FanDuel

Introducing the FanDuel Social League

This month we have teamed up with FanDuel to launch a free to enter league, spanning the next four Gameweeks.

This marks a departure from FanDuel’s usual weekly and daily game setup to offer a distinct league format over a number of Gameweeks.

There will be a range of prizes for the highest scores each Gameweek as well as for the best overall scorers.

In total, there are £200 in Amazon vouchers and £250 in FanDuel credit up for grabs in what looks to be compelling mid-season add-on, particularly for those currently treading water with their Fantasy Premier League line-ups.

Existing FanDuel customers, as well as those new to the game, are free to take part, although it is worth noting that this is only available to UK-based customers.

In addition, for new customers that register for the league, FanDuel are giving away a free £5 credit, which can be accessed by using the promocode SCOUTFIVER when signing up via this link.

If you’re building a FanDuel lineup for the first time we recommend taking a look at our strategy guide that examines which players to target in the various positions.

Getting Started

Click here and pick you FanDuel lineup for Gameweek 22’s matches.

Once you’re lineup is complete, you will either need to register an account or log in.

If you’re registering for the first time, Don’t forget to use the promocode “SCOUTFIVER” to claim your free credit.

Once your lineup is entered you can log back in and edit it, right up until the kick-off in the first match, using this link.

Managing Your Lineup

Each week in our FanDuel Focus article we will be providing a link to the current table of scores before publishing the new link required to select your next Gameweek lineup.

We will also be using our Twitter and Facebook pages to share these links.

Schedule and prizes

The competition takes place over Gameweek 22 – Gameweek 25, with the deadline for entries set at 12:30pm Saturday January 21.

Each Gameweek, the top scoring manager will receive a £25 Amazon voucher and each of the top five highest scorers will get a £10 FanDuel credit.

The overall league score will be measured by combining your top three Gameweek scores over the four set of fixtures.

The overall prizes are:

First place – £50 Amazon voucher, £50 FanDuel credit

Second place – £30 Amazon voucher, £30 FanDuel credit

Third place – £20 Amazon voucher, £20 FanDuel credit

Fourth place – £10 FanDuel credit

Fifth – tenth place – £5 FanDuel credit

Any regrets from managers who have shifted to a 3-5-2?

Why would there be? I'm 3-4-3 myself but looking to go 3-5-2 like many others.

Thats why i'm asking myself, looking to switch formation.

With Lukaku, Defoe, Kane, Aguero and Ibrahimovic still good options and Costa and Giroud also in the mix.

No regrets - look at the form on FPL transfers - have had Ibra and Kane so apart from Defoe the 5 in midfield (any of FFS favourites, Spurs boys, Sanchez, Hazard even and Phillips) have outperformed all forwards

        Good points well made.

Yup, Kane Sanchez Ibra and to my detriment Hazard will give you a good choice every week

If you sorted by Form on FPL Transfers, Alli is way out in front on 11.8 (due to an unsustainable 3 consecutive hat tricks).

The second placed midfielder is Eriksen on 7.0

The top 5 strikers all equal or better that 7.0.

Are you looking at something else?

    3. Misery Loves Kompany

Quite the opposite, only formation regrets I've had this season have been when switching AWAY from a 3-5-2. 4-4-2 also an option this season with the wealth of attacking defender options.

Tried to revert to 3-4-3 twice, only to yo-yo back to 3-5-2 afterwards, I'm in the middle of one such change now (Giroud to Crouch as bench warmer, upgraded De Roon to Coutinho).

I've definitely had consistently better options this season when fielding a strong 5 in midfield.

Nope, reverted to 3-5-2 this coming weekend. Will probably stay there for rest of the season now, unless Lukaku shows some mad run of form making him essential with Kane and Ibra.

Some of us only have 1FT & other issues like defender injuries, so just because we still have costa doesn't mean we're in denial.
Just waiting to see if this situation is resolved before Friday, if we didn't sell before the deadline then it commons sense to just wait until the end of the week, I can't get Kane hat tricks back but could miss out on costa goals v hull if we sell now

Lots of love for Lukaku but Barkley and Mirallas are slipping under the radar i think if you are sticking to 352 ans have the two best forwards for that formation i.e. Ibra and Kane if you got one or both of the Everton mids you could do better than Lukaku in the long run imo

If you are playing with a 343 Lukaku is a excellent choice for 3rd striker along with Giroud

So Costa has trained two times (with the team?) already. Slight chance of him making it against Hull then. China and the row behind you and Conte now... Oh please you horrible ogre of a player, please be fit and start and demolish Hull and repay my faith in holding you. Not too much to ask right?

Having said this, he'll probably start, throw a fit and eat someone alive, attack his team mates and be banned for life.

Hey guys. Having trouble deciding whether I should stick to 3-4-3 or go 3-5-2.

    My offensive players are:

    Lallana - Sanchez - Hazard - Phillips - 4.3

    Ibra - Defoe - Giroud

    2.8 m ITB - 1 FT

Lallana is playing Swansea, so taking him out for Eriksen/Alli who's playing City might not be the smartest move, even though they conceded four goals against Everton. I cant afford to upgrade my 4.3 to Alli/Eriksen. So my alternative is to sell Giroud and get Kane. That would mean I hold on to 3-4-3 though, and spurs midfield seems more consistent than Kane.

Any tips as to what I should do with my team? Thx in advance!

    Re-post as reply failed.

I'd do Aguero to Lukaku and upgrade Clayton or Allen to a better mid.

    Or

Giroud to Lukaku and Allen to Stanislas.

Hm, Im thinking of choosing Lovren over Eriksen. Eriksen good form and City not, but your never know with City and I dont think Spurs will score a lot of goals in that game. Maybe 1-2. Think there is a high chance for Lovren to get clean sheet, but yeah not sure who to pick yet 😛

    a) Giroud to Lukaku
    b) Giroud/Ake to Lukaku/Baines -4
    c) Pogba/Barnes to Stanislas/Lukaku -4

    Thanks for any help

Got 2 FTs but can't make the moves I want until I sell Hazard.

Therefore, is it worth selling Eriksen this week for Coutinho/Pedro with a view to getting Eriksen/Alli back in for Hazard after next GW?

Also own Kane from Spurs by the way and I do think Eriksen could do well himself, it's just that Coutinho/Pedro have a higher ceiling this week imo.

How about getting Milner in for Liverpool coverage, looks consistently good and always involved. Also on corners and pens and cos of his price easier to get in without sacrifice as with Cout/Firm/Lallana

Wouldn't be an easier or harder to get Milner in instead of Cout though, it'd still have to be Eriksen/Hazard making way.
