Fantasy Football Scout Cups – Fifth Round Draws

This afternoon we reveal the results from the fourth rounds of the Fantasy Football Scout Cup XII and Members Cup VI as well as roll out the fifth round draws that take place in Gameweek 27.

With all former winners out of the Fantasy Football Scout Cup XII a new name is guaranteed on the trophy.

Amongst the favourites is Mr Rabbit, who at 718th is the highest ranked manager left in the competition and saw off Dr Congo in the fourth round to set up a fifth round clash with community regular Numb.

Other notable match ups include the second highest placed manager in the tournament coffee-geek, who is ranked 1370th. He defeated our suspension tightrope custodian Anorak and faces jwhizzle in Round 5.

Another to dispatch a FFScout contributor is Rickytoso who defeated our resident physiotherapy expert Facer in Round 4 and takes on BMFC in the fifth round.

The full Fantasy Football Scout Cup XII Round 4 results can be found here, while the Round 5 draw can be found here.

A new name will also be on the Members Cup this year after all former winners departed back in the first round.

Peadarb remains the competitor to beat in the Members Cup. With a ranking of 377 he is the highest placed remaining manager and faces kula hiyo fc in Round 5, after seeing off Alzo Utd in Round 4.

While ranked just 409,571, kula hiyo fc is not to be underestimated, having seen off former FPL champion Dufflinks (aka Simon March) in Round 4.

The full Members Cup Round 4 results can be found here, while the Round 5 draw can be found here.

A question from someone new to FPL

What is a good Team Value to have at this stage and what does it indicate?

    I have a Team value £105.6m

    In the bank £1.6m

    Thanks.

Team Value doesn't mean much, concentrate on Points...your team value will automatically be high!

If you have your second wildcard still available, and a high Total Value (team value + itb) then you should be able to afford a more expensive team. This season has proven that more expensive does not equate to more points though

Depends on your players' fitness and your playing styles. Teams like Spurs and Pool probably can't start key players in both comps given their pressing styles.

          • 8 Years

Depends. It's tought for Spurs - they may go all in and either win or lose everything, Poch is aware that being desperate to win Europa trophy may be disastrous for their league performances.

In United's case we can fully focus on the cups - there is probably not much to look for in the league, so team playing in Europa should be as good as possible.

        Ok , here's my tuppence.

As an Arsenal supporter and with this season in mind. We are likely to be out of CL so all focus is on winning the PL . Winning the PL is far ,far, more important to me than winning Europa. CL is far and away above Europa ,and PL for that matter.

So if Arsenal fail , and finish second in PL , its all good , its about the long term effort

Say what you like, Europa league is there for the lesser lights . We all have our opinions , but for me it's not all that much

And the reason for that is ... because it is no longer the Cup-Winners' Cup. Which really meant something.

Indeed. And because the Champions League is no longer only for Champions.

With respect i wouldn't expect an Arsenal fan to say any different as all you have done for the last 12 years is challenge in the league with no trophy and about the last 18 years in the Champions league without a trophy.. Winning is what counts for players and fans alike at the end of the day and yes the league title and champions league are much more prestigous medals to have in your cabinet than the Europa League but 2nd place or runners up medals mean nothing

Yeah, winning any lower type tournament is better than fighting to win at the top . Having a medal for the sake of a medal . We all have our opinions , but you know mine.
The fact that Arsenal have struggled for some time has zero bearing though

The winners of this lower type tournament add a European trophy as well as the chance to fight to win at the top the following season..

Agree , great they get the chance to get CL . But point remains , would rather fight for PL title , and finish second if that's how it pans

I enjoy the endeavour , the lifting of a trophy is a cherry , sure. But if that the be all an end all , where does that leave supporters of smaller clubs ?

Well there are clubs that have the resources to compete at the highest level and are expected to win trophies and there are those that don't and aren't quite simply.. Those smaller clubs as you put it could be forgiven for thinking 2nd place is an achievement for obvious reasons but a club like Arsenal? never

Yeah, and I have and will become more critical of Arsenal .
But I do accept the " restructuring process" that the went through.

Point really was , sometimes winning a medal is not the be all and end all of a successfull season
