesn't concede at home lately, so I would avoid Arsenal even if they are in great form

Aguero will score a hat trick, since I sold him.

Not me. Pelle can't really afford to lose this one so he'll be cagey. Depends if there's an early goal, really - then anything could happen.

Pelle cagey, Pelle attacking, Pelle.... Have you noticed any real difference this year, there just not playing with any real pace this season in league or Europe - actually they've looked better in Europe because of the slower pace.

So having been murdered by the DGW gamblers this week is everybody going to be a little less cautious next time ?...A (-4) or (-8) doesn't seem to be quite such a mountain now...

I think leiscter and hull are actually the one to avoid this time. Neither with a proven centre forward like austin or benteke. only liv and che for me

But you can get players like Schmeichel, Schlupp or Bruce/Robertson who have a DGW a bit of attacking potential are cheap enough to go to 3rd afterwards enabling you to focus funds on the Pool, Chelsea and Arsenal big hitters

Pool players such as Skyrtel and Couts in would justify a hit with their good run of fixtures and bap potential. I might manage without a hit, Hull and Lei have little potential.
