Dugout Discussion

Dugout Discussion – West Ham vs Man United

A hectic afternoon with points aplenty will hopefully continue with the tea-time kick-off at the London Stadium.

With Sergio Aguero emerging from the bench to return a goal and potential bonus points at the Etihad, our attention now switches to the red side of Manchester and their own talismanic goalscorer – Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Heavily backed by FPL managers once again, the Swede takes on the Hammers with 24.1% of the Gameweek 20 armbands strapped to his bicep.

Elsewhere, Jose Mourinho recalls Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo at centre-back as two of five changes to his line-up; Henrikh Mkhitaryan earns his second successive start.

For West Ham, Andy Carroll drops to the bench having started the last four Gameweeks. Mark Noble and Andre Ayew also drop out as Pedro Obiang, Manuel Lanzini and Sofiane Feghouli earn starts.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

I was just saying the other day on here that Everton were rubbish and Baines was not worth getting in. The moral of this story is never listen to any fat mancs.

ny lucky buggers with Nyom must be feeling jammy as f***

Should've done that Clyne hit to Baines and Evans to Brunt I was talked out of.. Lessons learned: I am bad at this game, always go with your gut.

I think Baines is back to essential tbh.

Such a tough season. I've got a decent history, seven years inside the top 13k, but this season is such hard work. Most weeks seem mediocre and I just don't remember any weeks where I've had a monster score. Makes it a challenge and I'm still enjoying it, just can't get a breakthrough.

My mini-league is upside down this year in terms of usual placements. So much luck involved this year.

I think it's more challenging though. Previous seasons have had people choosing the template team and sticking with it for weeks on end with only minor changes needed for injuries and the like. This year has lots of good options and has been very much about getting the right people at the right time. More prone to bad luck, but also requiring more skill I think

It's odd though, because the PL table is 'normal' this year, whereas last year it was unusual and good FPL managers benefited from shrewd decisions.

to clarify, you cannot run without both feet being off the ground so that ballacks can stop right now.
Was never a red BUT w/Mike Dean he's liable to give one.

Interesting the commentator originally thought it was a red for Jones so wasn't a clear cut one way call

Jones played the old injured party trick well to avoid a booking

    2. Somalion
      • 14 Years

When I saw it in play it looked a late lunge from Feghouli and when the commentator said a red for Jones I actually shouted "No, for Feghouli"

Then I saw the replay and thought it was harsh to give a RC. Suppose it just shows I'd be as awesome as Mike Dean at reffing.
