    RMT

    Myhill / Stekelenburg

    Mertesacker / Azpilicueta / Kaboul / Naughton / Cedric

Jedinak / Ozil / Milner / Yaya Toure / Hazard

    Rooney / Giroud / Hooper

Should I downgrade Hazard to Fabregas and use the 2.5 to strengthen elsewhere?

Personally, I'd take some money and downgrade on two defenders who'll be benched most of the time and upgrade Hooper at least. Deeney or Wilson at 5.5 are much better budget options IMO but depends on what formation you'll be playing. If you're going for 3 up front, I'd upgrade Hooper.

    Schm, Butland
    Azp, Kos, Fonte, Rose, Huth,
    Haz, Caz, Mane, Johnson, Henderson
    Costa, Wilson, Sakho

Dilemma: Cazorla which performed good last year or Ozil who has had a very good pre season?

Dilemma: Will Kane be as good as last year, what about rotating Rooney, Costa and Kane?

I'm not too sure about only giving Giroud one week, feels like you have a transfer planned you don't need.

Currently no stand out 4m options in defence in terms of long term starts. Targett might get a few to begin with until Bertrand is back.

      1. @FuzzyWarbles

        8 years, 10 months ago

its more that I want kane long term and i like my team otherwise, so why not take advantage of Girouds week 1 matchup. his pitch time will only be more under threat when sanchez returns, and i dont feel like i need triple ars coverage, whereas after week 1 at OT, Kane has a run of fixtures worth the long term.

Thinking of deploying a 4-4-2 formation? Thoughts on alternative formations for the season apart from the 3-4-3.. Thoughts on Sterling's move and the fantasy potential of Depay

    RMT

    Myhill. Butland

    Ivanovic. Darmian. Alderweireld. Mertesacker. Mings

    Walcott. Sterling. Hazard. Henderson. King

    Rooney. Sakho. Wilson

Thanks for all the help 🙂

Not convinced by 4-4-2 I think I'd prefer 4-3-3 or 3-5-2 but that's just personal preference.

I like the look of your current team, 3-4-3 works well. Toby seems okay value at 5m but I wonder if someone like Jenkinson might be better? Or maybe even Cedric.

If you do opt for 4-4-2 then I'd probably recommend downgrading Wilson as you're going to be benching him anyway.

Thanks for the comments. With regards to Toby you might be right, but I'm not planning on starting him GW 1 so will give me time to see how the Saints line up and if they will continue to keep their strong defense record..

On the other hand I was under the impression that Wilson was nailed on..

    RMT please!

    Vorm
    Clyne, Lescott, Ivanovic
    Depay, Hazard, Ritchie, Cazorla
    Deeney, Costa, Rooney

    Subs: Schwarzer, Wanyama, Baker, Turner

    1. I thought I'd be cheeky and put Vorm in seeming as Lloris looks likely to miss the first gameweek or so as he's a very good keeper IMO and playing for a good side in Tottenham who are capable of keeping a clean sheet. At 4.5 I thought this is worth the risk and is easily swappable for Schmeichel or Speroni for example. Anyone think this is a good idea?

    2. Is it worth putting the money in to have all three of Aguero, Hazard and Sanchez in the team when they're all fully fit? They are all consistent high performers and could easily get to 200 points each! Or do you think funds would be better spent by spreading it out more. E.G. keeping the team as is or keeping Costa or Rooney and fitting Sanchez in by down grading a striker to approx 8-8.5? More generally, is it better to spread the cost or go for the high scorers?

      1. How long is Lloris supposed to be out for? Vorm feels like a transfer waiting to happen

      2. I'd want at least 2/3 of them as soon as possible. Not sure about the third, might take up too much money and can't have everyonr!

Not too sure about Lloris but it was a fractured wrist so could be a few weeks, I'm keeping eyes on it.

Exactly what i thought, 2/3 definitely but 3 could be too much. Choosing is so hard though!

    Please RMT:

    Speroni - Butland

    Ivan - Cedric - Mings - Bassong - Richards

    Sterling - Mane - Wally - Depay - Ritchie

    Rooney - Benteke - Bojan

Planning a WC after 5-7 weeks (performance depending). Not sure on the lack of chelsea attacking options, the double on on UTD attack, or the Bojan gamble (lots of changes to stoke team). Any points to change, or should I scrap and re-think completley?!

Henderson every day as he's the penalty taker. Also 110% nailed on starter for every game as he's captain. Milner may miss one or two with Rodgers' change of formations which could be valuable points

Of the three Ramsey least nailed tbh, and might be played out of position a bit (on the flank). But also cazorla is puched abit further back in the field now, especially against tougher opponents, so both are meh picks for me.

(Repost from bottom of previous page - sorry)

    RMT please:

    Schmeichel - Schwarzer

    Cedric - Jenkinson - O'Shea - Francis - Huth

    Hazard - Sterling - Ozil - Mane - Wanyama

    Rooney - Kane - Sakho

    Supporting logic:

    - Not having Hazard is playing with fire.

    - Early in the season Schmeichel looks good for a few clean sheets and, if not, save points.

    - Predicting which of Sterling, Ozil, Cazorla, Walcott, and Mane will play best is challenging, so I've included three of them instead of just two.

    - Clean sheets also are hard to predict (and I think harder to come by) early in the season, so I'm going for budget defenders who rotate well, likely will play 90, and can get some BAPS on occasion.

    - After three weeks, I will downgrade the worst performing of my aforementioned midfielders (to Ritchie or Mahrez or someone else who comes out of the wood works), and upgrade to Aguero.

    - As with the midfielders, I will allow Rooney and Kane to state their case with their results, and the least of the two will be upgraded to Aguero.

Thanks for the response. I've waffled on him as well. Would you go Fab instead? Walcott instead?

As pointed out, I'd rather not go with two lesser priced midfielders for now, so I'm willing to spend in the midfield. I'm just trying to find the best combination.

tbh you already have all the perceived big hitters in midfield.
You would double up on Arsenal and go with Walcott, though it might just be me hoping that Arsenal will start off well...

Like the analysis. Have almost the same midfield, only Walcott instead of Sterling. Better fixtures.
Also Instead of Kane and Sakho I have Benteke and Vardy so maybe I'll upgrade to Kane and get Wilson/Deeney

I was on Walcott for a while and only recently changed to Sterling. I guess I'm worried about Walcott splitting time when Sanchez is back, and I feel like I need some City coverage early - before I draft in Aguero.

I'd personally downgrade Chadli (never been convinced, don't know why) to Ritchie which will give you 1mil and uprgade Jerome to Deeney or Wilson who are the best budget strikers IMO. You could go further and downgrade Chadli to Wanyama who's 4.5mil seeming as he'll be benched in your team most of the season but still useful as he plays games. That'll free up 2.5mil for upgrades.

    Few Q's for scouts.

Which on is more likely to start. Darmian or Shaw? Could they be this yrs Clyne and Berty.

Best 4.5 gk to start with as a only playing gk?

    Your Arsenal midfielder of choice?

I think early on they'll both start. Shaw potentially has more competition. I will probably go with Shaw.

Not sure on 4.5m GKs - I'm going Pantilimon so haven't really looked into it.

Walcott if he starts charity shield otherwise Ramsey.

    RMT and suggestions/alternatives please:

    Schmeichel/Krul
    Jagielka, Koscielny, Azpi, Baker, O'Shea
    Hazard, Cazorla, Henderson, Sterling, Surman
    Rooney, Benteke, Callum Wilson.

Not the greatest GK rotation partner. Would suggest getting Myhill for Krul.

Can you afford. Better option than Henderson?

      Otherwise, looks good :]

    Here's my initial effort:

    Schmeical
    Azpi/Kos/Cedric
    Haz/Ozil/Milner/Silva
    Roo/Pelle/Defoe

    Schwarzer/Wanyama/Prodl/Mings

Looking really to get in attacking players with good early season fixtures, whilst playing the long game with the defenders..

Not quite sure how I'll fund Aguero when required, but could do some minor surgery before GW4 without needing a WC.

good but rather expensive defence there and not sure on defoe as a prospect.

I'd downgrade defence or switch defoe to another 6-5.5 striker

    Many thanks for RMT

    Boruc
    Azpi/Mert/Huth
    Haz/Silva/Wally/Puncheon
    Rooney/Tekkers/Wilson

    Bench:Ruddy/Wanyama/O'Shea/Richards
    0.5 in the Bank

Hear Boruc has a shoulder problem and if that keeps him out I would switch in Butland
Not sold on Punch but I saw he has some nice fixture in the first couple of weeks so I thought it was maybe worth a punt

Please rate my (current) team 😉

    Ruddy, Myhill
Ivanovic, Francis, Huth, van Aanholt, Jenkinson
Hazard, Walcott, Milner, Ritchie / Wanyama
    Rooney, Costa, Deeney

Could also do Ritchie & Costa ---> Mane & Benteke
    or
    Ivanovic & van Aanholt & Ritchie & Costa ---> Azpilicueta & 4.5 def & Redmond & Agüero

    And I've a few questions:

    Henderson v Milner
    Best Sunderland 4.5 defender pick
Start with Agüero or not ?
Deeney v Wilson for 3rd striker spot and are Sakho/Vardy worth the extra money
Are Redmond and Lens decent options as 4th mid ?
Predict the Leicester v Sunderland GW1 result (0:0 imo...)
Alderweireld underpriced/worth having or still "Never buy a Spurs defender" ?

    Thanks !

I have to reply because of your nickname (Lyon fan here too).

      Here's what I think :
      Milner
      O'Shea
      No
I think Sakho is worth the extra money
      Don't think so
Tough call, could go either way
      Underpriced

    Ruddy, Butland
    Ivanovic, Cedric, Mings, Jenkinson, 4.0
    Hazard, Ramsey, Theo, Redomnd, Ritchie
    Sakho, Rooney, Pelle

Worth a Ritchie / Sakho rotation instead of buying half of 4.5?
I thought about changing Chadli by Ramsey. What do you think?

Well done. Personally, I worry that the only way you can upgrade to Aguero is through Rooney (so what do you do if Rooney goes crazy the first few games?), but it's a well-balanced team.

    RMT

    Butland - Myhil

    Coates - Mings - Huth - Clyne - Cedric

    Ritchie - Cazorla - Hazard - Henderson - Mane

    Deeney - Costa - Sakho

3 mil in the bank. Plan to bring in Aguero for Costa GW4

Question. Am I too light in Defense/Attack? Who could I downgrade Hendo/Mane for? and who should I look to bring in?

    Any advice/helpwould be greatly appricated

    RMT

    Myhill, (Hennesey)
Ivanovic, Cedric, Mertesacker (Targett, R Bennett)
Walcott, Henderson, Yaya Toure, Hazard (Wanyama)
    Berahino, Rooney, Benteke

    0 ITB

I am looking for advice on the balance of the team, looking to get the consistent performers (Hazard, Ivanovic) with some differentials (Yaya 17%, Walcott 8.2%) that I think offer good value. Clearly my bench is very weak but I think beginning of the season you can get away with it as few players are rested. Over the course of the season I start to improve my bench. Some of these picks will also depend on certain events (whether Arsenal buy another striker and if Yaya is on pks). The positive is there are plenty of options in that price range if needed. Lastly, not sold on Berahino, could be swayed to Sakho or even Deeney. Thanks!

I would get rid of Berahino (not good fixtures to start) and bring in either Deeney or Wilson(better fixtures to start) and then you could use those funds somewhere else like maybe strengthen the bench some

Aguero starts GW1, mark my words!

    Reasons:

    - Jovetic sold to Inter
    - Dzeko off to Roma
    - Bony has been ill/injured and played no part in pre season
    - City will want a fast start
