FFS Cup

The FFS Cup – Sponsored by FanDuel – Fourth Round Draw

This evening we reveal who has made it through to the fourth round of our open to all Fantasy Premier League cup competition.

For this latest contest there are more than £1,000 worth of prizes for UK based entrants courtesy of our partner FanDuel, as well as £350 in Amazon vouchers to the top three managers at the end of the competition.

In addition, the highest scoring manager each round will win a £30 FanDuel credit, with the four next highest scores earning a £10 credit.

The third round saw all three of our remaining champions depart, which means there will be a new name on the trophy at the end of the competition.

Last year’s winner I Casillas Winning was beaten by Allezlechef 71 to 55, Gribude lost to Cok3y5murf and MCH failed to get the better of community regular Rhinos.

The highest scoring managers of the round and recipients of a £30 FanDuel credit are Bacuna Matata and Pinky Unites, who both brought in a haul of 104 points.

Those who win a £10 FanDuel credit for stellar Gameweek scores are: NUFC Fifer and Raul Seleccion, who accrued 102 points; Δημητρης Καραμπουρνιωτης, who earned 98 points; and TeaM McNaCe and BC1, who both notched 97 in Gameweek 14.

Of these Gameweek 14 titans, Bacuna Matata is the highest ranked manager left in the competition. His impressive tally takes him up to 111 in the rankings and a round four clash with fplbet.

Raul Selecion is just behind, in 112th place, and takes on Fat B*d in the next stage of the tournament.

The community regular who has drawn the short straw to face another form manager, Pinky Unites, in round four is Tommy J.

The Scoutcast’s last representative, Andy85wsm, bows out with his score of 73 proving no match for Anuliz’s 94 points.

Two other members of the Fantasy Football Scout moderator and contributor team, GreenWindmill and Stilicho, also leave, after being beaten by Archie and lowlifegimpe respectively.

That leaves TorresMagic to fly the FFScout flag alone. He beat Isaaclun in round three and next takes on Zambhino10, who is ranked more than 100,000 places behind him, in this weekend’s tie.

Another encounter to keep an eye on is a dangerous looking Chelsea themed derby between Hazardous Blue and Hazardous to repeat.

The third round results can be found via this link, while the full fourth round draw can be found here.

Good luck to those still involved and if you would like more information on the schedule and prizes click this link.

    Who to captain?

    A) Sanchez (On fire, but last time he scored 5 goals in 2 games I think I remember him not scoring the next couple of games?)
    B) Hazard (at Home to West Brom, but didn`t look lethal last game (at least not the first 90min))
    C) Costa (This guy is really impressing me!)
    D) Mane (Been really good at Home. Playing against a West Ham in total crisis. But Liverpool got some problems aswell)

all really good imo. As Mane isn't it many teamt I would go him - this could give you green arrows if he get points vs WHU.
      Sanchez is safe option.

Yeah Im thinking the same. Got some green arrows the last GWs and finally not far from the top in my cash-leagues (10-15p).
I wanna play it safe, but at the same time do the moves thats best value in the long run.
Right now I`m on Mane or Sanchez. But after 2 GWs with San(c)hez it would be really awesome to pick Mane when everybody else picks Sanchez and have success!

Anyone else tempted by firminho captain? I know it's a bit risky with his recent blanks but West Ham are awful currently and there is something appealing about captain in the last game...

Who would you prioritise out of this lot, I'm thinking a hit to bring in Alonso.
    2.6 itb.
    (Foster/Pickford)
    Jevan/Prodl/Pieters/Friend*/Amat**

    * Friend should be back for Pool gw16 and has decent fixtures after that.
** Amat is an enabler as such and has decent fixtures now.

Only problem with that is I wanted to play Prodl (Eve) this week, other than that he'd be gone.

        Currently lined up as
Prodl (Eve)/ Amat (Sun) /Pieters (ars)

Unless I play BB and unleash Fletcher and avoid hit altogether!

Alonso is like a midfielder in your defense with a chance for points for CS plus every goal is 6 pts. Imagine if you could have Moses in place of one of your defenders (and he's even better)

Hazard or KDB which will u rather have in your team?

keep in mind chelsea have a good run of fixtures but hazard seems to blow cold against lower rank teams.
mancity lost aguero so high chance KDB will be pushed higher in attack. but not forgetting nolito have slotted in agueros position before and theres nacho waitin in the wings.

    what say you

Ever think you've become obsessional about FPL?

Last night I went to my pals and watched the final four Westworld episodes with a few beers.

Normally in the morning I get up at 7:45am but this morning the missus woke me up at 8:30 in the middle of a nightmare which involved Sergio Aguero shooting six men and each one counting for four points. Even though he was suspended!!

Shhh, been planning on captaining Mane for weeks.

I grabbed Alexis this week but very concerned he may not start against Stoke.

No previous data other than some logic that Wenger sees us (stoke) as a kick 'em side so Giroud may be more suited to the physical side.

It's a fixture he'd expect to win either way and then it gives Sanchez a rest for the Christmas period.

Hard to second guess managers but it's a bit of risk I think is worth flagging to the community.

If anyone has previous line ups against stoke that would be amazing.

Don't want to scaremonger, and to be clear I transferred in Sanchez 🙂

Since he joined Arsenal there have been 4 fixtures against Stoke.
Sanchez has played in 3, scoring twice and assisting twice.
The match he missed was away to Stoke last season when he was recovering from a hamstring injury.
He blanked in last season's 2-0 home win.

Told this story yesterday but that was a good boxing day memory.

I think he played in the late game and was my captain. Nearly, if not all my other attackers scored well already and I saw the missed pen and lost signal!

Wasn't a good couple of hours with the family until I finally got signal back and saw that he'd gotten points 🙂

                My team that week:

                Guzan 2
                Skrtel 9
                Baines 2

                Bony (vc) 2
                Austin 7

I'd say I had something similar, I clearly remember that he was on 20 as captain.

I don't think I scored that highly as part of me thinks I wouldn't have had Terry. Skrtel, Hazard, Sigurdsson, Kane and Austin sounds familiar though.

Looking good for Sanchez owners this weekend then.

There's a possibility that he's benched, not because of the opponent but because Everton A and Man City A are tougher matches.
He hit the post twice last season home to Stoke and blanked

He really didn't need to play him last night, doubt Wenger expected PSG to slip up but he did because he says it's important for him to keep going in this form (or similar to that) defies logic to think that he'll play him last night so he can rest him for an important league game.

Arsenal are used to playing 3 games in a week, Wenger won't be resting him, he played him with one leg before.

      Impossible with his form!
He was substituted in 70 min. not to risk injury and play next game. Everton is on tuesday and city is next sunday. So it is 4 days rest before Stoke, 3 everton, 5 city. He'll play all of them imo.

It SHOULD be okay as my PC was working fine - was just the consoles (also wired in the same location, and anything wireless that was borked).

        Will check later tonight.

People on Facebook were saying it was DNS issues which could be fixed by changing to Google DNS or something. Hopefully though it'll just be working later 🙂

Wondering how much longer I keep Clyne for!
WHM mid eve STO looks good for clean sheets.

I got Lovren at 4.9m so it's probably an easier decision, I'll be keeping. With my current defence taking into account I'll play Alonso every week I get these fixtures over next 6. Not perfect but it'll do, and that includes Lovren playing against West Ham (h), Boro (a), Stoke (h)

        Everton (h) - West Ham (h)
        Boro (a) - Swansea (h)
        Sunderland (a) - Man United (h)
        Palace (h) - Stoke (h)
        Bournemouth (a) - Southampton (a)
        Stoke (a) - Hull (h)

I got rid of Firmino for -4 but he's blanked for last 3 so perhaps it was easier to talk myself into it...

If Sanchez' price wasn't rising this week I'd have probably have gone without. Everton (a) and Man City (a) not ideal, but I couldn't let the price get out of reach when I'll want him after Christmas for sure.
