    Looks like that Defoe goal wasn't enough to change Sunday night's green arrow into a red! If anything it probably helped....

    First one for a while. A -8 probably won't help retain it, neither will a light midfield but it should make for an interesting gameweek.

      I had the exact opposite of your GW. My -8 took me from 50k to 80k but not too worried about it as my team is set up.

    I think FPL should award 1 pt for 60 mins of a clean sheet even if a goal is conceded subsequently. Makes defenders more consistent.

        Defenders are attractive but sometimes overlooked because they're not knocking in the goals and assists.

        Take Chris Smalling for example - averaging 5ppg this season. Probably not many midfielders his price or under doing that.

          You also need to consider that you're not paying anywhere near as much for a top defender as you are for a top midfielder, so youu can't have them delivering the points of an Ozil or a Kane

          Top scoring mids and forwards have scored 90+ points already this season, the best defenders are in the 60's.

      Defenders tackle more, get more cards, lose bps for fouls, lose -0.5 per goal conceded and are relatively much farther from the opposition goal for attacking returns.

    Planning to spend the 7.5 ITB on Kun and Kane, but is it to early to make the moves given that Lukaku and Ighalo have good form and fixtures ( bou, CPL, nor & avl, NOR, sun respectively) and Vardy is in record breaking form ?. Considering waiting until GW16, but Kun and Kane's prices are likely to have rocketed by then.

      Good team. No need to change anything. I half-agree with Wardinator, maybe Kolorov and Richards could be swapped at some point, but there's no urgency. Ditch Kolorov when the rotation kicks in. Give Richards a couple more games, he's a good player and Remi Garde HAS to improve that defence. Everton was worrying, sure, but they kept out Man City... Arsenal just lost a key part of their defensive setup, there aren't a lot of clean sheets out there. Man U do look like the best defence right now...

      But that's a really good team. Run with it, build up a couple of FTs. No hurry.

      Not bothered working out prices, but I'd sell Pelle and Ighalo for Aguero and one of Kane/Lukaku (depending on how much you have to spend). Find these moves by selling one of your mids for a 4.5.

        Few penalty issues ironed out with people returning from injury. Few players moved around on set pieces. Rooney taking far less, Mata more dominant on those. Cabaye taking over more set pieces from Puncheon too.

          Well I don't share everyone's negativity. I've just done something very similar, but it was to upgrade Ighalo to Kun, so I feel your pain on finding spare cash. I was able to do it with Kolarov > Ward.

          I suppose the issue the others may have is in even selling Vardy. Is that to leave you with Kun, Kane and Lukaku, or os there another striker you could lose for Aguero?

          It is a bloody mess for poor Wenger. The problem is his Coq is rather brittle, even after it heals, he should really have some form of Coq substitute to keep him going if he breaks it again. In short, yes, he needs to go to the market and buy something like Coq.

    Every week recently I've been forced in to transfers due to injuries or bans. Itching to get rid of Westwood and improve defence. With that in mind is anything worth a hit here? I'm guessing not but when the likes of Pelle, Payet etc fall red I don't get the chance on a freebie to improve these parts which is frustrating me.
